There's a moment in the Fleischer "Rudolph" that got a big laugh at the Rifftrax presentation. Santa sits on Rudolph's bed, hugs him, and says "I need you tonight."

Oddly I remember that special much more than Rudolph or frosty.

A shame it doesn't get more exposure, since it follows the original book way more closely than any other version, even the designs resemble the book illustrations. This was essentially how Rudolph was originally to be conceived.

The only big issue I had with it is that the voice acting, while not awful itself, sounds like it was recorded in an amateur basement. I don't remember Fleischer's other cartoons having this problem.

That's because this was done long after the Fleischer brothers had been forced out of their studio.
