Whilst Hypocritical Fandom does not allow examples on its own page, I’m not certain it should be allowed to be listed on YMMV pages.

YMMV is supposed to be for recording audience reactions to a work, but this trope appears to be about reacting to the audience itself rather than the work.

The trope is essentially calling real-life people hypocrites, in spite of the fact that Hypocrite is listed on No Real Life Examples Please.

I'm also not seeing how Hypocritical Fandom is any different from Fandumb which doesn't allow examples and is listed as Flame Bait.

I think we need more evidence than this - which is all theoretical - of a problem with offpage examples.
