Woof, this thread needs a wake up...
Studio Trigger, in collaboration with GoodSmile Company, is cooking up an expo dedicated to Hiroyuki Imaishi and the animes he directed over the years.
And it's not limited to the Trigger stuff (Kill La Kill, Space Patrol Luluco, Sex and Violence with Machspeed, Promare), but also his works from Production I.G. (Dead Leaves) and even his Gainax stuff (Gurren Lagann and Panty & Stocking)!
The shebang kicks off on May 29th until June 27th!
What's really curious is that the copyright details for Gurren Lagann is under "Ⓒ Kazuki Nakashima, Hiroyuki Imaishi, Project "Gurren Lagann"" and there's no similar copyright thing for Panty & Stocking. And there's zero mention of Gainax, the studio those two anime were produced under. Did Imaishi reclaim them in light of Gainax's reshuffling from 2020? I wonder...
EDIT:
Unfortunately, PSG is still in a weird state of copyright limbo with Gainax since March 2021. That said, PSG co-director Masahiko Otsuka went on the record saying that he still wants to do more with it.
