BOTW has minigames? *is still forever lost*
The Protomen enhanced my life.Hrm. I dunno if it's Switch Mario games or just Mario games in general, but like with Mario/Rabbids I can't play this for more than an hour straight without starting to feel a little nauseous with a headache. I can't recall Mario Kart doing that on SNES or 3DS, and don't have MK for Switch at the moment.
Doesn't help that I keep dying for stupid reasons which makes me go back to the beginning of the level, leaving less time per session to actually beat a level.

All your safe space are belong to TrumpI got that note, btw. The good old "bitch about a part of a game to somehow make me more competent at my next attempt" strat is as consistent as ever.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?I made it to the Pokio segment of Culmina Crater. How far did I get before I failed on the first jump and died horribly?
EDIT: nevermind, saw a video to see I was close to the end, tried again, and beat it on my next go ^^

The Protomen enhanced my life. Are the moons in the mushroom kingdom shop infinite "cheat" moons for grinders, or is there a fuck ton of them? I just bought like 22.
That main story ends strong. I prefer the 3D World and Land encounters, but this Bowser boss fight is at least a hell of a lot better than the Galaxy ones. Fuck that, though, i mean, boy that final sequence is the greatest thing in the whole universe. Everything about it, from realizing what the game wants you to do, and the thrill of actually controlling Bowser, to that level's goddamn 8-bit segment, is just the best.
This was a good video game that was fun to play. All the levels were fun to explore and play around in, as Mario games tend to be. Cappy shenanigans make for ludicrous sequence-breaking potential, and I love that the game's levels facilitate that. I need to let my thoughts stew, before I like rank it, but I'm at least sure that I enjoyed it even more than the 3D games.
Also, this may seem like a small note, but the overhaul to the life system is game-changing. Taking a small coin penalty to immediately restart again should be the name of the game for every subsequent Mario game, ever.

"Curry killed the pussy hoping that I could kill the hate in you" - Curry, D. "TABOO | TA13OO." TA13OO, PH, 2018you can buy unlimited moons, but they're only for buffing out your moon total, they don't count towards completion except the first one you buy from each kingdom
"Have a good day. Have a good week. Have a good month. Have a good year. Have a good life." ~CiviaI fucking wasted money then. I could have saved up for the stupid goddamn skeleton outfit that's just a skeleton, which is awesome.

"Curry killed the pussy hoping that I could kill the hate in you" - Curry, D. "TABOO | TA13OO." TA13OO, PH, 2018I too thought there was a Moon registration for getting ten Moons in one place. Foolish me.
The Luncheon Kingdom's sound effects and general mood are so relaxing ^_^
The Protomen enhanced my life.I love that the background track for Luncheon has the bubble goop sound in it.
I feel like most songs in the game are like that (incorporating sounds into them) but the bubble goops stick out the most to me.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaGot every moon. Did everything except get a few costumes, which aren't worth grinding for. Guess that means I'm done with Odyssey. Was a great ride, but all good things must come to an end.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.I'd seriously consider doing the coin grind in Bowser's Kingdom when I'm out traveling from place to place.
Where is it?
The Protomen enhanced my life.I'm guessing it's the challenge area where you use those speed flowers to run across several platforms? You get about 200 coins for each pass.
You get access by taking one of those giant seeds past a few spinies.

We are all made of star stuff. Very, very weird star stuff.Okay so I kind of hated the Koopa races before, but now I actually kind of love them?
Figuring out ways to beat the AI racers and optimize movement is surprisingly fun and rewarding.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? The Koopa races are actually pretty good. They demand solid movement and usage of your moveset, but not perfect input, and you can watch the racers for hints on various tricks.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.Yeah I look for the fastest Koopa and copy his tricks hahaha.
Even with the moped trick, I still can't master Jump Rope Genius, as it's a pain in the ass to set up (the jump ropers always ask me to get the moped out of the way to start the game again).
That was my problem with the moped too — It took quite a few tries to get into the rhythm of getting in there in the first place. Orienting yourself to be as dead-center as possible, and especially facing one of the rope-holders as dead on as possible is the key — the moped's collision box seems to be much longer than it is wide, more so than it looks like it should be.
I managed to get that Moon. It helps to time your jumps with the women's chanting.

I'm really hating the second part of the Luncheon Kingdom, working up the mountain after the moon fragments section, particularly the narrow path hanging over the lava where you have to dodge rolling peppers. Enough to make me want to test if the joycons are made of Nintendium by throwing them at something that I really should be careful around.
[edit] Apparently I just needed a few hours of rest. Birdie put back in his cage (figuratively), on to the next stop. Where that dragon keeps kicking my ass :( I know what's needed to defeat him, but implementation is the trick.

All your safe space are belong to TrumpWhat helps there is if your throws come up short to shake the Joy-Cons so Cappy can get extra distance. I found getting the angles right fairly difficult.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I took the shortcut up the soup mountain. Much better than traversing through as a lava ball. Found that the bird's vomit attack climb was the most challenging part, especially the third phase where the camera really screws up your jumps.
The Lord of Lightning isn't too difficult if you can avoid the electric wheels and shock waves. It took me a bit of time to discover you could jump on his nose afterward.
Getting used to shaking the joycons (which I have separated from the holder I was using for other games) for extra effects is still an issue for me, since it's not been an issue for me before getting my Switch. (Previous Nintendo home console was SNES, and never found much need for worrying about the 3DS gyroscope thingy.)
Wait... shortcut?

I think the smartest thing Nintendo did with Breath of the Wild was not hide anything of note behind most of the minigames. Volleyball wasn't too bad using Cappy, but that should not be more tense than the hardest challenge in the game.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.
