*Jani rolls her eyes, muttering* What's up with stuff-ist old folks in this town? *but doesn't want to get too involved, and simply turns to the group* I'm rooting for the iron giant.

Noriaki scoffs as he blows his feather fringe out of his face.

"Some people have no manners..."

"Yeah. Some people."

*upon finishing her fries, Jani dozes off again*

Meanwhile the Medicham and Magnemite managed to finish building the parts of the device that didn't need their powers

Magnemite: Time to activate this thing!

The Magnemite places a large circular magnetized rock with a hole in the top in it onto the ground. The Magnemite then puts another magnetized rock that's of the opposite polarity that has a metal antenna on the top and a hole on the bottom to float a few feet above the other rock. The Magnemite then shoots some electricity at the rocks, causing a line of electric to connect the two rocks.

Medicham: Now it's my turn!

The Medicham shoots some psychic energy at the electricity, causing a purple rectangular plane of psychic energy that's framed by electricity to appear.

Magnemite: Now all that's left is to turn it on!

The Magnemite takes out a block of wood with holes in it and places magnetized rocks of the right shape into the holes before zapping the holes with electricity. The Medicham then fills the space underneath the rocks with psychic energy, turning the block of wood into what appears to be a remote. The Medicham presses one of the buttons on the remote and the televiewer turns on, behaving exactly like a television.

"Oh my god! Human technology is coming!"

"Oh, uh... I see. I guess I'm more worried about us than whoever hurt Jani. Especially if someone tries to go after them, I don't want them to get hurt. So please, Eliot, if you want to do something like that, just tell us beforehand, okay? I'll come, if only to make sure everyone stays safe."

Mila feels a bit awkward saying this, but manages to get it out before they reach the fountain. It's not a terribly large creation, maybe six or seven feet in radius, but the water creates a cool spray off with the inland winds. Keeping on the opposite side of the mist, Mila clambers onto the lip of the fountain, and looks down at the water.

"Huh. Never really did get a good chance to look at my reflection. I almost feel like I should get a bandanna or something to break up the blob that is my body."

"Heh, maybe." [I walk over beside the fountain, peering in as well.] "I mean...y'never know. We could always meet another Raichu...well, one that actually looks like you."

[I chuckle.] "Or maybe they could've thought the same thing and gotten themselves a bandana, and if you would've gotten one, then what?" [I look back into the water again...for the first time, I take a good long look at my own face. It's...it's an odd feeling, I gotta say, but it looks like a Smeargle. I stick my tongue out...it's just about a spitting image. The only thing I'd say is really jarringly different are my eyes...they look kinda...bluish-purple? Something like that.]

Looking more closely at her reflection, Mila notices her eyes are a dark shade of brown now. This struck her as odd, considering the only other Raichu she'd seen was the Alolan Koss. In any case, there was nothing remarkable about her appearance, save for the notch on her tail that marked her as a female.

"Well, I suppose you could always identify us by the fact that I can sort of sing now. Unless they could too... you know, probably best not to worry about such a confusing set of circumstances. There's always the possibility of Dittos after all."

Mila produces a 50 poke coin from her cheek pouch, and examines it for a moment before tossing it into the fountain, makign sure the splash doesn't reach her. The coin seemed rather standard, the metallurgy wasn't anything too fancy given the level of tech available. Notably, there wasn't any face on the coin, though she supposed that was to be expected with how long it had been since humans were the dominant species.

"Well, want to go find a clothing store around here? Looks like you could use a backpack to carry your stuff, too."

[Seeing Mila toss a coin in, I decide to do the same, reaching for the pouch tied at my...]

[Uh, oh.] "...oh, shit, shit, shit..."

"Huh, Eliot? What's wrong?"

Mila looks over to the Smeargle, only to notice that the bag he'd had with him earlier seems to have disappeared. She immediately begins scanning the plaza frantically, trying to see if the culprit was still in view.

"Do you know when you last felt it still tied there?"

"I...I...oh, shit, I don't know...aw, f**k, aw, f**k..."

[I start frantically looking around.] "Oh, shit, oh, shit, why didn't I just...I should'nt've just kept it with me, oh, god..."

With their work finished, the Medicham sets the remote on a table near Jack. The Medicham then speaks to the customers

Medicham: Hey, if any of you would like to use this televiewer, just use this wooden device on the table to change the channel! At the moment there's only ten channels to choose from, but more are expected to be added one day!

The Medicham places a piece of paper listing the channels next to the remote and leaves with the Magnemite to set up another televiewer in a different location.

Jack looks at the remote and sees that the layout of it is the same as a normal television remote, but simplified. Jack takes a look at the piece of paper, then at the channel the televiewer was apparently on.

Jack: So, who wants to use this thing? One of the channels is a news channel, while the channel that's on right now is apparently a weather channel. And yes, they have a sports channel.

Noticing that Eliot is in a bit of a panic, Mila moves towards him and puts a paw on his shoulder. A bit awkward to do now that she's no longer the tallest of the people around her, but still feasible.

"Hey, panicking won't bring it back. Let's go look around for it, alright? Even if we don't find it, it's not like we're broke. Everyone else still has their own bit."

Admittedly, it did chill Mila to think about their future finances, but she didn't have to say that. It would hardly help to calm him down any.

"I wonder if they have cartoons that are as good as Gravity Falls."

"Huh. I'm personally surprised, I thought I just saw Jani and the Bidoof professor struggle to find Vulcanized Rubber." I say confusedly.

*Jani wakes up briefly, and then states in an unconventional way for Jani*

Oh, I'm sure it's just an illusion. I remember reading about *twinge* Television, but that psychic looks like they're getting pretty tired maintaining the facade. Also, Television has a lot of supporting infrastructure that is beyond Silversand's capabilities, I imagine. Also, it's vulcanized rubber.

*and with that, Jani goes back to sleep...at the restaurant still*
