Tropers: The Series

"Aaaaaaaah, I give up. If you wanna sleep through the debate, Tales, go right ahead, ol' buddy! You'd make a better mayor anyway, Tropes."
(Cue canned laughter. Chey then goes over to the kitchen and starts preparing breakfast.)

Playing appears, in scuba gear, holding a pencil, notebook, banana, and an encyclopedia.

"Some party last night!"

“Wha..... rhino..... feeder.... Aaaaaah!”

(Chey then goes into Tales' room with a plate full of eggs, bacon, sausage, and toaster strudel.)
"Ahhhh, good morning, Tales! The big debate is today, so you're gonna need to fuel up. Here's your breakfast!"

“Mind if I hire Phoenix Wright to be a proxy for the debate?”

"I think I know, I mean, er yes, but it's all wrong...that is, I think I disagree."

"Well, I've got my obfuscation skills down pat! I'm gonna head off. Taco!"

"Tales, you're gonna get up on that podium and win the crowd over!"

(Later at the Debate...)

”The debate starts now!”

(Chey and Ford are sitting in the front row. Chey is cheering as loud as possible while Ford just applauded.)
"GET 'EM, TALES!"

“Oh, uh, ok. Uhhh, your mama so fat that....”

(Chey buries her face and groans.)

"My mama so fat because she has a surplus of food and other necessities! Just like this town will if I'm elected."

“HOLD IT! There is no proof you have any food!

Taco applauds, cheering Tropes’ comeback, inspiring some other cheers from the crowd.

Lonagan, meanwhile, starts speaking. “Um, So, uh, I think in order to fix the Tropesberg taxing system, we should tax sugar, so that, uh, we can make upnenough money for that park that we’ve had planned. Y’know?”

Even the crickets remain quiet.

I pull out a sandwich from my bag of holding and wave it in front of Tales.

(Nurse Trixie from the Troper's New Groove episode raises her hand.)
"How will you improve our city's hospital?"

"Taco, don't you think your taxation system could be wrong?"

"OBJECTION! That sandwich does not technically qualify as food.... because it is poisonous! During the Australia episode, you took a spider while I was in the hotel room! Even though it was poisonous, you were able to take it, because you still had your diving suit on. Using the gloves, you picked up the spider and had it poison the sandwich!"

"That's quite needlessly complex...just like all your proposals!"

Taco looks around. He hasn't said anything, so he's not sure why Playing is talking to him.

Lonagan says, "Uh, the hospitals need to be improved?" He then gulps, and the smacking hand of his campaign manager can be heard on his manager's forehead.

"A word of advice, Lonagan: if you can't improve your debate tactics first, you're not gonna get anything done with hospitals."

"Please explain why your taxation system is right, or I'll do something bad!"

Lonagan starts sweating with Playing's arguments. "Um, uh, well, sugar isn't particularly healthy, so, huh, if we tax them... can I have some water, my mouth is so dry up here!"

"Oh, so if you tax sugar, people will become healthier? That's genius!"
