Yonagi stealing the Araya method, as she should. Slice-of-life chapters with those three are gonna be a doozy.

Hmm… we can safely apply the Adorably Precocious Child trope to Satsuki, right?

For sure. I think I'm really gonna enjoy this character.
On another note, Kei's roles on that title page all have different colored eyes. Not sure if symbolism or just to look cool.
I don’t really see any obvious symbolism, except maybe Princess Iron Fan’s red eyes (rage and all that)…
Anyway, in this chap Satsuki has her first (admiration) crush, and her reaction is worth it.
What a delightful chapter. I knew I was going to like Satsuki's character exploration.
And Kei's costar is crushing on her, take a shot.
Not so much symbolism for the specific colors so much as highlighting that they're all different people.
"I'll teach you so I can copy you" is certainly a novel approach.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Hey, it's important to make sure you're learning from the best. Even if you have to teach them to be the best first.
So uh, the author got arrested for hit-and-run groping teenagers. Probably it for this manga.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Unless the artist takes over the story. Which she might not want to do.
It’s all the more depressing that this is a rare shonen series with a female protagonist that is neither sexualized nor focused on romance.

Also, the context now makes it rather uncomfortable that Kei's a teenage girl with no real support structure who gets headhunted by an older guy.
Yeah, I commented on how it felt that in a more realistic scenario Kei would be extremely vulnerable to being taken advantage of, and now...
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.The manga has been officially canceled, according to this Shueisha press release:
The editorial department takes this situation very seriously, and after confirming the matter and discussing it with Shiro Usazaki Sensei, the artist for the series, we have come to the conclusion that it is impossible to continue with its serialization. The chapter that is in combined issue 36/37 of Weekly Shonen Jump will be the final chapter.
It is extremely unfortunate to have to end a series that has received so much support from so many readers in this way. However, this decision was made because of the nature of the incident, and because Weekly Shonen Jump recognizes the weight of its social responsibility.
We offer our deepest regrets and apologies to our readers. This is a difficult time for Usazaki Sensei, but the editorial department offers Usazaki Sensei our support and encouragement for future works.
Information about graphic novel volumes and related publications and events will be announced as they are decided.

The artist has edited her twitter feed to remove all mentions of Act-Age. She no longer even references herself as a specific series' artist.
I feel so bad for her and this guy's victims. At least this is one sex creep Shueisha didn't sweep under the rug.
What a massive shame.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Goddang this is just an Old Shame for her now.
What a fucking shame & I was just about to buy the first volume.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Anyone remember that old meme, "My disappointment is immeasurable, and my day has been ruined?"
Suddenly it seems very appropriate.
And this is just as we were entering the main part of the arc and into Satsuki’s issues with her mom… alas there isn’t much I can say about chapter 123 now, knowing that there won’t be a next one. =[
I don’t get it. The guy had genuine talent and a growing success, why would he just throw it all out the window like that?
Because he wanted to touch some underage titties & thought he could get away with it.
Simple as that. Thats how these "people" think.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Yeah he just got high on a power trip, as evidenced by his broadcasting his intentions in the author's corner.
I'm kind of numb at this point, what a waste of a good series, I didn't think anything would make me feel as bad as finding out an author had died when the plot was ramping up
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysWait, what was that about the author's corner?
Dunno, in this week’s issue he talks about having tea in Starbucks…
One of his author comments was about how happy he was with his bikes since it allowed him to socially distance while doing his hobbies I think?
Secret SignatureIn one of the previous author's corners he talks about using his bike to enjoy his "hobbies" while socially distancing.
Searching for meaning in meanings
I'd say that a good portion of the Princess Iron Fan arc was dick-waving as much as just general spirited shonen competition. Then again, they're not mutually exclusive.
Speaking of, have I mentioned how much I liked that that arc had Kei's extreme method acting actually come with a drawback? I like her a lot as a protagonist, but it felt that her extreme talent just carried the day too often beforehand, and seeing Kuroyama and Chiyoko (and Araya, but he was barely in the arc really) actually win the Technician Versus Performer contest was refreshing.
