A supposedly official cast list has been making the rounds.

The two stand out things are Ghost's real name: Ava and Elihas Starr, better known as Egghead.

I have no ideas as to Egghead's role in all of this but a leak on 4chan yesterday also gave Ghost the name Ava as in Ava Foster, Bill Foster's daughter. That same leak claimed that Bill Foster, as Goliath, would become a villain opposed to both Scott and Hope and Ava and that Hope (fuck) and Hank get dusted while Scott and Janet stick around. I personally don't want Hope to die so I hope at least that part is fake. The name "Ava" is also associated with Ava Ayala, the White Tiger, but I feel like that might be a bit of a stretch personally.

Of course all this might still be fake so this is just speculation based on the likely true cast list.

We need two different threads on the same movie?

It's hardly the first movie with more than one.

I've heard other leaks claiming that while most of that is right there is no surprise dusting at the end of the movie. Instead it ends as seemingly a self contained story, with the stinger being a scene from Avengers 4 like the Civil War clip in Antman 1.

I tend to believe this theory. I just can't see them hijacking this movies ending for a completely different one, especialyl when this is supposed to be a breather after IW.

In fact it would literally just be a replay of IW's ending, with the non dusted heroes standing there in shock.

I can't really see them doing that.

[up] Just saw the movie and uhhhh....

Anyways, I liked it. Probably not my favorite MCU movie, but a solid addition to the franchise nonetheless.

It'll be interesting to see what sort of abilities Janet now has. Stabilizing Ghost is likely just the tip of a very large, and very weird, iceberg. They'll have to sort out her dust problem first, but that's inevitable.

...I'm hoping they call the 3rd movie in the franchise Ant-Men and The Wasps.

Also, sidenote, I'm starting to think that undoing the dusting will actually happen reasonably early in Avengers 4 (like before the halfway mark), and the main conflict of the movie will actually be about fixing the problems that are caused by undoing the snap. Maybe the fabric of reality just can't handle being rewritten twice in such a short span of time.

A question- whose daughter is Ghost, Egghead's or Bill Foster's? Somehow both?

The trope page seems to indicate both.

[up] In a way they both are.

Egghead is her actual father (who unless there was an aside comment I missed, is never actually called that in the movie), Bill Foster is her adopted father.

I'm not sure if Bill Foster ever legally adopted her, but that's very much how their relationship is framed.

Burning in a trash can where it belongs.cool

Just finished this. T'was a fun romp where everyone ended up happier and no one suddenly... DAMMIT THANOS!!!!

But the trick Janet pulled where she entered Scott's mind (and similarly, where he seemed to actually go back in time and end up in her head) might be how they unsnappify the universe in Avengers 4. At the very least, Scott might be there long enough to pick up a few of the tricks Janet got when she was there.

Yeah. I know. Mostly force of habit.

So, are we all a little annoyed that Hope is gonna miss out on Avengers 4 now? I would have loved to see her in action alongside the others.

If they really do time travel, they could totally bypass Hope being Snapped if they want to.

Hasn’t a version of the Wasp confirmed for Avengers 4? Then again, that could be what they intend for Future Cassie.

That was a fun movie. A lot lighter than Infinity War. Save the one black market dealer, it’s a film about people wanting to do bad things for good reasons, and that helps make everyone very sympathetic.

Also Luis was great. We need more Latinos in the MCU but he was hilarious.

So does anyone know that Scott is currently in the quantum realm? I was thinking maybe Bill Foster and/or Ghost since he was recovering the quantum-thingy for her healing anyways, but who knows. Scott's rescuer is yet another question mark we need to add for Avengers 4.

I'm sure Ava and Bill know, and if they surivived the Snap, they'll be able to help, as they know/understand Hank's tech.

[up]Yeah, they wouldn't let Ava and Bill escape like that if they weren't going to be used in Infinity Crusade or whatever it's gonna be called.

[up]x3 Scott will probably just go into a time vortex and find himself in the plot of Avengers 4.

Man, between this introducing the idea of Time Travel and all the other craziness of the Quantum Realm, and all the crazy stuff Captain Marvel is liable to introduce us to, Avengers 4 is about to be nuts!

Saw the movie, loved the movie. Saw the stinger coming, but it was still good. I've gotta ask though, why is everyone so convinced Scott is trapped in the Quantum Realm forever if no one gets him out? He already escaped once, I assumed that he'd keep one of those growth things on him just to be safe.

I actually watched (well listened) to a video that brought up that same point. I kinda face palmed when I remembered that too.

It's especially notable because the entire plot of this movie is built upon the fact that Scott came back. That being said, him returning was a lucky break (being able to hold on to himself, then using the remaining growth disc to come back), and since he assumed there's be people on the other side watching him, he might not have brought one, thinking he didn't need it.

We can't know for sure though.
