News about the next version update, and it's a bigger one than the previous

• The Kaleidoscape will release on December 27
• Primal Dragon trials begin with Primal Middy on December 24
• All of the Advanced Dragon Trial, Agito, and the standard difficulty of the Sinister Dominion quests will be changed to have reduced stamina costs and so that you can use skip tickets on them
• Suggested teams will now also show shared skills along with everything else

Awesome! And double awesome about the QOL changes to the endgame stuff, especially since I'm slowly working up the nerve to fight the Agito modes.

I wonder if we'll get a Dragalia Digest later in the month teasing early 2022 stuff. Though having said that, I almost hope there won't be any new collabs because my wyrmite stash is dangerously stretch thin.

Speaking of wyrmite stash, I never did get around to updating you guys on what I did manage to pull up until now. (Unless you've been following the DL Discord.)

During the Gala Zethia banner, I actually managed to pull Bahamut and Beast Volk (more than a few times actually, I'm talking twice in a row in one tenfold!) and was deadly close to having to spark Gala Zethia, but then I ended up pulling her after 275 total summons. I pulled Yukata Lathna, Laranoa, and Lapis before finally scoring Regina in her banner. On the Wind Focus and Gala banner, I managed to pull Basileus, Maribelle, Wedding Aoi, and Gala Alex for absolutely free! And on the Halloween banner I pulled Volk again (I think I had enough to MUB him, so I did just that), Halloween Laxi, and Summer Cait Sith in one tenfold, and on the free hundredfold, I was able to pull the Halloween variants for Odetta, Lowen, Melsa, Althemia, and Akasha while everything else was dupes.

I already mentioned pulling DY Nevin on Gatov's banner and DY Ilia on the last day of her banner, so there you go. (Also worth mentioning, on a whim, I used my very few sunlight stones to MUB Bahamut and level him up to MAX. Really worth it because he's now the second most powerful shadow dragon in my game while Arsene is first-most powerful.)

Welp, looks like we've got some hardware issues on their way, and I'm not talking about phones or tablets or stuff like that.

As we all know, Primal Midgardsormr (Midgardsormr Zero) will be an opponent in the very near future - Christmas Eve 2021, if what I'm reading is correct. The parts you get for besting him will be used for making Wind-element Primal weapons (you must have the corresponding Wind-element High Dragon weapon to make a Primal weapon, but given how long the game's been out and how power-crept the High Dragons are, everyone should have one of those already unless they started within the past few months). They're 6* weapons and their skill inflicts damage, boosts the user's strength and provide a heretofore unknown "Primal Dragalia" effect that bypasses Nihility.

My big question is whether or not the Primal weapons will power-creep the Agito weapons we've all built up these past couple years. At least we can still use Volk's weapons to bring Mids down for now and, if the order of dragon release is the same as before, Kai Yan's weapons can help with Primal Jupiter.

Also, Nihility is back as a field effect. Joy.

Seems like the Primal weapons would be ideal for AI adventurers to wield, if to boost their DPS even a tiny amount. Not surprised that Nihility is in the Primal Dragon fights, but it's a shame all the same :/

Kaleidoscope is fun

Celestial Showdown, the next New Year's raid event is almost upon us! Here's a preview!

Whoa, Tsukuyomi finally makes an appearance! All the other characters look great too. Can't wait to try to summon them.

Yeah, Kaleidoscape could be its own game. It's great that it emphasizes the dungeon crawling aspects that were prominent at the start. The treasure trade for the mode is great too. Two omnicite and one adamantine brick per month feels like a bonus when the mode is fun enough to play through. RNG feels pretty harsh though, and if you don't have a dispel or multi-hit skill at hand you could easily run into a run ender.

If I didn’t have a powerful weapon with a dispel attached I wouldn’t have beat Ciella.

Clearly designed in mind for us to beat most of Kaleidoscope and upgrade Fafnir before ever facing the final enemy.

Event update!

The coliseum event Fortune's Fray is coming back on January 13th and the Princess Connect Re:Dive collab event is coming back on January 21st!

We got a long wait to the next Primal Dragon fight. More time to build up the wind weapons, at least. Looks like they'll release the primal fights in the same order as they did with the High Dragon trials, so we'll have a bit to wait until we can Mega Man our way through the fights :x

The Princess Connect event re-run is great news. I hope we'll see additional Priconne characters down the line.

Also looking forward to the Alberian royal family event they're teasing :)

Oh shoot! What if the re-run is to prepare for a sequel collab event? Like when they re-ran the first Fire Emblem collab event to prepare us for the second one?

Ooh, and if we get more Priconne girls, then I really want to see Yui, Rei, and/or Makoto.

...Oh.

Hopefully by the time PriBrun is out I'll have been able to figure out how to survive Mids's "Instant Death Melsa." Right now the only idea I have is "Bring Draconic Resurrection."

Shadow Melsa is considered an avoidable attack, so you evade he with skills or roll through her.

Well, yeah, she can be Iframed, but that means little considering how small the play area is when she appears thanks to the wind field effect.

Has anyone been as unfortunate as me in Kaleidoscope and got the floor where you have a room filled entirely with Healers?

Quite a few times. And yes, it's super irritating if you don't have a handy means of burst damage. It's a real shame if I encounter one of those rooms as a staff character OTL

God that sucks. I was lucky I was using gun all four times.

So, there's a Remix coming Thursday, and it's purely Light-based. Probably to fatten us up for Aether?

• Light/Dragon: Thor (if you spark for him, I am legally obligated to cringe; Energy is still grounded via Nihility)
• Light/Blade: Gala Luca (if it's not Iblis, I'd use him without regret; Omnicite is worth the best Light crit damage in the game)
• Light/Staff: Kimono Notte (traded the dagger to become Vixel 2.0, or so I hear; Light Damage boost may be worth the butterflies; also Kimono Hotte has a Zena-esque hazard field)

What do you guys think?

I think I jolted upright at the sight of Kimono Notte's art.

You know it's rather aggravating that Thor's considered among the worst because there's something insanely awesome about a giant winged man-lion punching his enemies like anyone from the JoJo family tree. Plus, that thing where you tap the screen like crazy to amp him up? Insanely cool concept on paper. Seriously Cygames, buff my man-lion-dragon!

With Kimono Notte being non-limited and the other featureds being kneecapped in endgame this upcoming remix is an easy skip for me. Probably just as well, since Valentine's is not too far away :x

Really do wish Thor and Cait Sith would get buffed. It's a shame since they have cool designs and animations and they're barely worth anything if you want to take on Sinister Dominion or TotM :(

I decided I'd just try to get Mitsuhide again, but luck was not on my side.

We have no clue what's happening for V-Day, right? (Really hope I can give some valentine treats to Ilia and Notte now that they're playable.)

A new invasion event, The Blood That Binds, is coming soon!

Fiends are attacking a village, but this is no random bout. They're coordinated and precise. The Alberian family investigate the matter and the fiends' leader is someone most unexpected. You won't get it out of me, but suffice to say, the scions of Alberius find their mettle being tested harder than ever!

Coming January 30th and lasting until February 14th!

(But really, who else is calling shenanigans on Alberius being a bad guy? I'm betting this is Loki.)
