"Y'don't...say..." [I wince a little, just noticing the wound. It looks kinda gnarly...gnarled...I know what I mean.] "H-here, we can...ihh, maybe head into a...a bathroom—wait, no..." [I look around, then spot a water fountain. I point to it, looking at her.] "Uh, here, we could try washing it off over there?"

Huh? What's he trying to accomplish there?

(I wonder out loud.)

(I rub the back of my neck, confused. I don't know what to tell Marlon either.)

(Unless...shit, this is gonna end up like the PJ incident is it? I don't show any signs of increased worry and continue to watch, but first turning to Goobert to say...)

I think I know where this is gonna go.

*Bella looks at her wound, then back to Eliot, then back to the wound.*

Belladonna: "Well... It seems bad, but it's not the worst I've gone through. I'm tougher than I look, you know. Nearly lost an arm in one fight and I still kept kicking. I'll get it checked up when we're done, if that's any comfort to you."

*Yalta remains silent as they observe the scene alongside Marlon and Goobert.*

Oh please...do you really believe that, Goobert? She's tough but I don't think she's that tough.

(I ask, and then come to a quick realization.)

Unless that's the VA talking..but she still is hiding it so well....

[I laugh nervously at the wound, the oozing lime-green blood unnerves. I look down at my shawl with a huff and grab it, tearing one of the more ragged portions of it off and presenting it to Bella.]

"Here, if you're not gonna...clean it, you should still dress the damn thing."

(I shudder.)

(I turn back to the conversation, tensely awaiting Bella's next move.)

Belladonna: "I suppose..."

*Despite agreeing, Bella does not take the rag. The air grows a bit awkward.*

Belladonna: "You are offering that to me with no strings attached, right? Nothing up your sleeve?"

[I sigh, waving off Bella's concerns.] "What kinda catch would there be? You're hurt, and I wanna help!" [I shake my head, somewhat disappointed.] "I swear, we've made ourselves a paranoid bunch..."

[Looking around, I peer down the hall.] "Here," [I say, beginning to unfasten my shawl.] "I was gonna go head over to PJ, I think he was coming t'look for you, but...I haven't seen 'im since we last talked, i-it was pretty brief, there was still some...bad blood in between us. I would like to think he went to your waiting area, I think it's called that...we could go and meet up with him there." [My shawl begins to fall off and I catch it. I then drape it like a jacket over my shoulder. Again, I hold out the rag to her.]

*Jani takes the hint, but is steadfast in her denials* So, at least my doppelganger has a name. Trust me, you're going down the wrong road here. *she doesn't really believe what she says next, but the fabrication is still fresh in her mind* My parents were both Digletts. Dad died in a flood when I was little, while mom waved me off as I left my village to see the world. Digletts...individuals. I've never even seen one of your kind until this morning!

*Digda, however, is not convinced* Flood, you say? Hah, we haven't had a flood in Agartha in 30 years! Not since we installed the aqueducts and reservoirs. *noting Jani's expression at the mention of Digda's village, he opts to be clever and ask* Your village, the one that flooded, where might it be located? *to which the two say in unison* North of Orichal the HELL did you do that old man?! *Digda didn't join in with that last part but he does chuckle*

Look, you want the full truth? I come from a land of computers, cell phones, cars, the internet... *as Jani starts listing out and describing concepts foreign to Digda, he can only listen on with fascination. Jani's filibuster goes on for awhile until Digda finally interrupts*

Ahem, I get it kiddo. That's some imagination you have there...is what I would have said if you didn't go into such great detail, anyway. Huh... *Digda ponders on this for some time, only to be interrupted by Jani* So, are you convinced that I'm not this Milly person?

*Digda paces back and forth as he posits* Identical to the most minute detail, even hailing from the same area, but there's no way you could have picked all that up in a week.

*he then looks Jani straight in the eyes as he concludes* If you ask me, kiddo, the answer lies somewhere in between.

Okay. Let's wait for them to actually move, though.

(I look to Yalta, expecting them to come along with us here.)

*Belladonna hesitates before taking the rag and dabbing at her wound with it.*

Belladonna: "Thank you. Probably rather foolish of me to neglect this. Shame that I have to stain this lovely cloth, though..."

*Bella ties the rag around her waist, adjusting it to make sure it effectively dresses her wound.*

Belladonna: "I last saw Paddy in the triage, actually. He may already be gone, but I would say it's worth a shot to check around there first."

Get ready to move. They may be going to triage first.

(I say to Goobert.)

Uh huh! (I say, nodding.)

(I inch myself slightly forward to get a better view of Eliot and Bella, but at the same time I keep myself hidden. I motion Goobert to do the same, presumably Yalta as well.)

Seems everyone and their uncle can do that around here... *to which Digda simply chuckles* No, kiddo, our kind can't read minds, and I'm not interested in that business of yours either. Yeah, I saw that stunt you pulled in the bazaar yesterday...to be honest, Milly would've never tried something that brazen.

*Digda paces as he finally opens up, looking at Jani only when clarifying* I DO have a motive, but there's nothing ulterior about it. You...or at least Milly...were supposed to have been at the ceremony five days ago. You see, I'm a good friend of Doug's and...he's Milly's father by the way...and I've always been there for him and his family's special occasions...ahem, sorry, I'm rambling a bit.

*he looks to Jani as he continues* Long story short, by the time I got there, the ceremony had been canceled. You...Milly's parents, her sisters, they hadn't heard from their daughter since...what is it now, nine days ago? Figured I'd head to Hoard early, and lo and behold...the spitting image of her is fighting in the tournament. Milly wouldn't have so much as hurt a Cutiefly, let alone do what you're doing.

To be honest, I was never big on fighting either, before a week ago anyway...

In any case, Milly's ceremony was scheduled for two weeks before her 18th birthday...and well, there's still time. Won't be as lavish as planned, but....then again, in your current state, you'd just give THEM the Surge as well...

*Jani opts to use this as a "gotcha" moment* 18th, huh? There's no way whatsoever I'm this Milly...I've long since finished high school, AND college...hell, I was a programmer for several years before... *another human memory returns* (Huh, I was, wasn't I...) ...bottom line is, well past the drinking age.

*Digda shrugs* That only reinforces my theory anyway... *to which Jani sighs, then starts to get a considerably annoyed expression accompanied by a* rrrgh.... *though she calms down and asks* ...by the way, old man, what is this ceremony you keep speaking of?

*recalling Jani's earlier spooked reaction at the dojo, Digda simply states* It's...a coming of age ceremony. Let's just leave it at that.

Belladonna: "I haven't had to visit it, so I wouldn't know either. Is there a map we could use? Actually, hold that thought a moment."

*Bella flies off for a moment, returning with a folded piece of paper. She opens the paper and examines it.*

Belladonna: "There we are. Now then, the triage in relation to our current position should be..."

*Bella points toward a doorway and starts for it.*

Belladonna: "This way! Come along now, Eliot!"
