Every appearance with Ghetsis has him harming or attempting to harm at least 1 child. Gonna be real odd to have him on a team full of them.
Jasmine summoning banner is now live, if you want to pull for her. That being said, the 1 year anniversary is coming up soon so I'm conserving my gems for the most part.
Flying Training Event is also live, and includes a Skyla merge as its purchaseable reward. Skyla also has an expanded Sync Grid, as does Jasmine right out the gate.

Double-post, but they just added a limited-time survey to the game's news screen, primarily focused on the scheduled implementation of a stamina system. Completing it will earn you 300 Gems at a later date, so I recommend doing it. I also recommend requesting additional 3-star and 4-star sync pairs available in the scouting pool, when asked what you'd like to see changed about the game, but that's just what I want. 
On a related note, the stamina system they're proposing would be compensated with dectupling the rewards from battles; I can't really say no to that.

A huge update dropped today, adding in new Egg mechanics. Now you can get Eggs that hatch into various Pokemon when you do battles. These Egg-born Pokemon are different from regular Sync Pairs, in that they've got randomized roles and other things.
We've also got several upcoming Sync Pairs: Serena & Fennekin, Lucy & Seviper, and Morty &... Drifblim? Also the next Legendary Arena opponent will be Cobalion

Serena is live and holy shit is she powerful.
Fire Spin and Hypnosis, with a skill that makes Hypnosis hit all three opponents instead of just one. Then another skill that makes her deal more damage to sleeping foes. On top of that, apparently between trap damage and her skills all stacking just right, her DPS exceeds Red's.
I managed to get one of her, though you need her at 3/5 to take full advantage of her Sync Grid.

Wait really? That's weird.
Looked it up, apparently it's due to COVID-19 impacting the English dub's recording ability. Their voices will be added later, like Say'ri in Fire Emblem Heroes.
On an unrelated note, I was able to clear Cobalion's arena challenge within the requisite number of Sync Pairs and got a shiny 4-star medal. Serena was all well and good but Flannery was the real MVP. She's honestly one of the best units in the game despite being a free-to-play.

Got myself three Lucys, putting her at 3/5.
She's actually a 4-star unit (the first non-F 2 P one since the game's launch!) so she's pretty easy to get.
I wouldn't mind if they did this more often, release new 4-star units piggybacking on an old 5-star's rerun banner.

I was wondering when somebody else would post here. Didn't wanna triple post.
Besides the debut of Summer Steven, Summer Lyra, and appearances by Lisia and Ryuki, the datamine also includes Sygna Suit Cynthia with Kommo-o, and Cyrus with Palkia as the next Legendary Event. Also Latios as the next Legendary Arena, and a Rock-type Egg Event.
New Stamina system is... fine actually. I don't grind away all day anyway so it's unlikely to be a problem for me. Skip tickets are a boon.

default base level cap is 100 now, but in return level cap increasing items are harder to obtain

Not counting egg Pokemon they haven't duplicated any Sync Pairs' Pokemon yet and have deliberately gone out of their way to avoid it, by doing things like giving Winona Pelipper or Maylene Meditite. I suspect Riley will have a different Pokemon, such as Ursaring, Heracross, or Breloom.
