-Misaki tenses up, immediately snapping to attention upon hearing the noise upstairs.-

-Tch, with all of this madness, she... neglected to get her armor out of the attic upstairs.-

-She's currently weaponless and lacking her armor.-

-That's not to say she can't defend herself bare-handed, of course, but still...-

-Misaki makes her way towards the stairs, on guard.-

Card Capital

-She sees the tail end of a familiar trench coat...and a familiar tail, for that matter!-

Last post for today.

Police Station

'Well, there she goes. Hooman, I'm a K-9 in training, not a lawyer or witness. Call Phoenix Wright if you want a lawyer. A good one.' I went back to my bed and wondered what to do. 'Hopefully someone will take this mess and case. I don't know if they got a suspect yet or not. There were security cameras in the room. I'll just have to wait for now.' I then decided to stare at a TV playing.

Card Capital (Misaki)

-Misaki makes her way up the stairs, and...-

-...?!-

-That's...-

"Whisper...?"

-That has to be her... Misaki wouldn't be able to forget that tail even if she tried (Photographic Memory and all).-

-Misaki looks at her with something of an unreadable expression.-

"..."

Card Capital

-Whisper stops and turns-

-She has her mask on and her rifle slung over her shoulder-

"...You're back."

Card Capital (Misaki)

-Whisper may notice that Misaki's hair is actually a good amount shorter than the last time they saw each other, but other than that, she's still the same ol' Misaki.-

-Misaki does a small nod in response to that.-

-Honestly, she is glad to see Whisper again. She missed her friends from the Nexus...-

"...Yeah."

-A lot has happened... but she's back.-

"It's a long story, but..."

-However... That is not the important part.-

-Misaki gets a bit more stern.-

"More importantly, we need to talk. I saw the video footage."

"..."

-Whisper very clearly fakes a yawn and stretch (she didn't even take her mask off!), then heads into the room where her bed is-

-Misaki's eyes narrow a bit.-

"Whisper, I said we need to talk."

-Seriously...? She's trying to evade this.-

"Look, I know that Handsome Jack is up to no good, but you put yourself in danger by attempting that!"

-She can only assume that Spider-Man stopped Whisper, seeing as he was in the video, too... of course, she doesn't have all of the details.-

-After all, there was that footage of Spider-Man punching Handsome Jack... although Misaki still doesn't know all of the details of that, either...-

-...-

-...Maybe she should try calling Peter, later... She never deleted his phone number from her phone, even if she can remember it clearly.-

-...It may be silly to say that she wanted something to remind her of those times, especially considering she has eidetic memory...-

"...Bad person. Hurting my friends."

Card Capital (Misaki)

"I don't doubt that, but your attempt to assassinate him was rash."

-Frankly, Misaki doesn't like the idea of killing anyone.-

"I don't want him to hurt our friends either, but we can't act too hastily and violently. Something could have happened to you and Spider-Man out there."

-Misaki may seem a bit harsh, but once again, she is meaning nothing but concern for Whisper and Peter.-

"I know that you're trained for this type of work, but I need you to be more careful."

Card Capital

"...Told me to lay low. Jack might be after me now."

Card Capital (Misaki)

-Misaki stops, getting quiet for a moment.-

-Yeah, that much is obvious... It's highly likely they're interested in pursuing Jack's 'assassin'...-

"...Both you and Peter have been subjected to this, haven't you? Catching Handsome Jack's attention. The media being turned against you."

-...-

-She doesn't want that. They're her friends. She won't stand by and just pretend her friends aren't in this situation.-

-While she's not entirely prepared to deal with Hyperion, herself, she can do this...-

"...You're always welcome here. You and Peter... And if anyone has a problem, I'll kick them out."

-If they need a place to hide, stay, or otherwise discussion plans...-

-They're welcome in Card Capital.-

-And as Whisper knows, she means that she will kick them out. Literally.-

Card Capital

"Puts you in danger. Just staying here tonight."

Card Capital (Misaki)

"I can defend myself, and I have friends that'll help us out if we need it."

-She doesn't like relying on others, but in the worst case scenario she can ask Sthesia and Cosmic Compiler for assistance.-

-...Leos and Aichi, meanwhile... They're still Zombies...-

-Although... She does sort of remember Aichi talking about something that happened with...-

-...Darn it, that kid Aichi seemed fond of...-

-...Ryusei? Yeah, that was it...-

-...-

-...Having blanks in her memory is extremely weird and unnerving.-

"...I'm not defenseless. I have a special suit upstairs, one I wore a lot before I left, it's easy to conceal under clothing, and it has automated guns. If anything happens, I can deal with it."

-Not only that... As much as she hates to say it...-

"...A card shop would be a good place to hide and regroup with Peter. I doubt Card Capital would catch Hyperion's attention, and if we're careful we can make sure that you're not spotted around here."

Card Capital

"...Don't like that guy. Reminds me of Eggman. He's bad...but wants people to think he's good."

-...Does she mean Handsome Jack?-

-Misaki's expression softens a bit, hearing that.-

-Right... The things Whisper told her about Eggman, as well as the stuff she learned about him...-

"...I know. We're not going to let him win this. We're going to make sure he doesn't hide behind lies like the scum he is. His true colors and intentions, whatever they are, will be revealed."

-Ah, she hasn't stopped using that word, it seems...-

"From the moment I saw that news report, I knew there was something fishy about that guy. About Hyperion. I'm not standing by while these guys take over this City. I want to help fight him however I can, even if it's just giving you shelter."

Card Capital

-She finally takes off her mask-

"...Thank you."

Card Capital (Misaki)

-Misaki smiles a little.-

"Don't mention it. We're friends, aren't we?"

-Misaki's actually been becoming a bit more open over the last year (From her perspective, at least), so her smile is a bit more open.-

-Soft, but still has a bit more to it, rather than being overly stoic.-

"...I'm glad to see you again."

-It's nice seeing some of her friends... as herself.-

-She could have run into Whisper as a Zombie, but thankfully it doesn't seem like that was the case...-

Card Capital

"..."

-Hug-

Card Capital (Misaki)

-Misaki accepts the hug, and returning it.-

-Seeing Whisper again, while a bit stressful due to this whole mess with Handsome Jack and Hyperion... is also something she needed.-

-She really did miss Whisper, and her other friends from the Nexus.-

-She's hasn't been free of her status as a Zombie for long, so she's still adjusting to being back, and trying to contact her friends.-

-So honestly, she's thankful.-

"...Have you had dinner yet? I can get something sorted for you."

-She could probably get a pretty hearty and meaty meal sorted out for Whisper. Carnivore and all.-

Card Capital

-She simply shakes her head "no"-

Card Capital (Misaki)

-So no dinner yet... Well, time for Misaki

"All right, I'll get started on it."

-Time to fix dinner! Let's see... Meat is a necessity...-

-...And Misaki is finding herself craving potstickers.-
