What's there to take from their interactions? It's not like Catra was getting really close into Entrapta's personal space and whispering sweet nothings into her ear. *
Glimmeradora also has some traction of course. To the relief of many who are tired of BFF's always going no homo.

Agreed, if Bow turned out to be trans that'd be rather cool but right now there just isn't any particularly strong evidence to support the idea. Considering how LGBT friendly She-Ra is I wouldn't be surprised if he was trans but it's more than possible that he's not.
"Sandwiches are probably easier to fix than the actual problems" -HylarnI'd say Entrapta is no-ship. Or rather, into robots. She's already with Emily.
Yeah, I think Entrapta is exclusively robosexual.
Optimism is a duty.Hey, finished the series last night!
Pretty solid. The heroes are tons of fun, especially Bow and Glimmer, and I'm surprised how much fun I had with Scorpia but jiminy cricket, for a cat girl, Catra's really b*tchy getting under people's skin and using mind games for her own gain (pretty sure she gets it from Shadow Weaver). Her name might as well be "Trolltra". (Or maybe "Trolla"?)
As for Entrapta's recruitment into the Horde, it hinges on a massive lie (from Catra). All it'd take is photographic evidence of that statue the Rebellion made in her honor to make her contemplate "why would the Rebellion build a statue of me if I didn't fit in? Have I been...lied to?"
Entrapta is definitely going to catch on, sooner or later, to the fact that the Rebellion didn't willingly leave her behind and were devastated by her loss. It should be very interesting to see what she does with that information...

Or you could say that she is... catty? Eh? Eh?
Speaking of rather on the nose Meaningful Names, I highly doubt Entrapta has done a Face–Heel Turn at all. She just likes doing science, no matter who it is for. I don't think she quite grasps the idea of someone using her for evil, which is why it is so easy to, well, entrap her into working for the Horde.
I wouldn't be surprised if she's back with the heroes soon in season 2, after a stern talk about not working for the enemy and being a bit more responsible.
And now that Shadow Weaver is out of the running, perhaps Scorpia will take her place as user of the Black Garnet? It IS hers, after all.
Optimism is a duty.Entrapta said people usually get mad at her. Catra didn't get mad - she was impressed. Not a lie.
"You wouldn't have to pretend to be something you're not with the Horde" said Catra. Not a lie, at least not in Entrapta's case.
The Horde technology gives her so much more cool stuff to play with. I totally understand the appeal.
Entrapta is my absolute favorite character in this series so far.

I agree, she is one of my favorites, too.
Optimism is a duty. Can't be Trolla, because that's where Orko is from.
The prom episode made it pretty clear Entrapta doesn't have a firm grasp of the war situation at all. She just likes tinkering with whatever's in front of her.
I'm not sure she has a firm grasp of how First Ones tech, including the gems, relate to actual people, or to the war in general, or of the consequences of tampering with them. She's completely divorced from reality.
Optimism is a duty.Yeah, she mostly seems to treat technology as a series of interesting intellectual challenges and measures situations she is in by how many such challenges they provide her, but doesn't seem to be all that aware of what any given person does outside of matters that relate to tech and access thereof. Like, I feel she thinks of the Horde mostly as "people with lots of tech to tinker with who are willing to listen to me talk about it for hours", which to her is obviously a good thing, and it just doesn't really seem to occur to her to look into what they're using the tech for.
Regarding trans inclusion, here's a hot take: Shadow Weaver. That voice. Virtuoso with the Black Garnet. That mask and what's underneath - perhaps a transition that did not turn out well?
That voice is female. It's just deep. Also we know who Shadow Weaver used to be.

Yes, I know (Lorraine Troussant). That hot take of mine was also about the transition being metaphorical, not just literal. The actor doesn't necessarily have to match the character in full, if their voice and performance fits the purpose.

I severely doubt "Our trans character is horribly disfigured because of it" is a direction they'll be going in. I mean seriously.
Shadow Weaver got burned (Metaphorically. Maybe literally.) because she wanted power above all else. Simple as that.
Yeah, that would be MORE than a little unfortunate... I don't think they'd go for that, either.
What happened to her is still a mystery, though if I have to guess, it has something to do with the Black Garnet. Perhaps there is a drawback to using a magical item you are not naturally attuned to.
Optimism is a duty.I hope Entrapta feels a little guilty about helping almost destroy the world, maybe try to make amends when she finds out her friends didn't mean to abandon her.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult. That's assuming she even thought of them as friends. She only knew them for, what, a week before she got captured and joined the Horde? And even then, we didn't see her interacting with them all that much. To her, they might as well be a bunch of fuckers she only interacts with when it's convenient.
And it's probally part of why the Princess Alliance broke so easily too. Not too hard to break up in the face of tragedy when said alliance is only five minutes old.
There is an interesting moment there in the last episode. We see Entrapta working on the Black Garnet as it's drawing power from the other runetones. She has a somewhat concerned expression, perhaps a moment of "what have I done" realization. But then she puts on her expressionless "For Science!" facemask and carries on.
We don't actually get see much of what's happening to "the whole planet". Crazy weather with red lightning bolts, and Whispering Woods freezes over and ends in ruins. What about elsewhere on Etheria? Do millions die, or nobody actually dies from it? It's left a bit unclear. Maybe the phenomena are mainly concentrated around and between the Black Garnet and the Bright Moon runestone (whatever it's called) and in other places there's just a sap in power level and some dramatic thunder rolls.
Entrapta said "people usually get mad", so maybe, among other things, she ended up seeing the Alliance as just another group of people getting mad at her when she just wants to experiment and tinker.
I wonder if she'll build a more humanoid shaped robot army for the Horde, similar to the robotic Horde Troopers in the original. In addition to those spherical battle droids.
—- on another note...
If there's going to be a second season, I'm curious if they'll introduce Octavia to pose some serious challenge to Mermista; and what Octavia's redesign might look like. The original Octavia has some similarities to the Inklings in Splatoon, at least that black ink mask around the eyes. I'm imagining mashing those two designs together. Could look interesting.

They ordered 52 episodes divied up into 4 13 episode seasons from the start. Unless the first season bombed, we should be getting the rest of them.

Octavia could in fact be an opposite equivalent to Entrapta. Another one with prehensile (tentacle) hair, who switches sides. Otavia would start with the Horde, but then she'd be like, "your military industrial complex is polluting the ocean, and I live there, yo" and join the Alliance.
Didn't we see a bit of Octavia already? She was in the flashback episode where young Catra takes out her eye and she chases her and Adora, and in another episode in a crowdshot next to Grizzlor.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).
I heard people talking about Catdora, as if the true endgame isn't Catrapta.
