"I'm late for everything I do, anyway," Peter says as he shakes his head. "Bad joke."

Breezy Place (for Box)

Sam is scrolling through pictures on her phone, taking sips from the coffee she just purchased.

Park (for Crystal)

Marwin is enjoying the shade of a large tree, idly sketching what can only be described as an occult circle in the dirt with his staff.

Breezy

A costumed dude swings through the door, landing on his feet — thereafter groaning in pain as he stumbles, planting his hands on the floor before he hits it.

Park (Jean)

-Jean's playing a game on her phone, with rather intense focus.-

"Come on, Ichiro... You can do it...!"

-She's tapping away at it, apparently playing that RPG or whatever she has on her phone. She's got a party of... literally a bunch of versions of the same dude.-

-The blue-haired wonder on the screen hits the enemy, and... Tada! She won!-

"YES...!"

-She can't help but exclaim that, as the battle was a difficult one...-

-Her exclamation MAY have been a little startling or distracting.-

Breezy

Sam glances up when she hears someone enter, her eyes widening when she realizes who it is. She sets her coffee down and rushes over to him, kneeling beside where he fell, "Christ, Peter, are you okay?"

Park

The noise does in fact break his focus, and his staff slips and mars the circle he's drawing. He lets out a put upon sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose, before looking towards the source of the disturbance.

"Excuse me, young miss. Would you mind keeping it down a bit over there."

Breezy

Peter extends his hand and shakes his head, shushing her for a second before stopping, realizing that they would be heard regardless. He sighs and says, "I'm good — no more pain in this line of work than usual."

Park (Jean)

-Jean freezes when she hears that she disrupted someone, and then shrinks.-

"S-Sorry..."

-Ack, she just embarrassed herself and caused this guy some problems and...-

"I'll, uh... be more careful..."

-She sees the circle and is actually very intrigued, but now she's too worried to speak up about it.-

Breezy

"That's not nearly as reassuring as you seem to think it is. Should I call an ambulance?"

Park

He kneels down and begins brushing dirt back over where he marred his sigil, slowly removing the mistake, "It is no problem. Thank you for being amenable."

Breezy

He shakes his head again. "One, secret identity. Two, pretty sure it's just a sprain. Three — pretty sure I'm out of network here."

Park (Jean)

-Jean nods quietly, although she can't help but watch the guy as he's working.-

-She doesn't want to speak up and bother him, but she's too intrigued to just look away entirely.-

Breezy

She sighs and stands up, "Alright, if you say so. Here," she extends a hand to help him up.

Park

Finally covering the marred section up, he stands and starts work on retracing what had originally been there. It takes him a couple minutes to realize Jean is watching him, and a couple more to acknowledge it, "Is there something you wish to say?"

Breezy

Peter takes it, pushing up on the ground, hissing as he tries to keep pressure off the effected leg by leaning to his left. "See? I can even stand."

Park (Jean)

-Jean is a bit taken off guard by him speaking up again, and gets awkward.-

"Oh, I was wondering what you were, uh... doing..."

-She hadn't meant to be rude or anything...-

"I was curious..."

Breezy

She rolls her eyes, "Sure. Let's go with that. Come over and sit down," she gestures towards the table where she was sitting when he showed up.

Park

"Curiosity is no crime, there is nothing to be worried about. I am trying to develop a new portal array. Something about this place has a habit of disrupting the ones I am familiar with."

Breezy

Peter nods, then walks — haltingly — towards the seat, collapsing upon it once he reaches it. "Today was a fun time babysitting, lemme tell you..."

Park (Jean)

-So he's working on figuring out a portal?-

"I hope it'll work out for you! With luck you'll get back home..."

-She's still not entirely certain she's ever going to get back home... and she knows that James is working hard to try to figure out a way back, but Jean's growing less and less sure that the effort is going to go anywhere...-

Breezy

She takes a seat across from him, pulling her coffee over to her side of the table, "Babysitting?"

Park

"Oh, it is unlikely to, if my past experiments have proven anything. But thank you for your kind words."

Park (Jean)

"No problem. I know the feeling."

-Oh man, does Jean empathize with that.-

"I've got a... friend, that wants to find a way out of this place for us, but I keep trying to tell him that I'm not sure it's possible."

-She feels bad about it, honestly. She's glad that he's got hope about it, but the fact of the matter is that this place doesn't let people go easily.-

"It's something you have to wait out, it seems like."

Breezy

"Venom."

Park

"We all got here in the first place. It stands to reason that there is some way back."

Breezy

She sighs, "Yeah, of course. He's here, then?"

Breezy

"He's been here, and I've been keeping an eye on him. I just — said something he didn't like," Peter says as he shifts his weight onto the back of the seat.

Park (Jean)

-That's true, but...-

"I've heard people mostly just appear and disappear with no rhyme or reason."

-She's not really sure HOW to get back other than waiting for the place to get bored of her and send her back home.-

-...Oh man, she's going to have to deal with the fact that she's been missing for months...-

-Her family has to be worried sick (Although there's a part of her that says her mom and Sarah wouldn't miss her much at all), Mia's probably extremely worried...-

-...She wonders if anyone's searching for her. James saw her disappear, and was still worried about her even after she had disappeared, but what about other people...? Did they give up...?-

-...-

-...Just stop, Jean...-
