Imply? He has been mentioned indirectly several times, and in Arrow Season 6, Oliver outright namedropped Bruce Wayne.

I'm so excited for this! I didn't expect this sort of news until after the crossover, if at all. That's an encouraging sign, showing that the network wants to use her of their own accord.

Bruce Wayne may exist, but does Batman? Perhaps Joe Chill got Barryed out of existence.

It's implied he exists in Supergirl's world as well I believe.

I read a theory recently that the Arrowverse Bruce has already been exposed as Batman, leaving a void for Kate to fill. It explains why Oliver mentioned him that one time.

I should probably catch up on Arrow. How was the most recent season, anyway? I kinda lost access to my tv, but when I left off I was annoyed at the team getting framed again and being divided again, so I haven't watched it even when I had the opportunity.

Many people hated it. Me myself, I thought it was ok. It sure had it's flaws, but it was still leagues beyond 3 and 4.

Off course, 5 set a pretty high standart.

This is interesting. As long as it doesn't end up being like Gotham, basically a "we want to make Batman, but we don't want it to look like Batman even though it's blatantly Batman with another protag series." Granted, there's also the issue that Arrow is also blatantly a Batman series, just with a Batman who kills.

Making it about Batwoman hopefully means some fun stuff with The Colony, a la her Rebirth concepts. They could even just adapt the Rebirth Batman stories, but with Batwoman as the protagonist, tbh: she's just as much a protag to those stories as Bruce is. Arguably more, even (the basic story is her and Tim Drake).

And either way I'd be down for it because it could finally mean Ulysses Hadrian Armstrong getting an adaptation (though going by Damian Darkh's example, they could ruin it by adapting him as an old man), though admittedly seeing him without Tim would be a little disappointing.

It had a problem similar to Season 4, where a large part of the middle of the season feels like its just buying time until they can get to the finale and the Team can't beat the Big Bad.

There are some good episodes in there, but there's a bunch of junk too.

So it's set on Earth-38. I guess it kinda makes sense considering the usual dynamic.

I was going by Kara meeting her, not seeing how Kate could be doing any universe jumping.

Well, if she will inherit some of the scientific genius parts of Batman, she might as well have created a dimensional portal or something.

I wouldn't mind either, I'd love for Supergirl's Earth to get a bit more attention.

Batwoman's supposed to be in the crossover, so most likely she'll be located on whichever Earth said crossover is set, and if that's Earth-1, she could easily meet Kara while she's visiting to deal with the latest crossover crisis.

If you mean that moment in the trailer, that's not new footage. Kate hasn't been cast yet and probably won't be until about September.

So, who do you think will play Kate?

Yeah the masks quote from Kara isn’t new footage of her running into Batwoman, it’s old footage from Supergirl.

All of my initial top choices either don't fit the stated casting requirements or would be otherwise unavailable, so I have no idea. I think someone like Adrianne Palicki, my #1 reasonable pick for TV, would be an excellent choice, but she's older than they want, isn't a lesbian, and is likely committed to The Orville.

Casting a lead is hard.
