I want to get into LARP, but I've never done any or seen anything. Can people describe their experiences and how to get into the hobby?

There's several different types of LARP, and each tend to attract a different group of people. LARP tries to describe the medium in general, and has links to pages on this wiki, as well as websites that those groups use to advertise their game.
