"Honest? I haven't been keeping up with the series."

Phil's coworker looked a little confused by the reply and shrugged before digging into another forkful of noodles.

"Can you not talk while eating? It's a little disgusting."

Phillip's response trailed off when he noticed the yellow fox-being had followed him all the way to work.

"When-I've-got-the-money-for-subscription-yep! Hey Hal? Good talk, I need to handle a thing. Still on for friday drinks with the crew, yeah?"

He was halfway down the hall before his coworker could actually have a chance to answer.

Lunchtime, Town Hall Hallway

Phil stopped here, where it seemed private enough to speak with the vulpine that had continued to follow him.

"How did you follow me to work?"
"I hid in the vehicle. Am I interrupting something Mr Newton?"
"Norton. And yes, that something is my job. Can we discuss this later?"

The fox nodded and looked expectantly for more instruction.

"Right, go back to the van. Thankfully I've only got one thing to do this afternoon and after that you can tell me all about whatever you want me for okay?"
"Very well Norton Newton. I shall await you at the van vehicle."

Unfortunately Renamon had ninja-leaped out of the window by that point, leaving Phil alone in the hall and distinctly perturbed. He felt just a little thankful that the only job he had to do this afternoon was to drive over to the school and do some admin in the library... That'd be simple, surely?

School Library, a few minutes since school ended

The group's meeting was about to begin. In the back row of the computer lab, one of the old monitors flashed in bright colors. The librarian and any other staff members did not notice it or the distorted noises it was making. They couldn't.

Along with the colorful static, a blurred shadowy figure was suspended within the screen. The noises grew louder. They sounded a bit like a grainy, garbled, staticky cry for help...

I entered the library. I saw John staring at the computer screen for some reason. What on Earth was that nerd doing, I wondered?

On the screen, I saw a mysterious figure shrouded in static. Could this be another Digimon? I opened my backpack and let Marcia escape.

I asked, "Do you know this Digimon, Marsh?"

My talking dog shook her head and sighed, "S-sorry, but I'm drawing a blank, Lune..."

After collecting himself and tuning out the other two people in the room he took a seat and followed his first instincts and duty as a monster hunter, to follow the findings to the truth, and this right here is one of them or so his gut's says. "Hello? Can you hear me? Why are you appearing on this screen? do you need help?" He asked the screen hoping that this communication could be two way.

Being fashionable last as alway, well at least that what she claimed anyway. Lilly finally appeared in the library. She quickly glanced around the room before making her way over to the others. At least they seem to be getting along? Well anyway time to figure out stuff.

Library Afternoon

Phil Norton turned up at the library. This was generally considered a 'bad move' because the moment he stepped in there he noticed a bunch of familiar students sitting around a flashing screen with a spooky blurry figure on it and he knew, he knew that meant things were going weird again...

So he tried to be inconspicuous, walking off to the side to fiddle with a different computer... But he couldn't help taking any moment he could to look over the top of the not-even-switched-on computer he was at to watch the weird one with everyone else.

"Aha, a monster perhaps?"

Phil let out an actually audible 'gah!' and turned around to stare at the fox-being that had sneaked up behind him.

"I thought I told you to stay in the van!"
"It was boring in the van so I thought I'd watch you work..."
"Can you just... Not? Please?"

I was waiting for interaction with my character besides the constant time skips which makes it impossible for him to have any actual characterization.

Drathe - Library

Drathe walked into the library, though he was still quite nervous, seeing as how they all knew he was the one who called the police that night. There was no way to tell what they thought at this point, but all he could hope for is that they don't see him as a bad person for doing so. Even then, he knew some things are inevitable. No good deed goes unpunished. "I hope I wasn't late. I've never really talked to any of you much at all, so..." He basically kept looking quite nervous.

Upon seeing the screen do weird things, I grabbed a chair and attempted to protect myself against the mysterious being behind this. Knowing my luck, it'll be probably be futile.

"To be honest, Lily... I have no idea!"

Meanwhile, Marcia hissed at the mysterious being like a cat. Stop doing that. Dogs are supposed to bark, stupid. To make things worse, that guy who tripped me up and scored the winning goal showed up. What's next? Pouring salted lemon juice into my wounds?

"You're not late", I grumbled. "You can help us with this mess."

Eventually John grabs a heavy, thick textbook and approaches the screen. "Alright whatever your doing, stop it now or else you will be dealt with extreme Prejudice" He said to the screen, hefting up the textbook threateningly, or he hopes it looks threatening.

The hidden figures in the screen simultaneously laughed and screamed, and despite the five's shock and attempts to fight it, the mess of colorful data had flooded up to their ankles, dragging them in...

Things were getting super digitally spooky in here and Phil wasn't sure what to do about it. He glanced at the yellow fox who was looking unconcerned but somewhat confused.

"Huh, well that's new."
"New? You don't know what this is?"

The pixels were flooding the room, and for a moment before falling Phil felt... Betrayed? Renamon was calm throughout it all and he felt that was because the fox was at fault...

"Don't worry, I will be your blade Duck Newton. No matter what happens."
"Oh just shut the f-"

And just like that, the two were pulled under the rising digital tide.

Marcia and I were dragged into the screen. Lord! This day keeps getting worser and worser by the second. What on Earth did I do to warrant this kind of karma?! Kick a dog or something? I'd never do that. Marcia's a good friend for the short time I've known her.

Drathe attempted to grab a table, though this proved to be unsuccessful. "Just what did I get myself into?!" Despite this, he looked a lot more shocked than actually afraid of what lurks beyond. "I don't expect anyone to trust me, but if we at least work together, we should be able to make it out of the mess that is happening..." He said nervously, though clearly he didn't sound very confident at all.

Library: Life changing event

Even though she said to stay calm she wasn’t. In fact she was excited by the voice and shadowy figure. It was something new in her mundane life. She was getting sick of cheerleading practice, homework, school. So she stepped forward as she start fade out of existence.

Once the group was swept away, the library became eerily silent. None of the shelves or desks were moved, but it was empty... The few bystanders there looked confused for a second, but then it was business as usual.

Lilly, Drathe, John, Lune, Phil, Marcia, and Renamon were all floating in a space, surrounded with the colorful pixels. The space was calm, but at the same time, unsettling.

"I don't think we'll be finding Horses here guy, but I do believe we've just discovered the biggest event of cryptid activity, that I know of at least, so, if we survive the experience make sure to grab as much evidence of this place as you can, this discovery is going to be huge!...Assuming it's not written off as a Hoax that is." Said John his tone getting more excited as he figures that this place is perfect evidence of the supernatural, and he clutches the textbook, in case a monster tries to attack them.
