She looks back at the children. "Sorry, Cyk and Wrench are... well, they're not all there, you know? What your mom says is right, though. She's okay now!"

Hearing the tot's question, she responds. "Well... we haven't seen each other for a long time, but we've been hanging out a lot lately."

*while the tot keeps asking banal questions to the random humanmons, Mauveine strolls over to the group with a sarcastic grin, and simply asks Goobert* So, mom, when are we having dinner? You remember what we're making together, right? *as she looks straight at "her"*

[...wait...Manaphy...that name is...familiar. Yea, that's a Pokemon's name...but I got it from...yea, that manga! Or...well, it was a movie first, but...yea, Manaphy could...it could do something, it could—]

"Heart Swap!" [Hahaaa, wow, doesn't it feel good being late to the party. The others...the others probably already knew, actually...again, if they would've told me...]

[I approach Goobert, Finley, and the children. I look over at the more reclusive one of the bunch, or as reclusive as one can be standing in a group. Let's not get wrapped up in semantics.] "Hello, we're...we're...we're here with your mother, we're, ummm..."

[I say to Finley, affecting an accent,] "Oh, I think my, um...my head's acting up again, it's makin' my memory all...flighty...what are we here for again?"

(Then I realize what the Brionne asked me. "Craaaaaaaaaaaaaaap! I'm hosed!" I try to think of an answer that would make sense.)

Well...we did have all that seaweed in the house. We were going to use it for salad. Sorry, honey, it's been a long day.

*The figure braces themself, and a very faint pink light emits from their hiding place. Attention then shifts away from them soon enough, however, calming their nerves ever-so slightly.*

(So... They don't see me? They just choose not to bother? G-good, that's good. Shit, should I really be doing this now?)

   (Well, even with the risks at hand, it'll still be one hell of a thrill. Now who do I target first...?)   

*The figure peeks their head out and surveys the area. They let out a light growl as they spot the two children, not too keen on their presence for whatever reason. The figure points their palm out, glowing with bright pink energy, and begins shifting its aim from one person to another.*

"Yes, yes, I'd forgotten all about that...that prince, is he?" [As I smile at Goobert, I can't help but glance at the daughter...this better not be our undoing here.]

"Hm? Oh, we're here toooooo..." She looks at the kids... maybe not be specific.

"See Manaphy. Just an ordinary visit, and Belle wanted us to come along."

"I'm not mentally ill! Sure, I may have an autism spectrum disorder, but that does not mean I am crazy!"

"You said Cyk was... ruining it, did you say? I don't know what that was about."

Uh, guys, up there...

(The pink targeting system targets everyone but cannot choose one specific one.)

Well, what say we start heading to the castle? (I ask the others, trying to change the subject.) The day isn't getting any younger.

(I begin heading that way. I'm still internally screaming. "AUGH! I DON'T KNOW HOW TO BE A MOM! THIS IS NUTS!" I'm really looking forward to getting my body back now, if only for this reason.)

Noriaki steps in and says, "Apologies, young one, but your mother has a matter to attend to with the prince, best sooner than later. Any and all plans outside of this, even discussion of them, is best postponed for after it is taken care of."

He bows slightly and mentions, "I am Noriaki. I work for Miss Janice and have been attending to the needs of her and your mother all afternoon, so I am aware that they are in a bit of a rush, sorry."

Andy whispers to the closest person, Nyquil, "Something is watching us. Don't panic."
