I don't see why it matters. It's too early to be pitting them against each other and even when it comes out if both are good that's good for everyone. Even if one is better than the other we all still win because as people who like cartoons that still gives us at least one good show to watch.
Y'know, it's quite possible that TOH gets blown through in the winter, while Amphibia once again east up a month of Summer...which turns them into complements.
Also they seem different enough in premises, and the aesthetic is definitely worlds apart...and the current voices are miles different [for now, I'm guessing "King" will sound a lot like Grunkle Stan despite being such a small creature.]
I just noticed the thumbnails for the shorts both spoil the punchline.
Yes, those are very poorly-chosen thumbnails.
Its to get clicks mainly, they know people are more likely to click on the thumpnail with a spoiler as its more intriguing
New theme music also a box"Shouldn't we cover this up?"
No short this week, it seems.
I think they were just for September.
Wild Amphibia!

You say tomato....
Fred Tatasciore definitely hams it up as Soggy Joe.
Sounds like Actor! River from a certain show that shall be not be named, but referenced where necessary.

Please come to Soggy Joe's ballet recital.
Watched the whole season! It was wonderful, and I'm having trouble pointing out one specific thing that was great. Constant Black Comedy? Clear aesops that had fun lampshades but didn't forget their own point? Interesting characters? Surprisingly compelling villains? Seriously, just all around awesome.
When's season two coming out?

It looks like "Contagi-Anne" is being pulled off the schedule in light of the Corona Virus. Given the subject matter of sickness, it's not unreasonable.

It's chibi time.
The shorts were written by Dan Siegel and directed by Trey Buongiorno.

Awesome-sauce! Somehow even better than those Teen Girl in Frog World shorts.
Went through the whole first season. Great show. Seems like a lot of Disney's shows these days are trying to recapture the magic of Gravity Falls, and this one does a damn good job.
After watching the season, Marcy's character interests me, mostly because we know jack about her.
One of the only things we know for sure is that she's the one who found the music box, which could mean she knew more about it than the other two - especially since Sasha and Anne are lifelong friends and Marcy apparently is a lot newer to their group.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. Here's another chibi short.
The Owl House will be the one that'll have to make a strong impression.
Wake me up at your own risk.
