Watch the next part start with a cold open of the school being destroyed.
Like, that's 100% what I expect.
One Strip! One Strip! Then twenty chapters of wholesome high-school antics amidst the rubble.
What's precedent ever done for us?Y'all mad: it's gonna be twenty chapters of wholesome antics, then the school gets demolished and everyone inside dies.
Fujimoto, if nothing else, ain't an amateur, he knows how to find that hole inside, and making it bigger.
....shit. That's a good point.
One Strip! One Strip!Wanna ask something, what are your thoughts on Makima in general? Is she a Base-Breaking Character in your opinion? And do you know a meme surrounding her about several guys simping for her to the point they want to become her lapdog to be dominated at the end? I heard about that meme on Facebook recently, so I just decided to ask that out of curiosity.
To be stepped on is something that must be made whithin the boundaries of sanity, safety and consent, and I'm pretty sure Makima breaks all three, so no thanks.
As for Makima herself, she's a fantastic villain: despite her crushing power her characterization as an abuser makes her surprisingly grounded and all the more chilling because of it. And I like how her obsession leads to her ultimate defeat in a way that is both ludicrous and yet completely in line with the setting's rules.
But she's hot and a lady so obviously people must leather pants the shit out of her.
If I blew a fuse every time that happened, though, I would've driven myself into a stress-induced heart attack years ago, so eh.
I preferred Makima when she was an unknown entity than the control devil. I didn't feel that the reveal was as good as the mysteries that came before. I didn't lik many parts of the "final" arc to be honest, though now that we know that not to be true, I'm waiting to see how things unfold with her as Nayuta.
Cowboys vs SamuraiSo, has the new stuff started yet?
Oh God! Natural light! The second part? No, not yet. No announcement either. Fujimoto pretty much has that Ron Swanson "I can do what I want" permit.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.As a manga artist, convincing Shueisha to let you take a break is the ultimate power move.
What's precedent ever done for us?After the dude had a lesbian orgy as a chapter cover in a presumed kids' magazine I'm pretty sure he has blackmail material on some higher ups.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Second popularity poll is out.
Top 10:
1. Aki
2. Makima
3. Power
4. Denji
5. Reze
6. Yoshida
7. Angel
8. Himeno
9. Pochita
10. Kobeni
Yoshida placing in the top 10 again, despite doing nearly nothing but stand around and look pretty, is something I find incredibly bemusing. Kobeni's Car at least had the novelty and meme factor. Like, I wonder if Fujimoto was trying to prove a point to someone that this is all it takes.
It has to be the giant tentacles. Everyone loves giant tentacles.
i. hear. a. sound.I forgot who that was.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Wow. Doesn't he only appear in, like, 1 chapter or something?
Glad to see Reze is not forgotten.
He also has memes about how he looks like the kind of guy who beats his wife IIRC.
I need a new sig. Also on the poll: kid Makima and dinner!Makima. Also Agni from Fire Punch for some reason.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Also, Kobeniβs car and Powerβs breast pads.
CM dropped. Looks good.
Secret SignatureIt's been mentioned by Sakugabooru peps that this trailer is probably pre animated, and that seems to check out since this is obviously animated by shingo (he did the two Jujutsu Kaisen ops, styles match) but he's not mentioned in the main staff list:
Original work: Tatsuki Fujimoto (Shueisha Jump Comics)
Director: Ryu Nakayama (First show he directed)
Screenplay: Hiroshi Seko (AOT, JJK and more)
Character Design Kazutaka Sugiyama (Mushoku Tensei)
Action Director Tatsuya Yoshihara
Chief Director: Masato Nakazono
Demon Design: Kiyotaka Oshiyama
Art Director: Yusuke Takeda
Color Design: Naomi Nakano
Screen Design: Yohei Miyahara
Music: kensuke Ushio
Animation Producer: Keisuke Seshimo
Regardless, it has been stated that chainsawman is a high priority MAPPA product, so it'll probably come out looking great even though there's no way it'll look exactly like this the whole way through. The animators will probably have hell but that's MAPPA's M.O.
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysHey they not toning down the gore at least.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."
I expect the school to survive, at least for a while, if only because everyone expects it to get demolished.
I need a new sig.
