In EP 6 (System Failure) we see a greenish goblin -like humanoid shouting out of a manhole, "They're coming! Get out of the square!".
Makes me wonder. Since Dryl looks more like a mining & tech-science colony than a 'traditional' kingdom, and we don't see a whole lot of people in the fortress itself; is there in fact a whole world of underground people in Etheria; and Dryl is the one most connected with them? A whole kingdom of subterraneans?
In the original cartoon series Dryl was just an Etherium mine that was enslaved by Hordak, then liberated by the Great Rebellion. They could expand the canon and the lore for the reboot here, since they already turned Dryl into a kingdom and Entrapta into its princess.
Just WMG while waiting for season 2, but yeah.

Huh? I don't remember seeing anything about Dryl?
Optimism is a duty.Entrapta's castle / fortress is referred to as Dryl by Entrapta herself. But is that the whole kingdom? Just an isolated mountain fortess full of traps and robots? There's gotta be more than that.
... and in the 1985 cartoon it was an industrial town. https://he-man.fandom.com/wiki/Dryl
Season 2 coming April 26th. Wow. Did not expect it that soon.
Dreamworks probably had all 26 episodes ordered at once and just divided them up into two pieces.
I thought it was already approved for four seasons?
Is it me, or does Adora look shorter and stockier in that picture?

Optimism is a duty.Four seasons that are how long? Because Voltron started out as 3 26 episode seasons, but then the first season got cut up into two 13 episodes seasons, the second season got cut up into FOUR six or seven episode seasons, and then the third season got cut up into two more 13 episode seasons.
Four 13 episode seasons. 52 eps altogether.
Doctor Who — Long Way Around: https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13536044/1/Doctor-Who-Long-Way-AroundTwo orders of 26. One less than VLD, which is good, and probably an option to extend which if the lack of a toyline is any indication, won’t be taken up on.
Still, less stress on the writers. You get to make one complete story without fear of cancellation.
I'm not sure that is always a good thing, though. The possibility of cancellation does keep the pressure up on writing quality episodes. Being guaranteed several seasons can lead to more filler and lazier writing.
So far, so good, though.
Optimism is a duty.So far, so good, though.
I don't really see any reason to believe this is true, I'm fairly certain the possibility of cancellation is not good for the quality of writing. When you're uncertain how long the show will be able to last then you're forced to rush things and that kind of uncertainty really hurts planning.
Look at The Legends of Korra, a major reason behind the show's plot issues was that its future was in-doubt several times throughout its run. If the writers had been given a more generous schedule I feel confident that it would've had fewer problems. Not to mention that filler happens because an adaption doesn't have any more official material to adapt, that's not really the fault of a set schedule.
Both logic and past examples make me suspect that you're mistaken about this, having a concrete schedule is not something that should negatively effect quality.

"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnSeason 2 hyyyyype.
Bleye knows Sabers.Oh yes, I am super excited
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnHurray! More She-Ra! More Catra! More "They're obviously in love just say it already"! I can't wait. :D
Though seriously, it had better stop being implicit and become more explicit. I don't mind that they aren't immediately deploying the romantic angle but if they take too long then it will begin to resemble queer baiting and no-one wants that.
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnI demand Careless Whisper to play on every scene in which Adora and Catra are together to set the mood.
If Catra was a dude, how long would it be expected to go on, before his or Adora's feelings are made explicit?
I second this motion!
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnThere’s either a redemption or a final battle. And since we know a certain bonehead isn’t showing up, how Catra handles the whole Hordak vice commander bit will set the tone of regretful adversary or possible redemption.
> I second this motion!
they should play You Sexy Thing (I Believe in Miracles) by Hot Chocolate
New theme music also a boxTo be fair, plenty of shows tease heterosexual relationships until the last minute, too. It's this perception that relationships are not interesting enough beyond actually dating someone.
I can't really get hyped when it's still three months away, honestly.
Optimism is a duty.Noelle Stevenson comments on the upcoming Season 2:

So what I get from this interview is... That Noelle Stevenson really likes the word exciting. o3o

I think that's all on Shadow Weaver in this series though, no? Hordak doesn't seem to have involved himself at all in raising Adora. Hell, I don't even think he involves himself in the day-to-day affairs of his empire. He's just doing his thing and letting his underlings do their own things until they do something stupid.
