I think you just misinterpreted my post. Let me clarify.
The insiders believe most of the DLC lineup debuted before 2014. Not that the DLC chars were all done in 2014

Oh man. All the people Mewtwo controls have been, in some canon or another, mind controlled themselves.
Claus as the Masked Man by Porky's brain washing, Ken in the Street Fighter 2 movie by Dictator, Cloud by Sephiroth every 5 minutes, Richter by Shaft, Pit by ???, iunno enough about that game, and I'm not completely sure about Pikachu.
It's like every piece of single player content is an event match.

For Pit, he's technically controlled by either gods during flight. Pikachu has been controlled plenty of times in the anime.

If that's the case than I'm not so sure about some of those characters. Ryu you can chalk up to the Satsui no Hadou but I can't think of anything for Ness.
