It's funny, you can almost guess some stuff from all of this.
New season out tomorrow! Remember, per this post, we're going to try to only do one episode per day. And put the episode title at the top of your post to be safe.
One a DAY? That's a bit much, especially for adults.
Optimism is a duty.We can discuss that. The most important part is probably putting the title at the top of your post as a spoiler warning.
Thankfully they've already decided that they wouldn't release the entire season in one go, so even if someone spoils prematurly, it won't be the end of the season or something.
One a day, well that's a change.
They did? I thought they were dropping all seven episodes at once.
You think all Netflix shows are eventually going to start doing this or just She-Ra?
Yeah but that's half a season.
Its just seven? That's going to be a quick season.
Optimism is a duty.Season 2, episode 1!
"I can relate. I too have buttons."
"oh no, there is actually quite a lot of pressure. Did I not make that clear?"
Light Hope really is the best worst best mom
Frosta has really gotten into this rebellion thing
Entrapta's citizens must be really glad to get rid of all her stuff
The Catra and Shadow Weaver scene is my favorite part because of how much Catra's struggling to hide despite ostensibly having the upper hand against her disgraced parental figure.
welp someone's finally figured out what's happened to Entrapta. Bow trying to emulate Entrapta was cute for about five seconds until the CRUSHING GUILT kicked in.
THE FROZEN FOREST
What happened to Frosta? Yeah, by the time she has a talk with Glimmer it makes more sense but the change is still very jarring. Would be nice if someone commented on that. Still, it's a cute change.
Without Entrapta and Sea Hawk, the alliance doesn't really feel that big. Of course this is caused by Spinerella and Netossa still being sidelined.
Did Perfuma got outfit change? I guess her dress wasn't exactly fit for battle.
Still loving Entrapta going "I want that!" like a kid in toy store.
Nice to see Hordak, but at some point I will have ask what he has that makes him the leader other than common sense and intimidating presence.
Random thought A, now that Entrapta is on the team and we know that Scorpia is a princess, this anti-princess propaganda from early episodes feels oddly out of place.
Random thought B, from behind Catra's ears look like devil horns.
Wow, was that ending a fast Mood Whiplash.
I can't see the episodes yet, so I'll be a bit delayed. Hopefully it won't take too long.
Optimism is a duty.We do find out what makes Hordak the leader this season. Loads and loads of fancy offworld technology.
What's precedent ever done for us?Please don't post spoilers for episodes past the first one right now. We're trying a new thing where we enforce one episode every other day so that people can discuss the episodes. Posting later spoilers scares people off.
Ah, sorry, missed that.
What's precedent ever done for us?Haha, I really like this first episode. Re-setting the stage and bringing up old wounds.
Frosta's 180 seems jarring at first but it's both justified and pretty important since otherwise her and Mermista might be too similar.
But the best dialogue was between Angella and Casta. My god the sass levels there could cut steel.
Well, cant blame him much. We don't have much traffic so far. Anyway, onto episode two!
TIES THAT BIND
Hah, see, cause Catra is tied up! How clever.
Admittedly with season short enough to count as movie with serious lack of focus, episode about Catra being terrible while heroes drag her around feels a bit like a waste but I guess story about team saving Entrapta was bound to be "Shaggy Dog" Story anyway.
I sure hope there will be another war room scene in this season. I want to see Swift Wind's chair.
Apparently connection with Swift Wind is super important, despite that Adora made him by pure accident. Sure hope that lizard she empowered wasn't important too.
Ok, now they're just fishing for Bronies with these pony versions of characters.
Ah man, Scorpia thinking about putting posters, now that I want to see. "Lost catgirl, answers to Catra, she might bites, last seen in Fright Zone, please help, we all really miss her, possible reward."
Catra telling Kyle to take Entrapta out. Wow, I didn't think that Catra was a shipper. Actually forget the posters, I'd love to see Kyle misunderstanding her and having awkward date with Entrapta. I better see some fan art soon.
Even with context, I have hard time decoding these emojis. Frosta and Perfuma fight robot, princess something, something, Bow traps Catra, Swift Wind and Adora do some magic that heals the building. So I guess next is Entrapta episode? I see science and some spooky stuff.
So what's the best way to watch the show?
I like to keep my audience riveted. At your own pace, I guess. Think Avatar or Beast Wars, there is ongoing story, but episodes are fine on their own, even when one leads to another.

Ties that Bind
For some reason I was under the impression that the two plots would intersect at some point but nope. Adora restoring the Watchtower does make me think Entrapta's going to make a play for it eventually
Poor poor Kyle
At times Glimmer and Bow's hearing distance from Catra's comm felt oddly arbitrary for the plot but maybe that was just because of the scene transitions between Entrapta and everyone else
Swift Wind is a good horse trying to do his best
Feels odd that Adora got over most of the problems with her sword morph in the time between last episode and this
on the other hand, it's good they didn't drag out the Entrapta being alive kerfuffle too much
Bow's and Glimmer's realization that Entrapta is willingly working with the Horde killed me instantly.

Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself.
She talked big in front of her boss, and she knows she has to get results. So she has to keep talking like that, or else she's going to doubt herself, and she'll get even worse off. It will be interesting to see if she goes down the Shadow Weaver path as failures keep piling on.
