-She stops, grumbling-

This will take forever...

Mall (Dori)

(Dori is in the mall, looking around for her brother, Tsubasa.)

Mall (Tsubasa)

-Oh, up ahead, Dori!-

-You can see Tsubasa looking into the window of one of the shops!-

"Ah..."

-He seems a bit intrigued by whatever's in there.-

-He hasn't noticed you yet, though.-

Mall (Dori)

(Dori decides to stroll up to Tsubasa and tap him lightly on the shoulder.)

Whatcha lookin' at, Tsu?

Mall (Tsubasa)

-Tsubasa actually tenses a little upon feeling the tapping, not having expected it.-

"E-Eh...?"

-He turns and... Oh! Dori!-

"Dori, you startled me...!"

-He gets a sheepish smile about it. After all, he's usually a little better about this, but he found himself kind of lost in thought.-

-Not to mention that he hasn't had the same type of training they used to make certain he was rather hyper-aware of his surroundings in a long time...-

-So while he's still rather perceptive, he's a bit rusty, as well...-

"Oh, I was looking at the models..."

-If you look in the window, you'll see models of mecha of all kinds!-

"I remember seeing them, before... They always reminded me of the Extreme Gundam..."

Mall (Dori)

Hmmm? Oh, they do, don't they?

I guess it's because the models themselves inspired the Extreme Gundam?

Mall (Tsubasa)

-Wait, they did?!-

"Eh, really?"

-He seems a bit surprised!-

Mall (Dori)

Yeah, they did!

"Ehehe... I suppose that makes sense..."

-He looks back at the models with a small smile.-

-Honestly, he remembers the first time he saw a Mobile Suit...-

"...I remember the first time I saw one... It was when I saw Mum for the first time. I was trying to analyze the Extreme Gundam, but my equipment couldn't process the data..."

-Just how much does Dori know about her brother, anyway? They've been together for a few years, but...-

...Wait, you saw the Extreme Gundam? Before Mum and Dad adopted you?

Mall (Tsubasa)

-Tsubasa nods, not looking away from the models.-

"Yeah. I hadn't been at the cabin very long, and a friend of mine told me to keep an eye out for threats. And, well... I didn't know anything about the Extreme Gundam at the time, so I was..."

-He stops, thinking for a second.-

-Well... at the time, he hadn't been able to sort it all out... After all, it was all so surreal and different, and he didn't really have any emotional intelligence at the time...-

"...Wary."

Mall (Dori)

Jeez, that sounds confusing.

Mall (Tsubasa)

-Tsubasa blinks, once again looking over at Dori.-

"Eh? It does...?"

-It's... not confusing to him, at all.-

-Darn it, it always seems like he confuses people... He never means to, and yet it seems to happen so frequently and easily...-

Uhm, I don't mean that it's confusing. It's more, uh... It must be baffling to you now. You had nothing to worry about the Gundam, really?

Mall (Tsubasa)

-Oh...-

-Tsubasa smiles a little again, although he looks a little sheepish.-

"Well... It is a little hard to imagine thinking that the Extreme Gundam is a danger to anyone... I had no way of knowing, back then."

-Honestly, the idea of that is frankly very silly, now.-

-...But... to have done something he can't even imagine doing now...-

"...I might have been a little different, back then... The image of me now, and the image of me then... I'm not sure, but Mum and the others seem to think I've changed..."

-His smile grows a little more natural, and less sheepish as he thinks about that.-

-Does this mean he really is different from back then...?-

-Wow is it midnight already?-

Lua pulls up on her little moped. She has a bag draped over a shoulder, probably full of caffeine-laced sugar drinks to keep her energy up through the night.

Might as well get this over with.

Lua wanders past the empty tables. She catches a glimpse of the inactive animatronics in the corner of her eye and shudders. Down the hallway...
