The primary goal of war is victory. Honor and glory is nice and all, and ultimately there are certain rules that soldiers try not to cross, but I'm sure we can all agree its the victors who write history. I can safely say that any self-respecting general would probably value pragmatism above all else. After all a good enemy is a dead enemy.

The topic for this thread here is, combat pragmatism. Feel free to share anything from dirty(practical) tricks, general tactics, or even real life experiences. Ideas that have not been proven are welcome as well, but please provide some sort of theory behind it.

Preferably we'll limit our content to the subject of war, but of course there are many branches of war. Anything from psychological warfare, chemical warfare, magical warfare, or even physical combat are more than welcome to be discussed.

Your input is heavily appreciated and welcomed.

For other related contents please go to Combat Pragmatism/Real Life or Sun Tzu. Fortunately, these resources are all available on TV Tropes.
