Last Life Arcade (Leos and Sthesia)

(Good news: because of the way the characters are rated, Leos and Sthesia's units are more expensive than Aichi and Misaki's, therefore meaning that the Cardfighter Couple really only need to shoot one more of the Cosmic Couple's units.)

(Whereas Leos and Sthesia have to possibly take down two more units, so they at least have an option to go on all full assault if necessary.)

(Sthesia decides to use one of her special moves to catch Misaki in a trap, allowing Sthesia to deal some heavy damage with a move that involves impaling her opponent and blasting them at point-blank range, with Leos keeping pressure on Aichi with his attack drones.)

(And both Burst Attack meters are full on both teams' sides! Who will activate theirs, first?)

Last Life Arcade (Aichi) and (Misaki)

-Ouch, that did a number on Misaki's unit... She's still kicking, but she's very low. One more hit will do her in!-

-However, as mentioned, you'll need to take down two more to knock them out of the game. You've got a chance, but they're not giving you an easy target!-

-Misaki decides to create distance between her and Sthesia, instead aiming to take the chance to strike Leos while he's distracted with Aichi. She does her best to take advantage of a brief frame of vulnerability during some of his attacks (She's good at catching things like that, remember?).-

-Assuming that works, Aichi uses that chance Misaki granted him to activate his Burst and follow up off of the opening she provided.-

-So... Leos may have had a heavy barrage of attacks coming his way.-

“Hey, are you okay?”

Park — Peter Parker

A disheveled Peter sits by a lake, his eyes closed.

Park (THE PRESENT OR FUTURE [A.K.A. Not During the Double Date]) (Misaki)

-Misaki is spending some time in the park, relaxing. It's a day off, and she needs the time away from the shop (Yes, she loves the shop, but still).-

-She's been walking around a bit, quiet.-

-...?-

-Hey, is that...?-

"..."

-Misaki approaches Peter, finally speaking up from behind him.-

"Are you all right?"

-He seems a bit... rough.-

Park — Peter Parker

Peter turns his head — his hair is scruffy, his eyes have bags, his face is somewhat more pale. "Oh, you know," he says. "Didn't sleep, allergies, the whole deal."

Park (Present) (Misaki)

-Man, he's worse than he seemed from behind...-

-Misaki sounds serious as she says this, although stoic as usual.-

"...You've been overexerting yourself, haven't you?"

-With the whole thing with Infinite, Dr. Eggman, Ovi...-

-It's extremely important, but if he's running himself ragged, then...-

Park — Peter Parker

"Oh, me? Do that? Never."

He sighs as he looks back towards the water.

Park (Present) (Misaki)

-...-

-Misaki actually steps a bit closer, now standing beside Peter rather than being behind him.-

"...Do you want to talk about it?"

-She's not the best at this sort of thing, but the guy clearly needs someone to talk with.-

"..."

-...And it drives her insane that every single friend she has here (Including her boyfriend for crying out loud!) seems to do this. Pushing themselves to the brink for the sake of others.-

-It's admirable, but... also incredibly infuriating.-

"...I want to help you."

Park — Peter Parker

"It's not — something that can be helped."

Park (Misaki)

-Maybe it's not something she can help with directly, but...-

"...Tell me anyway. There's no use in bottling it up."

-She learned that rather harshly, alongside Aichi. She struggles with letting her own feelings out, but she realizes the importance of people needing to get this stuff out.-

"Even if I can't solve the problem..."

-...She still wants to try.-

Park — Peter Parker

"It's a bunch of weird, eldritch human mutate stuff, and I don't wanna seem more like a weirdo than I already am."

Last Life Arcade (Leos and Sthesia)

(Yep, that caught Leos off guard, enough to switch to Misaki, but he gets one last shot off before he's hit by Aichi's Burst Attack combo! That was super effective, Misaki!)

(Sthesia decides to leave Misaki alone, and try to help Leos by firing a guided attack at Aichi, and if that does connect, she quickly deploys a form of shield around Leos's machine.)

(Neither Leos nor Sthesia have chosen to use their Burst Attacks yet.)

Park (Present) (Misaki)

-Well, it does sound strange, but...-

"...Peter, we're both in an inter-dimensional nexus with countless strange things."

-At this point he could tell her that he's secretly a platypus and she would almost have no reason to disbelieve it.-

"Whatever it is, you're not going to seem weird."

Last Life Arcade (Past) (Aichi) and (Misaki)

-Misaki gets knocked out by that one shot, and that means you have to take down one more unit!-

-Aichi's still fair in terms of health... at least until Sthesia gets her hit in. He's getting lower...!-

-He flinches a little again when it happens, still apparently 'imagining' it very deeply.-

-Misaki, now re-deployed, considers her options. Sthesia's distracted with Aichi now, it seems...-

-The narrator has no idea just how much HP both Leos and Sthesia hypothetically have, so she's stuck assuming that Leos is fairly low and Sthesia's about average.-

-Misaki takes that moment to activate her Burst, and go after Sthesia!-

-Aichi, meanwhile, decides to distance himself from both of them, focusing on going long-ranged and shooting shots at Leos to try to deal with that shield.-

Last Life Arcade (Leos and Sthesia)

(Well, Sthesia's health was fair, until Misaki got her Burst Attack in. In fact, considering that Burst Attacks do anywhere from half to three quarters of one's health, Sthesia is barely hanging on.)

(Leos, noticing this, decides to pull his Burst Attack on Misaki, getting her back to trying to take out Sthesia. However, Aichi does manage to disable the shield, and just when the Burst Attack is nearly finished...)

(AICHI AND MISAKI WIN THE MATCH.)

Last Life Arcade (Past)( (Aichi) and (Misaki)

-That was an intense match for both of them.-

-Heck, Aichi hasn't entirely snapped out of his 'trance' yet, sort of blankly staring at the screen for a couple of extra seconds...-

"That was a good fight."

-Misaki was definitely giving it her all in that fight, and you can tell she had a blast even if she seems as calm as usual.-

-Aichi blinks upon hearing her, and looks towards Misaki... He's starting to come out of it now.-

"...Eh? We won...?"

-He looks back at the screen, and... O-Oh, they won!-

-That snaps him out of it. He looks towards the rest of the group again with a bright smile.-

"That was really fun! It could have gone either way!"

Park — Peter Parker

A few seconds pass, then Peter stands and walks away, looking for people that may be viewing them. "I'm not leaving," he says.

Park (Present) (Misaki)

-...? 'Not leaving'...?-

-What is he...?-

-She stays silent, but...-
