???

Hidden in the corner of an empty broom closet, a young man stares down at a screen in his hands. After a moment, a voice comes from it.

"Lock'n Key."

The man immediately began talking. "Yes, hey, hi, it's me, I need to speak to the Chief ASAP."

"Patching you through."

A brief silence passed, and the man in the closet continued without waiting for a response.

"Chief! He's dead!"

Only static responded. A click, and the conversation was over, leaving the man alone in the closet again.

At the exact same time, in many other places, doors were being opened. Those doors led whoever walked through them to somewhere that was much, much different than where they usually went.

Briefing Room

These certain doors opened into a wide square room. A long table sat not too far from where everyone entered, curved towards them all. A simple podium stood opposite the table, with a large black screen embedded into the wall behind it. The room was stark white and immaculately clean - as if it had never been used - and stretched impossibly upwards, to the point where the ceiling couldn't even be seen. There were lights in each four corners of the room, illuminating everything on the floor and leaving anything above a pitch black void. Curiously, any sound didn't seem to echo, despite the room's size.

As people began opening their doors, the screen opposite them turned on. A bold red message against a white background: DON'T PANIC. The side of the room they came from was lined with doors, each one opening into completely different places. Those who entered the room further would notice a neat plate of cookies in the middle of the curved table.

((To clarify, your characters would be exiting a place with only one door, that door being the door that brings them to the room. They should also preferably be alone, so no non-PC characters would go through as well.))

The Commonwealth

Night fell on Diamond City harder than a crashing vertibird. I was waiting in my office for trouble to come sweeping in, lured by the cloak the night grants it.

"Nick..."

My partner had skipped town for the week, but not without leaving behind something special. It wasn't like the trail of blood they usually leave for me.

"Niiiick..."

I took another drag from my cigarette, feeling comfort from the one friend I knew would be on my side, always. I'd been getting some strange vibes from the leggy dame I'd brought in to be my secretary. She was easy on my eyes, but hers were telling me things weren't so easy.

"That's it!" Ellie shouted, "I am going to shred every stupid spy novel Sole gave you if you keep this up!" The smile on her face betraying her real feelings.

"... She stared at me like-" Nick started to say, before Ellie interrupted with a loud groan.

"Alright, out!" She yelled, still smiling, "if you're just going to keep bothering me because you're bored then go find something else to do. Outside." With that she grabbed the synth by the arm and started pushing him out the door.

"Hey, you forget who's paying you?" Nick asked with a smirk.

"I think I heard Hancock's looking for a new secretary," Ellie retorted, "at least he wouldn't torture me like this!"

Nick just laughed and pulled his arm out of his secretary's grip. She was right, ever since his partner had blown up the Institute, people had been disappearing rarely enough that Nick was actually bored. He figured meeting up with Takashi at the noodle stand would at least be something to do, even if he couldn't eat any of the food.

The Void

Nick turned around to Ellie, giving her a small wave and shutting the door. Then he realized that he wasn't in Diamond City anymore.

"What the hell?" he asked as he pulled his gun. He took stock of the room he was stuck in and was not terribly impressed. The cookies in particular weren't much comfort.

The Dynamic Duo, Osaka

"So what happened was that this guy was holding a gun to this one lady, Heiji spoke excitedly, and he had already killed three hostages, so I had to find a way to make him stand-

"Detective freak."

"down,"

"Detective freak."

"so I said-"

"Detective freak."

"You know you won't get anything-"

"DETECTIVE FREAK!"

"What?"

"I was there."

"Oh."

Heiji and Kazuha were walking home from school, Heiji balancing on the brick wall beside Kazuha, who was on the sidewalk. Heiji had been excitedly relating one of his more recent cases, Kazuha listening with a tired look on her face. "Well, what about this one?" "Oh?" Kazuha raised an eyebrow, and Heiji jumped down from the wall. There was this woman, a foreigner, he opened the door, and they both stepped through it, "And she had stolen three thousand dollars worth of diamonds, "Heiji." "And flushed them into the sewers!" "Heiji. "She even recruited the janitor to help, "Heiji!" "or the janitor recruited her, I'm still not sure. "HEIJI!" "Jeez, what?" Kazuha gestured around them.

"Oh..." Heiji very surreptitiously took a step so that he was in front of Kazuha.

Cybertron

The bar was the same kind of dive that you might find across the galaxy - run down, dilapidated, and populated by an array of individuals who you don't want to cross - especially when they're drunk.

"I told ya already, I don't know nothin about yer so-called 'missin' Empty','" growled one of the patrons, a rusty-looking hulk of a 'bot who probably transformed into some kind of industrial construction machine. "Why don't yah get off my struts and bother someone else, huh?''' His drinking buddies glowered at Nightbeat and Siren, moodily nursing rancid mugs of energon. Any 'bot with some a decent sense of self-preservation probably would not engage a trio of bots - one of whom looked as though he transformed into some kind of heavy artillery platform, another bristling with spikes and hazard stripes.

"Are you sure about this, Nightbeat?" asked Siren, looking from one nasty-looking patron to the next and looking increasingly unsure of his odds of short-term survival.

"Really, Shovelarm?" asked Nightbeat, ignoring his Autobot friend and stepping a few feet closer to the bot under suspicion. Shovelarm scowled into his tank of engex and looked ready to punch someone right in the face. "Then why is it that your little friend Steamhammer said that you were the one who sold Borehole those 'spare parts', hm?" One hand fumbled for his photon pistol - this was war, after all, and if the supposedly unaffiliated Shovelarm did have ties to the Decepticons then there would be reinforcements lurking just around the corner.

<According to Altihex's books there've been no accredited capacitor manufacturers for the last eight hundred years,> came a thought that wasn't entirely his; memories swirled as thoughts of Altihex's economics came pouring back to him, a small part of him industriously crunching the numbers, < Borehole, Holepunch, Cogwheel - they all got their shipments from a single source. Every time Cogwheel's shop gets a new shipment, an Empty goes missing... and oh, I don't think either side looks kindly on blackmarket organ sales. We've got him.>

"Fresh T-cogs don't just turn up by themselves, you know," Nightbeat continued gamely, giving a mental nod in Muzzle's directions. and I checked the records - I don't recall anyone having a license to manufacture capacitors in this part of-"

WHAM!

Nightbeat briefly saw stars as his optical capacitors struggle to reboot themselves. Static filled his vision for a few seconds before he realized that the ugly, angry shapes looming over him were Shovelarm's drinking buddies- except that it was quite clear that Shovelarm's "buddies" were probably on his payroll.

"Nightbeat..." Siren was already crumpling under the idea of facing these goons as Nightbeat scrambled to his feet; firing a wild burst of photons in the direction of his attackers. " I told you that this was a bad idea, we shoulda waited for Prime or someone -"

"I'm the detective here-" shouted Nightbeat over the din as the various patrons in the bar drew their weapons - that was a persistent danger of Cybertronian police work; your suspects tended to have enough firepower to level a medium-sized bunker - and opened fire on Nightbeat, Siren, Shovelarm, each other - "-and the detective says run!" Nightbeat sprinted through the door -

... and emerged somewhere entirely different that wasn't the mean streets of Altihex's neutral slums, or anywhere on Cybertron for that matter. There were others there... other humans, at least, and a strange sort of artificial humanoid off in the corner, a sort of mechanical human - or maybe a synthetic Nebulan? - that looked as though it had seen better days.

It was probably a good thing that Nightbeat was such a good detective with a keen eye for details, because few other people would have been able to take all this in as they slid under the weight of their own momentum towards the table, narrowly missing it at the last moment. Nightbeat grunted and checked himself all over for dents as he rose to his feet.

<Friends of yours?> thought Nightbeat as he assuaged his aching head.

<I really wish you'd be more careful with me,> grumbled Muzzle, his irritation clear from his tone of thought. <I'm more than just a helmet, you know - and no,> he added after a picosecond of mulling it over, <these aren't any people I know. Believe me, you'd know if Nebulans started building robots like that.>

"Where in the Pit am I?" asked Nightbeat aloud as he and Muzzle were mentally conversing, idly staring up at the unending black void above them. "This place is wonderful,", he added sardonically, "really a nice treat, to show me what my afterlife holds, but I have an organ trafficking case that I'd very much like to get back to, thanks."

New York, Earth-616— To Know Her is to Fear Her

Here I am, driving down the streets waiting for some good for nothing punk to attack someone so I can step in and punch their teeth in. And all I can think of right now is how my son is doing, because evidently I've lost all control over my life. They never mention that in pregnancy books.

I don't want to give in to the paranoia and call home to see if everything's okay. I know Carol can take care of anything, she's a space cop after all. And even if she somehow finds her match, she has an entire army at her disposal...

Fuck it.

"Is everything there alright?"

"Jess? Yes, everything is ok" she pauses and I can already feel her trying to contain her laughter "You've only been away for like five minutes. You do know I have superpowers, right?"

That's exactly my point.

"No offense Carol, but I would feel better if Roger were there instead. Weird tends to come after you" And it would be good if I could raise my kid in a normalish environment. Fat chance of that happening but hey, I can dream.

"Well, Roger is visiting his kid right now and Ben is working, so I'll have to do. Also, ouch"

"Yeah sorry, I'm a little on edge. Just don't put him in that alien bubble, okay?"

"Gerry is right here with me and we're not going anywhere. Seriously, just take five"

Yeah, she does have a point. I need to take it easy for a bit "Ok, but I'll call you later" I just wish I could see some action to distract myself with. You would think a place as big as New York would have at least one person trying to make a quick buck out of stealing someone else's belongings.

But if the city is safe for now and Gerry is getting to know his aunt Carol, I think food is right what I need to occupy my mind with. I stop my motorbike and enter through the door to one of my favorite places to buy food in—they give me a discount for being an Avenger even when I'm not technically one anymore. I talk to the vendor, not really paying attention because one one side I'm picturing Gerry being in danger and on the other, I'm already savoring what I'm about to eat...

"Hey, do you still have bacon—"

White Room — Been there, done that

...only to find myself anywhere but where I was just a second ago.

"—ice cream?"

I stand corrected. I'm not going to take it easy. I could do without the sudden teleportation, thank you very much.

My mind races with the possibilities: Multiversal gladiator contest, a Skrull invasion, time travel shenanigans I don't want to take part in, maybe even interdimensional vampires again? You know your life is not terribly normal when anything of what I just listed is a rational conclusion.

I see there are at least four others here: Two robots—one is humanoid, the other is a giant with a familiar design—and two human kids. Good news, they are not from the Avengers, the Defenders, the X-Men, Alpha Flight, the Ultimates, or any of the other superhero teams I know. Bad news, they are as confused as I am and as much as I like my relatively mundane lifestyle I could really use Earth's mightiest heroes right about now.

Whoever brought us here either has a really sick sense of humor or doesn't know that kidnapping people is illegal because a plate of cookies and a message on a screen that reads "Don't panic" are hardly going to calm anyone down. For example, the bigger robot almost fell over the table and mentioned an organ trafficking case while the other three were too shocked to properly react. It seems I'm the only one with any experience jumping dimensions. Of course.

See, this kind of situation always has someone explaining what's going on, for better or worse. Whoever is behind this has a clear purpose and needs us. They wouldn't kidnap random people just to see how they interact with each other. Wait, nevermind what I just said, they absolutely would.

"Is anyone going to explain what's going on here?" I lose nothing by asking.

Ema's Room

Ema was busy packing up for her trip to Khura'in, getting as much stuff as she could inside a suitcase. Everything she saw that she might want on the trip, she put in there, ranging from extra clothes, to forensic equipment (even though she could just use what was given to her at Khura'in's own forensics labs) to a portable gaming device for when boredom hit. Not to mention the stuff that was already in her bag.

"I've been doing so much bouncing back between the US and Khura'in, this is getting really annoying" she thought as she stuffed her suitcase, "At least this time it looks like I'll be settling there for a while to help Nahyuta with all the changes, but at the same time this means having to deal with that old-fashioned country and all it's spiritual mumbo-jumbo for even longer..."

Once she finished stuffing the suitcase to the limit, the struggle to actually get the thing to close began, with Ema taking over 10 minutes just trying to get the thing to close. She resorted to many different options, including basically sitting on it in order to cram everything in there.

"Come on! Close. Off!" She said as she tried her hardest to force the zipper to continue making progress.

After much struggle she finally managed to close the suitcase off and although just a little stress out, she was all ready to go now. Still early to for her flight too, so she could afford to take it easy and not rush herself to the airport.

"I just hope I didn't forget anything important, I doubt I would be able to cram it in there anyway," she sighed.

With that done, Ema began heading out of her room house dragging a suitcase behind her. All in all it was looking out to be a very good day outside, well, at least where she was right now, she hadn't really looked at the weather forecast for Khura'in, she had kinda forgotten to do it. Still, she marched out through the door of her house with vigor and confidence...

Briefing Room

... Until suddenly she was at a complete different place. That was most definitely not the outside and just glancing around she saw all kinds of bizarre things around like a giant robot and a not-giant robot, plus some kids and another woman. Ema looked behind her to see that there was a door and her first instinct was to try to go back through it.

It didn't work.

"Wha-" She began saying, her shock and surprise quickly turning into anger and frustration, "What is this!?" She yelled out, frantically looking around as she tried to make sense of anything.

Philadelphia

Norman Jadyen was not having a good day.

The pouring rain had come out of nowhere.

Granted, that was Philadelphia for you- whenever you wanted to take a walk, you were going to get soaked to the bone.

The fact that Jayden had known this before deciding to take a stroll didn't make him any less annoyed about it.

Holding his jacket over his head like a makeshift umbrella, he hurried back to his apartment.

God damn it, I knew it was going to rain. Why the hell did I think it was a good idea to head to the park?

Jayden flung open his apartment door and stepped inside, letting his coat fall around his shoulders as he sighed in relief. He could dry off, maybe play some piano, and...

Somewhere

... and suddenly he was somewhere else. He felt slightly dizzy, and he shook his head. His eyes fell on a screen, with the bold red words "don't panic" on them. Was this some kind of joke?

Jayden turned, confusion clear in his face. What the actual hell? There were a ton of doors, and a freaking plate of cookies, and there were other people here too. There was a giant robot, actually. That was the first thing he noticed, and he stumbled backwards slightly, still soaking wet. What?

And then he noticed that there was a guy in a detective outfit with a gun out. Whatever the hell was happening, that was the most pressing- especially since there seemed to be kids around.

Stepping forwards, he raised his hands in a placating gesture. "Hey, hey, hey. Just put the gun down. Everyone's panicked, but there's no need for violence. We don't want anyone to get hurt accidentally, right?"

The man was hard to read- especially since his face was... off... but everyone else was shocked and a few people were scared. It wasn't much of a leap in logic to assume that he was, too.

There was a lot happening very quickly, and Nick could feel his processors whirring almost too fast as he tried to figure out what was going on. Several humans also seemed to get kidnapped through the doors. Given their body language, they were just as confused as him.

The robot that was much bigger than Nick was a surprise, but he hadn't shown any signs of being a threat, so Nick started to slowly relax. It wasn't until someone addressed him personally that he eased out of his defensive posture.

The other guy was pretty concerned about Nick's gun, which was rather rare in the Commonwealth. Most people just accepted that strangers won't disarm until you've done most of their busywork.

Still, Nick didn't want to make anyone more uncomfortable than was necessary, and his hand already put him at a disadvantage in that field. He sighed and holstered his gun. "Sorry, pal," he said, "didn't mean to scare 'ya. Unless you're the one who brought me here, but I'm guessing you were snatched too."

Somewhere inside Hong Kong Police Force Headquarters, 1 Arsenal Street, Wan Chai, Hong Kong

Inspector Chung Chau had just returned inside HKPF HQ, early in the afternoon after a brief stakeout on a criminal gang smuggling weapons from the mainland had netted in a quick arrest in the early morning. The situation, escalated to a brief shootout that the Surveillance Support Unit's D Team aka Hit Team had to go tactical and reinforce uniformed officers when they responded to cordon the scene.

<"Dammit, what a morning."> The inspector murmured in Cantonese after he got off his unmarked 2002 Lexus LX 470. Another D Team officer got off the SUV as well.

<"Chong".> He spoke to the officer after they got the SUV parked.

"Yes, sir?" Chong, a 28-year old officer in plain clothes, replied in English with a Hong Kong Chinese accent.

<"Make sure you let the others that a debriefing will start once the Chief Superintendent arrives."> He gave out his instruction. "Understood?" Chung spoke in English with a mixture of a American (California) and Hong Kong Chinese accent.

"Yes, sir."

The two of them went to check the SUV's rear to make sure they took their things from it. Only Chung and Jane Chan, the unit's only female officer, didn't have a bullet fired since some of the armed suspects gave themselves up once they saw their own buddies getting shot for aiming their weapons at armed officers.

Figures. They were probably too dumb or stupid to try something like that.

Chung went to inspect his weapons and gear. They were still okay. But regardless, he still needed to log in and report it as part of inventory management.

He stretched his hands, flight gloves over them before he closed the SUV's trunk. His Glock 17 was holstered and the Colt M4A1 slung over his shoulder, already placed on safe mode. His CIB jacket was worn over to cover the appearanc of his tac vest.

The man walked towards the entrance to police HQ. And it appeared that it was going to be a nice afternoon with reports to handle and briefings to attend to...

<"Chong!..."> The inspector called out to the officer in Cantonese.

Weirdass Briefing Room

<"I need you to..."> The inspector continued before he stopped. When he entered the room, he saw other people who he never saw before in his life.

Must be someone's idea of a joke. He murmured when he saw the whiteboard and the cookies on the table.

"Excuse me..." Chung asked the others. "Did you guys remember what happened before you guys got here?"

"So we've all been taken then?" said Nightbeat to the dilapidated robot as he drew his plasma rifle - panels shifting into place as it simply formed around his hand and ignoring the entreaties of the others- and hefted it up over his shoulder, barrel pointed at the sky. "So where were you when you got abducted off the junkheap and into?" asked the Autobot as he waved his hands futilely up at the endless blackness around them, struggling to find the perfect adjective to describe just how utterly baffling this whole predicament was, "... this?"

<What kind of ridiculous people would dress up a perfectly good robot like... that?> Nightbeat furrowed his brow and looked around at the room in more detail, then started pacing back and forth like a caged tiger- which was probably something a hassle to the other people in the room if they didn't want to get trodden on -as he began thinking aloud.

"Well. For one thing this - this room that we've all been imprisoned in doesn't seem to carry any kind of wear or tear, indicating that our ahem, 'hosts' either have a fantastic janitorial staff on hand or that this room has been manufactured fairly recently. The fact that there is also a door designed for my accommodation..."

<And->

-and a plate of sugary organic food containing fat-saturated hydrocarbon compounds and dried cacao suggests that this is not a random teleportation accident, but a deliberate and prepared targeting of specific individuals, and that these treats-" here, he knelt down and picked one up between his thumb and index finger - the effect was almost ludicorously comic - -are designed to reassure us of our captor's good intentions. Or that's what they want us to think, anyway-"

He crumbled the tiny cookie between his two metal digits, watching idly as the crumbs fell to the floor.

"What I wouldn't give for a nice cold tank of engex right now."

Rinko stared upwards as she looked at the old western style home. More of a mansion if she were being honest. It'd been a few days since a second Sabbath had been prevented as well as the dissolution of their enemies and her friend Koyomi but now there was work to do.

This was her first time at the Fueki household since the death of its owner Shou a few days earlier. His death had left a power vacuum among the Phantoms and the first order of business was to search his home for information on where any Phantoms could be found before it was filled. Rinko has arrived early to give the building a look around.

Turning from looking at the second floor windows, she surveyed the area she was in. The back of the home had been beautiful once but signs of aging as well as a fight had diminished that beauty. Most of the damage appeared to be fire damage with the ashes of plants and scorch marks on the brick walls and window frames. With a sigh and a small frown, she marched towards the back door leading into the house. She wanted to get started before the others arrived.

Pausing at the doorframe after pulling the door slightly open, Rinko reached down and pulled her gun out, holding it up to her chest. Easing the rest of the door open with her foot, she slowly poked her head around the corner...and stared.

The room before her did not give off the feeling of an old house. From her view she could see other doors alongside the one she had come through. In the center was a long, curved table with a black screen flashing a reminder not to panic in red behind it. Odder than either of those were the occupants of the room before her. While the two teenagers, young women, and the two men that she could see seemed normal enough there were definitely some that stood out.

One of those who stood out was what looked like a large robot, crumbs dripping from its hands. Though after fighting Phantoms and seeing one of her friends take on dragon features robots probably weren't the weirdest thing to happen to Rinko. Another robot could be seen pacing as she inched closer inside. Finally, she noticed another man that appeared to lack a face though she couldn't be entirely sure from where she stood.

Eyes locking onto those before her, she moved towards the pair of teenagers whilst lowering her gun and not hearing the door click shut behind her in the process. Taking in their features as she got closer as brief smile came to her lips as she realized she wasn't the only one from her home country of Japan around. This was quickly replaced with a frown when she remembered that they were the only children around. Acknowledging Heiji as the one in charge, she spoke to the pair.

"Are you two alright? How did you get here?"

Heiji & Kazuha, Meeting Room, What A Waste Of Cookies

Kazuha "eep"'d and grabbed onto Heiji by the shoulders when Nightbeat made his entrance. "Heiji, it'sa giant robot." "Ya think I didn't notice!" He moved a little more in front of Kazuha, making his intentions clear, and Kazuha shook her head and moved out from behind him. "Really, Heiji?" Heiji just shrugged.

Then more people started to arrive. The two moved further into the room, turning to face the woman who greeted them. She'd be able to tell that they both had Osakan accents, Heiji's much more pronounced than Kazuha's. They both nodded, and Heiji begun to talk. "Me and Kazuha-chan were walking home, and we went through a door, and ..." He waved his hand around. "We ended up here." Kazuha finished.

Jayden had sighed in relief as the person put away his gun. "Don't get me wrong, I'm happy someone's armed. But a misfire could be deadly, and there are children around," he'd pointed out. One wrong move and someone could end up dead.

The giant robot and the smaller human- at least, he looked human- started to wax lyrical about the state of the room. Jayden observed him as he did so. He couldn't get as much out of him- he was a giant robot, after all- but he seemed conifdent. Jayden would have guessed that he'd been doing... whatever his job was... for a while.

The other man had made a good suggestion, frankly. After Nick had stopped speaking, Jayden had spoke up. "I was on my way back home to my apartment, after I got a taste of good old Philadelphia rain." Someone else had joined their ranks. Why hadn't he noticed that? She had spoken to the kids- all three of them looked Japanese. The kids had also been on their way back home. Interesting.

"I think we should probably introduce ourselves, too," he suggested. He extended a hand to Nick- he was the only person Jayden had spoken too sofar, the robot was far too big, he didn't know much about the lady or the other man, and the kids were kids. "Norman Jayden. FBI."

Fuuto, Tokyo

Shotaro Hidari let out a sigh as he parked the Hard Boilder in front of his office. Today had been an eventful day: fighting Kaijin and kamen riders alongside other kamen riders, saving the world from destruction, several requests to find someone's lost pet again...in other words, a busy tuesday for him.

Saa, almost like the old days. He thought as he unlocked the door. Fighting evil organizations, bumping into Tsukasa- Shotaro froze mid thought upon stepping past the threshold of his office door, and into a room that was clearly not his office. What the hell?

Looking around, Shotaro noticed that there were several people-and a robot- in the room as well, looking eaqually lost.

"I'm guessing everyone here somehow arrived here after passing through a doorway?" He asked.

Naoto was done with school and was ready to head to Junes for a meetup that Yu had planned. While no more kidnapping and murder cases have arose in Inaba after those foggy December days, the Investigation Team still went to that food court every once and awhile just to enjoy each others company. That didn't mean that Naoto wasn't packing a revolver in her school uniform. It was the only natural thing to do after meeting up so many times to travel into that other side and fight. The Detective Prince was in the school after hours, past the usual rush of the major student body leaving, and she walked through the school front door...

...and into a white room with people and table with cookies on it and a TV saying "DON'T PANIC."

Well, this is not good. After dealing with many months of moving back and forth through the TV, being suddenly transported into this room did not sit well with Naoto. Might be a unknown case of travel into the TV World. Can't rule out other supernatural methods of travel into that realm.

Naoto took in the sight of everyone, trying to see if a shared trait between everyone could be.....Wait, is that a robot!? Naoto pulled out the revolver from her pocket and aimed it at the yellow and blue machine. With the unknown method of being taken here and the threat that she faced in that other side, she couldn't take the risk of it being a potential threat! She told the robot looking creature, "If you are a denizen of this place then I order you to drop the weapon and not attack!"

"Diamond City? Can't say I've ever heard of that city - or even what kind of species you are-"

<Trouble.>

Whatever Nightbeat was about to say was cut short when yet another humanoid burst into the room, pointing a gun at him and yelling. The Autobot slumped a bit, as though sighing a nonexistent sigh, before retracting his plasma rifle back into his person.

"Don't look at me, I just got here too," he shrugged. "We all did, as a matter of fact, and our captors are giving us - well, those of us who are organic - sugary treats to calm us down." Nightbeat motioned to the plate of cookies by way of explanation. "I believe that consuming processed cocoa induces a positive reaction in humans?"

A Room — Don't look a gift horse in the mouth

The giant robot asked everyone what we were all doing. Well, what does he think I was doing?

"I was planning on buying some ice cream and not getting pulled by some sort of reality-warping entity. I think I somehow failed on both regards"

His analysis of the cookies was oddly cute. The guy didn't even know what they were. But that reminds me I'm still a bit hungry. Even if these things are loaded with arsenic, they are just going to taste like crap so I can take it. Besides, this is an obvious place for a trap. Which means it can't be a trap. Unless... they are counting on us thinking that and it is a trap after all...

Ugh, I can't think on an empty stomach. So yeah, those cookies are going straight to my stomach.

Some people were freaking out, naturally, others were starting to introduce each other—not without some initial tensions—and a kid in particular pulled a gun on the yellow robot. Not like that was going to accomplish anything but I'm personally tired of good people resorting to attacking each other because they don't know how to argue like normal humans.

"Hey, you stop that! There won't be any unnecessary fights while I'm here"

The robot even pointed at the plate of cookies and how eating some chocolate would help calm her down. What a nice guy.

"I would give you some but they are probably poisoned" I said, before starting to eat another one "Maybe. You can never be too sure"

Chung groaned when he saw Naoto arrive with her sidearm drawn out.

"Put the revolver down." Chung didn't want to escalate things, but had his index trigger on the carbine to show that he's serious.

"We all just got here. Assuming that the someone who got us here wants us to do something."

The HKPF officer sighed before he introduced himself. "I need to introduce myself. Inspector Chung Chau. Hong Kong Police Force. I'm under the Force's Surveillance Support Team's D Team. Also known as Hit Team."

"'Species'?" Nick repeated in confusion. "I'm a synth, pal. I was built in a laboratory," he explained with some annoyance. He scanned the crowd, which only seemed to be growing by the second, and sighed. If this wasn't some bizarre test by some Institute survivors, then someone kidnapped a lot of people- even kids.

Speaking of kids, one of them decided to pull a gun on the bigger robot. That was somehow completely familiar and utterly new to Nick. Still, he doubted a revolver would win in a fight with that giant robot.

Nick called over to her and tried to calm her down. "Ya got spunk, kid, but I don't think this fight'll go the way you want. We're all stuck here, might as well try an' get along."

Amsterdam

Nearby a canal, Gesicht calmly walks down a rainy sidewalk. The raindrops soak into his hair, as a child-sized robot slowly approaches him.

“Hello again, Anton,” greets the detective. As the robot approaches the detective, two things become more obvious: the bouquet of flowers in its right hand and its left arm being an arm cannon.

“But no...”, continues Gesicht. “You're Ali... From the bazaar in Persia? What are you doing in Amsterdam...?”

Suddenly, Gesicht experiences a flashback and briefly witnesses his dead robot son, Robita, before his eyes. He hears his wife proudly boasting of the time Robita could walk again. He also hears the man who sold Robita to him, telling Gesicht that Robita costs 500 Zeus.

After the flashback ends, Gesicht cries and states, “It's you...”

Ali coldly points the cannon at Gesicht's face and fires a rocket point-blank, punching a massive, bloody hole into Gesicht's body. Unlike a normal human, Gesicht doesn't visibly react to the wound, revealing that he is a robot.

“Ali...,” says a concerned Gesicht as he feebly reaches out to Ali. “What's wrong, Ali? I haven't seen you since that market in Persia. What is it? Come closer. Don't be scared. You heard that gunshot, didn't you? It's dangerous. I had a boy just like you...”

As his energy was spent on firing that cannon, Ali falls over and shuts down completely.

“Ali...?,” asks a concerned Gesicht. “What happened to you?”

Since Gesicht never got a response from Ali, Gesicht looks down at the hole in his body and sighs. “Nothing will be born from hatred... Nothing... Will be born...”

As his systems are unable to function any longer, Geischt just keels over and dies. His killer's corpse and his own, pitifully drenched in rain. At that moment, everything fades to black.

Health & Wellness Floor

And then there was light! Gesicht looks around his new surroundings and realizes that he is now strapped to a table with some wires attached to his trunk area. He looks at his stomach and realizes that his wounds have miraculously vanished.

Except for some boxers, Gesicht is essentially naked. Not concerned with taboos for now, Gesicht quickly pulls the wires off and gets up. He finds a detective's outfit in the corner and quickly places it on. Not too shabby, eh, Gesicht?

After some more surveying, Gesicht runs across the elevator and enters it. Whoever built this place needs their eyes checked as there are a lot of floors on this thing. Anyways, Geischt went down to base floor and exits the elevator. Hopefully, there will be some answers for his new situation.

Base Floor

By pure luck, Gesicht enters the briefing area, Gesicht looks around the place and nibbles on one of the cookies. He asks the gathered group, “Uh... What's going on here?”

Rinko gave a nod as she listened to the boy and Kazuha's explanation of the situation. Taking that into consideration, it seemed like she wasn't the only one who'd been drawn in through a door. "It seems we have something in common.," she responded as she pushed a stray strand of hair from out of her face. "I'm Daimon Rinko and you are?"

From the corner of her eye she noticed another door opening and...was that Shotaro? He didn't seem to recognize her though so she stayed where she was, only nodding in response to his question. She'd have to talk to him later.

That said, another things of interest followed in rapid succession. Another teenager arrived, this one pulling a gun on the robot who responded by putting up his weapon and motioning to the cookies whilst talking to the kid as did a few other occupants of the room. Weirdest o all was the newest person to enter because they seemed to have appeared without need of a door. Choosing to file all this information away for later, Rinko stood back and waited for the teenagers to respond to her question.

Naoto didn't move her aim off the robot for a short period of time. Well he couldn't be a Shadow of either normal or Self type because he would have started to attack Naoto because of her Persona User status if he was a normal Shadow and there was no sign of the regular self that could show that he was a Shadow Self.....unless that person was dead already but with the demands of several other individuals in the room to stand down and the suspects claim that he just arrived with everyone else, Naoto pulled the weapon close to her chest with the barrel pointing upwards to the endless darkness above the group. He may not be a Shadow but she wasn't ready just yet to put it away. She didn't survive the Inaba case by not being careful after all.

Naoto noted down the knowledge that Chung was police and high ranking from the sound of it. While it wasn't anyone from home, support from law enforcement was always great. "Greetings everyone. I am Naoto Shirogane, part of the long lineage of Shirogane detectives" announced Naoto to the whole group, adding on her occupation as a detective because of Chung's statement.

Nick was itching for a cigarette at that point, but he didn't want to let his guard down when anything could've appeared at any point. He instead decided to introduce himself, since it seemed everyone else decided now was the time.

"Nick Valentine, Diamond City PI," he announced after Naoto. He was starting to notice the pattern. Unless it was a complete coincidence, it seemed like the group was comprised of detectives and other law-enforcement.

The Tsundere Two, Room

"I'm Kazuha, and this is Heiji, " Kazuha responded to Rinko. The boy mentioned was now walking further into the room, examining anything he could. At everyone introducing himself, his head snapped up, hearing things mentioned he'd never heard of. Like, the Shiragane lineage of detectives? What even was that?

"Hattori Heiji, aka the Great Detective of the West here!" He said enthusiastically. Kazuha rolled her eyes. "Toyama Kazuha. I'm not even sure why I'm here." Kazuha spoke quietly, almost despondently, having noticed that everyone there was law enforcement of some kind.
