So this chapter has lot of uh. Interesting stuff. Yeah interesting is right word

Like its kinda disturbing realization that Makima literally was unable to recognize people except by smell even at this point past everything else. Denji is probably not most responsible guardian but I can see logic of giving him to raise the control devil somewhat. Kinda wondering why she popped back on earth instead of hell, but then again kinda hard to tell why Makima technically died to being eaten anyway.

But yeah, most hilarious thing about this besides Denji's high school debut is that all the chainsawman wanted was literally a hug x'D That is kinda like taking joke about freudian excuses to logical extreme even if chainsaw man is confusing in that if he was ever malevolent or what the it was

Makima probably got spawncamped, Darkness seemed to have it out for her.

Denji killed Makima in the exact same way he killed Power - or in the same way that Power sacrificed herself for him, anyway. Incorporate enough of your essence into another being, and you die. As for Nayuta, she was presumably reborn in hell and then came to Earth in the same way as any other devil.

Well, that's quite an ending. Interesting that Control is apparently reborn as a presumably-innocent human child. Makima looked human, but that might've just been her. Nice callback to Makima biting Denji's finger.

Stoked for part two. All thing considered this was kind of a nice ending ignoring how 95% of the named cast bit the dust. More suffering incoming in the future. Gotta say, I didn't expect Kishibe the walking death flag to be the one to survive.

I don’t know about Kishibe, but one thing I know is that Kobeni will survive through the apocalypse just to be the last human on earth to suffer.

I still expect Kobeni to get a new car to save the world with.

Alright we know what the 2nd arc is gonna be about, Denji's going to school.

Man thats a major Heartwarming in Hindsight. One of the first major things Denji does with his newfound freedom is to go to school like he always wanted, which also fulfills Reze's own dream of wanting to do to school.

Honestly, a school is a great place to have a bunch of easily disposable characters.

Reminds me of Komi-san in an entirely unrelated way. Switching the entire cast up was simple there, if not quite as successful.
