[up][up]I also love how Beerus told him its about focusing on destruction and he took that to mean be an egomanic and get beat up alot.

[up]It makes perfect sense to me.

Don't nobody get destroyed as badly as Vegeta. He's the king of getting his ass handed to him and his talent for getting his shit kicked in is at the level of a martial arts master.[lol]

Why would they wait until Pass 3 to add Bardock, Broly, and Gogeta 4 to FighterZ 2 when they're already in FighterZ 1?

Milking the hype i guess.

I wonder what the deepest cut characters we can get are.

Deepest cut would probably be characters from the 3 Dragon Ball movies that no-one watched.

[up][up][up] Given the way Street Fighter tends to treat Akuma, you might be spittin'. He didn't show up in SFV until the second character pass. He's in the first pass in SF 6, but the length of this pass has been so much that it's not that big a difference.

He's firmly in the "you know you want him, you know you'll wait for him, and you know you'll pay for him, and the company knows it too" DLC camp.

Bardock especially is in that camp over here. They know the fans will wait and/or pay whatever they ask to get him.

Time to give 18 a make-over

Hey, I had a similar idea to split Android 18 into two characters. Tournament of Power Present 18 and Future 18 with Future 17.

     Android 18

Intro: She walks up with her hands in her shirt pockets.

6H: 18 pulls her hair back and appears behind the opponent, kicking their arm with her 5H. Triggers a crumple state.

5S: Hold or mash S to fire infinitely.

236L/M/H (Air OK): 18 flies forward and does a super-strong swinging side kick downward. High hitstun and blockstun.

  • L: She flies 50% of the screen forward quickly.
  • M: She flies 75% of the screen forward.
  • H: She flies 85% of the screen forward quickly.

236S: Destructo Disk. Should have an aerial variation.

214L/M/H: Back Grapple. Changed from 236L/M/H. All variations now have her stomp the opponent for a sliding knockdown. Hold the button to have her throw the opponent into the wall instead. Switches sides.

  • L: Only works on grounded opponents.
  • M: Only works on aerial opponents. Has air invulnerability.
  • H: Works on either grounded or aerial opponents. Has air invulnerability.

j.214L/M/H: A divekick. On hit or block, she jumps off the opponent. High.

  • L: 18 jumps off the opponent backward.
  • M: 18 jumps straight up, directly in front of the opponent.
  • H: 18 jumps forward past the opponent. Switches sides.

214S: A physical counter. She points her hand forward. If the opponent hits her, she crouches under them and then stands up, holding them above her head. She then throws them forward, spinning on the ground until they hit the wall.

236L+M (Air OK) Level 1: Electric Strike. She crosses her arms and charges up yellow energy in her hands. She then flies forward, slashing diagonally downward with a huge wave of energy. Switches sides. Does 2,150 damage raw, 850 scaled.

236H+S Level 1: 18 powers up and does an upward punch, launching the opponent into the air. Then she jumps up and pierces through them with a dramatic lunging punch. Invincible. Switches sides. Does 2,418 damage raw, 818 scaled.

214L+M or 214H+S (Air OK) Level 3: Photon Rain. 18 flies around the opponent while shooting eighteen purple ki blasts at them, each one larger than the last. The huge final blast creates a large explosion. Does 4,218 damage raw, 1,718 scaled.

  • If on a team with Krillin, they stand on either side of the opponent and throw a pink ki ball back and forth, just missing them. The ball gets larger and faster with each pass until 18 hits the opponent and it creates a large explosion.
  • If on a team with 17, they stand on either side of the opponent and blast them with endless yellow ki blasts getting faster over time. The energy coalesces into sparkles around the opponent and creates a large explosion.

Outro: Changed from current 18.

     Future 18 and 17

Change all of their voice lines to be evil.

Intro: They destroy the area with finger beams then turn their attention to the opponent.

5L: A slightly different standing low kick, 1 frame slower and with a little more range. Low.

5LL: The palm-strike launches the opponent away.

5LLL: 18 and 17 both charge and headbutt the opponent together.

3H: 18 flies forward along the ground and does a sweeping outward chop. Low.

2S: 18 shoots a beam at a high angle upward.

j.2M: A diving down shoulder charge.

j.5S: 18 shoots a ki blast diagonally downward. Mash or hold S to shoot up to 5.

236L/M/H (Air OK): 18 grabs the opponent's shirt and charges up a ki blast in her other hand which she then throws into their face from point-blank range. Command grab, the aerial version only works on aerial opponents.

  • L: Just the grab and blast.
  • M: Has a follow-up with 17 knocking them down into a sliding knockdown.
  • H: Has a different follow-up with 17 launching them upward.

236S (Air OK): Infinity Bullet. 18 charges up and shoots a barrage of strong pink energy blasts forward on the ground or downward in the air. Hold S to fire infinitely. The blasts have the same hit priority as Broly's 5S.

214S (Air OK): Support Attack. 17 uses Barrier, both on the ground and in the air.

22S (Air OK): Support Attack. 17 shoots 3 ki blasts forward on the ground or downward in the air.

22L/M/H (Air OK): 18 and 17 swap places. Works the same when 17 is the point fighter. Changes some moves.

  • L: 18 vanishes out and 17 appears in the same place.
  • M: 18 vanishes out and 17 Super Dashes in. Similar to raw tag-out.
  • H: 18 vanishes out and 17 Super Dashes in very quickly. Similar to Guard Cancel.

17's changed moves:

  • 3H: 17 does a sliding low kick forward. Low.
  • 236L/M/H (Air OK): 17 flies past the opponent and backhands them, launching them backward.
    • L: 17 flies forward a short distance and backhands them from behind. Cross-up.
    • M: 17 flies forward full-screen and backhands them from behind. Cross-up.
    • H: 17 appears behind the opponent and flies past them to backhand them from the front.
  • 236S (Air OK): Barrier. Works just like 18's current Barrier. Hold S to keep it active infinitely.
  • 214S (Air OK): Support Attack. 18 uses Infinity Bullet.

236L+M Level 1: Photon Flash. Standing back-to-back, 17 and 18 hold their hands out and fire a giant beam forward together. Does 2,335 damage raw, 835 scaled.

214L+M or 214H+S (Air OK) Level 3: Accel Dance. Does not team up with Krillin if he's on the same team.

  • Level 4: Dead End Rain. After the explosion, 18 and 17 rain down ki blasts on the opponent, pinning them to the ground and surrounding them with explosions. Does 5,035 damage raw, 2,035 scaled.

Outro: 18 shoots a finger beam over her shoulder at the opponent, creating an explosion, and she poses with 17.

[up][up] Hmm, well, if the idea is to keep 18 as the character she is while updating her a bit, then I disagree with a lot of those changes. In particular, if she's going to be the game's premiere puppet character, she really ought to keep that command grab.

Even if people don't use it much, it should be there.

I think, since 17 is his own standalone character now, 18 should be too.

We've got three female characters in this game, and two of them rely on calling in a male character for support.

I mean, while I get that, I think I would prefer Videl be used without Saiyaman than 17 and 18 be split up.

At least 18's built around that puppet mechanic in a way neither of the others are. Separating them means robbing the game of a legitimately fun and interesting gameplay style. Plus it's in there in the first place because it's a reference to a pair of specific scenes from the source material, whereas Videl and Gohan only ever really fight together in the Wrath of the Dragon.

Plus, heck, even in Super and the manga the two of them still do the duo act, so it's not like it's not relevant any more.

[up][up]We're at five now. 18, Videl, Kefla, 21, 21 again.

And while I get the sentiment, ultimately I don't feel like Great Saiyaman "carries" Videl. When I fight her, he's not what I find scary about her moveset.

At most, I would say keep 17 and 18 as a duo fighter, and then have a separate Super 18 to celebrate her Super moveset, the same way the various Gokus and Vegetas are era specific.

(reads it over)

I like it. Kind of a hard hitting rushdown character sort of thing. All about rushing towards the opponent, hitting hard, lots of moves that are plus on block, staying up in their face, sometimes switching sides. As a guy who plays Soriz in Granblue, I kind of have to like it.

The only thing I would add is that if you have Krillin on your team, her Level 3 turns into this:

I've wanted them to replace her more generic 18 + Krillin duo LVL 3 in the game already with that for ages, but I guess it ran into the same issue that Super 17 did that all that content just wasn't there when the game was in development.

[up]Um. I did do that with 18 and Krillin. And I even added another variation where if she's on a team with 17, her Level 3 turns into this:

I did keep the command grab tho, I just changed the input.
