"...They were the ones that showed that footage. I don't know why they would have something like that or why they'd show it, but I know it wasn't you."

"...They're wary of me."

"Eh? Wary of you...?"

...Yeah, they've apparently been harassing Misaki for some reason.

My family was never one for Thanksgiving tradition... Old world sensibilities and all of that. But occasionally... Mother would take me for dinner at a restaurant. We would usually have Chinese...

Card Capital (Aichi) and (Misaki)

-Well, Aichi wasn't expecting that.-

"What?!"

-Protective boyfriend mode: activated!-

"What did they do?"

-He asks that rather seriously, a more determined and willed side of him that isn't seen often... at least not by Leos and Sthesia as of late.-

-Misaki closes her eyes for a moment, naturally still feeling rather drained and lightheaded.-

"...I housed Spider-Man and Whisper, and they're aware of it. I won't accept that they're criminals, but Hyperion seems... intent to make sure things are difficult... for those that don't go along with them..."

-What she's saying... is that she helped her friends, and she's being punished for it...?-

"..."

-...Uh... guys. Aichi's gone kind of quiet. And his bangs are covered.-

"...They've deployed more Loaders to watch Card Capital... There haven't been customers in a while..."

-Aichi is aware of the lack of business... he was trying to be optimistic about it, saying that everybody would surely show up and it'd be packed like it used to be...-

-...But there's something more active keeping customers away.-

-And Aichi is still eerily silent.-

-...Guys, he might actually be angry.-

Geez, really? That's a bit petty, isn't it?

...Aichi, are you okay?

Card Capital (Aichi) and (Misaki)

-Misaki sighs.-

"...People like that don't care. They'll do whatever they can to assure they're on top..."

-She hates it.-

-She then looks towards Aichi, realizing that he's... definitely not taking it that well.-

-Eyes are still obscured, and the hands he had resting on his knees while sitting next to Misaki are... shaking.-

"...It's horrible..."

-Misaki's expression softens a bit, looking a little worried even while sick.-

"...Aichi..."

-However, Aichi continues.-

"...They hurt you... They hurt our friends... They're hurting you, and everyone else because you're helping our friends... They're hurting Card Capital... They're hurting Vanguard..."

-You can hear it in his quiet, and yet serious tone. Shaky with emotion.-

-Cue him raising his head again, and you can see in his eyes that this entire thing is offensive to him.-

"It's unforgivable!"

-All of these things they're attacking... They're precious bonds, friendships, connections, relationships...-

-For you to try to torture people for those relationships... It makes him sick.-

-...Guys, have you ever seen Aichi this angry about something like this?-

Hey, Misaki, if you want, I could see about maybe asking the Commander if we can keep an eye on the shop.

Aichi, it's okay, we already know Hyperion is bad.

Card Capital (Aichi) and (Misaki)

-But... should Cosmic Compiler really be wasting the resources here...?-

"...Cosmic Compiler is busy dealing with Hyperion already, right...? It would be inconvenient."

-Aichi, meanwhile...-

"Leos, Sthesia, please do what you can to help Misaki!"

"Aichi..."

-...Apparently Aichi wants for them to help Misaki anyway.-

"I can't let them keep doing this. For them to hurt you like this... I refuse to do nothing! If we can do something to make sure you're safe, then I... then I..."

-Aichi stops, trying to figure out just what he wants to say.-

-However, upon doing so, he quiets down a bit. He still looks greatly concerned.-

-He can't help but think a bit more as his own mixed up feelings get hard to sort through...-

"...But... you're right... Cosmic Compiler might not be able to. With how they must already be looking into Hyperion, we can't expect them to send members to watch over Card Capital..."

-But... he doesn't want to leave Misaki alone, either.-

-What can they do...?-

-Aichi finds himself bringing his hand up to his watch, absentmindedly.-

-If they can't then...-

-He starts finding himself thinking back to something he considered a while back... something he wasn't sure of whether he should ask...-

"...Leos, Sthesia... Please train me! Let me support Cosmic Compiler!"

"What...?! Aichi, what are you...?!"

-Misaki's wide-eyed, definitely more alert after Aichi asking that.-

"Aichi, stop... Don't force yourself..."

-Aichi looks to Misaki with a small, soft smile.-

"I'm not forcing myself... I've been thinking about this for a long time, and... this moment made me realize that I need... no, want to step forward."

-It's not forcing himself. He wants to do this... not only for her, but for himself and others, as well.-

-He looks back at Leos and Sthesia again, growing more firm with his expression once more.-

"It's been over a year since we went home. Even though we were far away from the Nexus... I found myself thinking about everything I experienced. All of the fun, the laughter, the friendship... All of the tears, screaming, and pain..."

-...-

"...But... even though it's behind us, I realized... I want to fight for everyone. These abilities of mine... This power I have... I know that I was given these powers to be a weapon, but I'm not a weapon. I'm me. I'm Aichi Sendou, a cardfighter... I have PSY Qualia, and I'm a Cyber-Newtype. All of these things are me. Even if I was afraid of them for so long, I want to be the best I can be, for the sake of the people I cherish!"

-Guys, just listen to the passion. His heart is so clearly present in his words. Earnesty, awareness...-

-...Maturity...?-

"...I know that it won't be easy, and I know it's not a safe road. But... if it means that I can help everyone, then I will fight alongside you."

-If the rest of Cosmic Compiler can't be there for Misaki, Aichi wants to be. They can 'dispatch' him to watch over Misaki, and he can send them updates on Hyperion's activity in the area all while making sure Misaki's safe.-

(Leos and Sthesia look at each other, clearly worried, but they find themselves... smiling?)

Maybe we could ask the Commander about getting you trained...?
