With the current state of the DCCU, I'd rather wait.
-looks at the dumpster fire that is DCU-
yeah,no to Ivy going near that fire, don't want plant lady to going up in flames
New theme music also a boxWasn't expecting to see the Music Meister.
It's really funny that the Music Meister shows up in a show also starring the Deidrich Bader Batman, that's a nice coincidence.
Bats even gets to sing this time.
We even get jokes about Bruce craving nachos. Though that was a reference to The Batman.
This definitely is supposed to be a Poison Ivy season. I feel like it's an attempt to acknowledge the complaint that since Harley x Ivy became a thing, she kind of became less of her own things and most of her stories these days focus on her being Harley's love interest.
Side note, when they were showing dead villains I wish someone would say "I think I'll miss you most of all, Scarecrow".
Last year she had a lot of focus, but only as part of the Love Triangle. The focus was on Harley's character agency with the Joker or Darkseid arcs. So it seems fair that she gets to shine now.
Yeah, it's long been a thing ever since Harley's switch to being more of a protagonist-type in Batman media that Ivy basically becomes a Harley supporting character and rarely has much agency and exposure outside of Harley's character or adventures.
Which is a really shame, since Ivy is an interesting character in her own right.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I am reminded that when Ivy's new current comic started, there was a bit of outrage to the fact Harley once again appears in it and is a central piece of Ivy's motivations.
There are Ivy fans who are genuinely sick of Harley's omnipresent involvement with the character.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."In other word, they want to shoo out the clown?
New theme music also a boxSo, in a very funny twist, Joker becomes mayor, and dismantles the police, leaving Gordon out of a job. Pretty funny way to end that subplot.
This episode is really making me dig the Joker as a loving step-father. It's... bizarre just how well it works.
... Gotham citizens are idiots aren't they?
Real life feelings toward police notwithstanding, the cops and Gordon of this series are shown to be fairly incompetent and corrupt. So he may have a bit of a point.
Heck, pretty much all of the Gotham police no matter the incarnation tend to be stupid and/or corrupt.
It's been 3000 years…Gordon is usually the exception, but this series shows us a Gordon who's gone well past the breaking point, and is a shadow of his usual self.
One Strip! One Strip!you know I think I don't like how this series turns so many of the iconic batman characters into losers and idiots that just serve to get mocked or killed off.
Well it is a parody so everything's gotta be a pisstake I guess
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."Yeah.
And recall that, even while taking a pisstake on Bane, he still beat the shit out of Batman.
Just because the series treats them like jokes....doesn't mean they are jokes.
It's just that this series doesn't take anyone seriously.
One Strip! One Strip!Bane is awesome, he's goofy but still badass but I hated how they killed off the penguin and the scarecrow, looked like total chumps just to make villains that are too overexposed look cool at their expense.
And I don't feel it's right to say it treats no one seriously ever, Harley and her group clearly do have some development and the series does seem to want you to root for them.

Scarecrow is a pretty bad case of that since they made him Joker's subservient lackey.
Which is so unlike Scarecrow who at least sees himself as a rival to Joker.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."I'm still not in on the two face of this show at all. I'm not even sure he's flipped a coin ever.
Yeah Two-Face is pretty much just a generic gangster/corrupt authority figure, he has none of the anti-villain or complex traits he's known for.
I think Mr. Freeze was the only villain treated well, even if he did die it was a noble sacrifice where he managed to save the life of his beloved wife.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."And even then, they were trying to do a misdirect about rewriting him as an obsessive creep before revealing he was truly sympathetic.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).
Now if only we could have the Ivy and Harley transfer into the live action movies that would be great
