Because at the end of the day, Jump Force has DBZ, Naruto, Bleach, & One Piece as video game. So I would get involve in a thread because I like those franchises. And who says I'm defending my reasons? I'm just explaining & venting out
And I could explain my reasons for my disdain towards Hunter × Hunter, but that would be more provocative than what I'm already doing
Check out the character select screen for Jump Force plus battle intros from the PAX West build
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Still weird how Aizen's not in the demo despite being announced months ago.
I had no idea Wong like Jump.
Maybe they're still working on him?
Can I just be honest here? As a Death Note fan, I can’t see Light as the main villain. He’s way outta his comfort zone against this guys. Granted, yes, I am not very familiar with the other anime, but I’m fairly certain that most of them can just easily kill Light. I mean case and point, Freiza.
I dunno, that’s one of the issues I have with the game, it’s nice that Light is in it, but if they are gonna make him the main villain, it’s a double edge sword to me; you risk the chance of making everyone else dumber just to make Light look smarter or you ruin his character by alleging himself with the most obvious of villains.
Light may not be the Big Bad, but he can certainly manipulative which I'm more than certain will be brought up more than once.
Plus he’s got the Death Note.
As long as he can maintain a reasonable distance for his own safety he essentially has an instantaneous gun pointed to all their heads.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."The safe distance for some of those characters is measured in astronomical units...
Whilst yes, I’m certain the Death Note will be used, I don’t think they’d actually kill a character off.
I mean, it wouldn’t work on Frieza since he’s a alien and well over the age span limit of the Note. Not to mention, wouldn’t people find it suspicious of how he’s not running in terror like any other civilian?
It’s just I’m sure he’s very intelligent and manipulative, but he knows very little of these characters. That goes back to my other concern of making him TOO intelligent to the point of making everyone else look like imbeciles; it all depends on how Light is written.
I mean sure outsmarting Nautro I can see light doing, but not everyone.

Thing is most of these characters aren’t smart at all.
Frieza for one is just a sadistic spoiled brat who only got to where he is because of his immense natural power, not through any actual ruling & Sasuke's a mentally unhinged emo prick who has been manipulated before.
It’s a consequence of being shonen characters, their all very simple for the most part which is why Death Note is an anomaly in Jump due to how different it is.
The villains with the most intelligence for the most part is Aizen, Hisoka, & Blackbeard & one’s insanely arrogant, one’s is a massive blood Knight, & the other’s a coward.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Oh. Well, thank you for the clarification, I admit I’m not fully familiar with the characters outside of Death Note. Seriously, thanks.
And yeah..that’s kinda why I’m iffy. For me, Light and the Death Note works best in his own universe , in his own anime, not a crossover full with cartoony looking superpowered beefcakes.
Like I’d be fine if he was used by another surprise villain like Cell or something.

I seriously doubt he's the true big bad anyways
Light's best strategy would be to keep away from his enemies and use the death note in secret without letting them know he is their enemy. Which is his usual tactic.
I have a message from another time...Okay yeah, being in the shadows that’s fine but how would he gather information on them? It’s not like he’s against Near and L and as far as we know, he has no connections to help him; Ryuk certainly wouldn’t willingly tell him. I dunno, I just don’t think he works here.
I know we’ll have to wait and see but still.
I'm pretty sure Light & Death Note is mostly there for publicity then anything else.
I dunno, the makers have said Light and Ryuk are important to the story.
“This game is going to feature a story around this unique situation, and that's where Death Note comes into play. To kind of weave the story together. So, Death Note is not [going to have] a fighting game character."

Yea, but that still goes with my statement. Although, I'm starting to realize it can interpret as something negative now.
Something along the lines of Pandering to the Fanbase which I don't think it's a bad thing either.
Oh I see.
Okay this just got a million times more incredible.
I also forget their from a Jump series.

"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."FINALLY, for some reason I had a gut feeling Konami would block him from coming. Good think he's in this time.
YES!!! FUCKING YES!!! Now Seto Kaiba's probably more likely for the second Yu-Gi-Oh! character, but I'm still hoping for my man Joey Wheeler!
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.
@agent-trunks: If you really hate the anime community so much, why do you want to have anything to do with this? And defending your immature reasons isn’t an excuse for shitty behavior.
And you never answered me on why you hate Hunter X Hunter.
Just curious, is all.
