Bit of an Aerith and Bob thing going on with Kyle and rest of the cast, by the way.

Well, Adora is a real name, though a bit on the rare side. Lonnie too; it's reasonably common, though less so for girls.

Dutch has a variant on Lonnie as well (Lonneke, which is the same diminutive form, and exclusively for girls). Never heard of Adora, though.

"All episodes April 26"

To be followed by another year of hiatus.

I don't really get these bingewatching schedules. They are almost as bad as those irregular ones you get more and more of these days.

Cool poster, though.

Netflix is about binge-watching, it's logical that they'd base release schedules around that.

Maybe we shouldn't discuss them all at once on the same day? Give everyone here a chance to watch it at their own pace.

I would LOVE to be able to discuss the new episodes at a staggered pace, as opposed to having a bunch of people post episode 13 stuff on day one and everyone else having to stay away from the thread until they finish the entire season, then having to read like ten pages all at once.

We could agree to only talk about episodes 1 and 2 on release day and talk about episodes 3 and 4 the next day, and so on. Do we want to do this?

I really don't think that's a viable way to talk about new content in this thread.

Theoretically you could have everyone tag exact episode spoilers, but that's not super reliable.

People are going to get spoilers by mistake.

I know Reddit has single episode discussion threads, and the She Ra reddit community was quite small IIRC last I checked, so that could be an alternative for some maybe?

We can just discuss one episode at a time for a few days.

I would be okay with that. One episode per day and all that.

I've never understood the decision to focus on bingewatching. I kind of miss shows building hype episode by episode and being able to discuss the latest developments with fans.

The exact origin of bingewatching is complicated, but Netflix in particular ended up with a reputation of "I was looking for something to watch, found this random show from years ago, and watched it for ten hours straight."

This is why I liked how DC Universe handled season three of Young Justice by releasing three episodes a week. It still satisfied that bingewatching urge while spreading the season out throughout the month.

I assume that for Netflix-produced shows, they can ill-afford to release everything with one episode a week or something because that could come across as forcing people to subscribe longer than they want to finish the show...

Or something, idfk

I personally like a mixture, because for instance, when I or someone else is busy with classes.

Keeping up with weekly episodes, its easy to fall behind when you hit a busy week.

Whereas with a 10 episode season dropping at once, its east to watch the whole thing in a weekend, even if you have some other stuff on.

Since you can go 1-2-3-4-ect, rather than watching an episode and then deciding what to do next.

I'm in favor of limiting the thread to one episode per day (or even one episode every two days), but I have no idea how we'd enforce that.

We could put episode title with big letters on top of each post. If someone isn't doing that, then you know can skip their post. So you write like this:

PRINCESS PROM

Man, Catra really need to finally read Force Captain Orientation.

That's an excellent idea. I will also do reviews of each episode like every few days, so that should help space it out.

I wholeheartedly support this. Discussing Episode 1 on day 1 and Episode 2 the next day and so on, I think it's better for everyone.

Season 2 is 13 episodes, right?

That's correct. They also said they had 52 episodes planned (with the possibility of more), but I don't think the last 26 have been confirmed. Just some basic story-boarding.

There's some reporting that Sony's He-Man movie may finally be moving out of Development Hell. This still means we aren't going to see him in She-Ra's show any time soon.

I started a thread for the movie over in the live action film forum.
