I can legit see it happening too. Heck, given Holst and Bergliez's on-screen presence in Three Hopes suggests they're taking the chance to adress issues fans had with OG 3Hs, I wonder if they'll actually make Edelgard's story (Scarlet Blaze I think?) have the same lenght as Dimitri and Claude's routes (I know I might seem like a given, but you never really know).

I think one of the most interesting parts of Conquest and Crimson Flowers is that you face up against characters who are traditionally heroes of Fire Emblem, right down to Dimitri being far more Marth in CF, but since the Player is on the villain team it shakes up the whole dynamic.

I'll teach you a lesson about just how cruel the world can be. That's my job, as an adult.

Thinking about it, I think Crimson Flowers might have been just a tiny bit more palatable to me if it didn't involve collaboration with the Mole Nazis. Sure, having to fight a traumatized genocide survivor and put up with said genocide survivor being unfairly villainized by an imperialist would still feel icky to me, but having to work with those who slither in the dark was definitely one of my bigger turn-offs.

That's why my biggest hope is that we at least see Edelgard break away from those who slither in the dark in her Three Hopes route. Or, if that isn't possible, be like Three Houses and have a route where you can have the Black Eagles fight against those who slither in the dark instead of fight alongside them.

A random thought: I wonder if the DLC classes in Three Houses will return as DLC classes in Three Hopes. I've wondered before if the Ashen Wolves would end up being DLC, but now I'm wondering if the Trickster, War Monk, Valkyrie, and Dark Flier classes will return in Three Hopes as DLC as well.

I appear to be the opposite of general consensus. I love Bernadetta's new look, while Petra's doesn't work for me. Dorothea looks identical, but I guess you can't improve on perfection. But the star of the show is Ferdinand von Aegir, who once again is the most dashing, fabulous hunkonen on the battlefield.

In my opinion, Lindhardt has the best design of the guys, followed by Ferdinand.

Poor Linhard's going to be really unhappy about being in a Warriors game, though...

Anyway, are there any chances of the Church staff / Knights of Seiros getting updated designs? Them looking the same post-timeskip was a bit disappointing.

I think it's likely people like Catherine and Shamir might have different costumes, but still look the same overall. I won't discount the possibility of them looking different than their Three Houses designs, though.

I expect Seteth and Flayn to look the same for obvious reasons, with maybe Flayn experimenting with a different hairstyle at most.

Hmmm...

So, in the Kingdom trailer, the Lions are fighting just the Empire. Here in the Empire trailer, the Eagles are fighting both the Kingdom and the Alliance.

Are the Deer also going to just be fighting the Empire, or...?

The Deer is just 90 seconds of sitting at the dining table because Claude is throwing a grand feast to bring everyone together.

It’ll likely be like the game and just focus on Imperial troops being the enemy. Like it was for most of the game when it wasn’t Agarthans.

I mean, I certainly wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being mostly Claude vs. TWSITD, and would approve of the route going in that direction, but I feel like without Byleth things might go very differently here...

I think you guys are forgetting certain scenes from the previous trailer.

We've seen what seems to be Rhea flaming Alliance troops.

We also know that there's a scene where Dimitri tries to kill Claude but Hilda saves Claude.

Also the attack on the monastery seems to happens in early levels so most of the game will take place during the midskip.

It's hard to know what happens where though.

Also there seems to be some Hubert threatening Ferdie.

Felix reaching his hand out to Dimitri and wearing Rodrigue's clothes (Rodrigue might have died earlier here and it's Felix that saves Dimitri not Byleth)

Dedue and Felix both reach for Dimitris hands.

But I was thinking of who they tended to fight more than a single chapter in the original game. Considering past the timeskip it’s mainly the empire whereas the Empire fights the Alliance, Church, and Kingdom for several chapters.

Otherwise I’d have also specified the Dukedom soldiers as well which are also blue but are allied with the Empire. Or the minor reinforcement of Alliance Opportunists on the other routes.

Assuming Faerghus sides with the Church by default, I can see those two becoming enemies if Claude decides to fight Rhea. But we don't know what routes any of the cutscene bits are from.

I have a theory about what happens to Rodrigue, but honestly he probably just dies again at some point (since he's in the "dies on every single route" club).

Hi Three Houses thread! I see not very much has changed in two years. I'm going to start a replay soon, looking forward to learning everything all over again. What is Three Hopes? An AU sequel of some kind?
