I've seen many posts, including other Trope pages, confuse this trope(overcoming a corruption) with Heroic Resolve(pushing past physical limits). And small wonder, considering "willpower" and "resolve" are borderline synonyms. I think a rename is in order.
EDIT: Ah shoot, messed up the article link and can't edit it.
