Ah, crap. Speak of the devil? More like think of the devil. Seth snaps out of his half-aware, fumbling state to shoot Braixen a suspicious look, not wanting to say anything rude in front of royalty but very much wanting to imply he wouldn't appreciate further snideness in a situation like this.

Uh...they're from some place called Asgardia that's...gone now... (I tell Dana.)

Foxfell (Castle Clinic)

See, uh, one of our good friends was in huge trouble and Marly wouldn't rest until he was fine. (Marsha explains as she and the doctor lead him inside.) Also, the Pokémon who took him was tryin' to make Danjor Island blow up.

(The doctor gives Marsha a strange look at the story.) Look, some nutty Vespiquen nearly took over this island and turned everyone on it into Combees. How can you not buy that?

I never said I didn't! (The doctor says as they enter an unoccupied room.) I know about the Vespiquen. These are very strange times we're living in right now...

(He directs Marlon to sit down on the edge of the bed in the room.) May I take this cast off, sir? (He asks Marlon.) I just want to look at your leg.

The North Wing

Yeah. Good thing word travels fast around here. But trust us when we say there's at least another five or so levels that make up this just, one giant interconnecting story about what we had to go up against with the Vespiquen and the Gorebyss. But we count our lucky stars that we got out of it.

And then I feel like wanting to unthank them when I hear he wants to examine my leg. I start to feel a crescendo of nerves begin to build again, because of the possibility of having my leg be infected. I have no choice here.

Uh, s-sure you can.

If the doctor would pay close enough attention as he goes to pull the cast away, he would indeed notice the telltale sign of infection building on the wound, mainly in the form of the wound now being more red and inflamed than usual. My heart skips a beat upon seeing this.

Oh shit....shit shit shit.

"Sorry for the lack of an introduction. I am Princess Ariana del Brynhildyr of the ancient Kingdom of Asgaurdia. Aria curtseys while introducing herself, "I can with a bit of sad news and a dire warning. Do you wish to hear them now or later, your ladyship?"

I hang back until adresses or we move, though I keep an eye out for any sign of trouble.

"Warning? Now, yes, please."

Autumn can't help but stare as Aria speaks. She's not sure if she fully believes it yet, but worry can't help but grip her. Things have been on a dangerous turn lately, and she fears for what might happen if that danger follows her friends back to Foxfell once more. Though she still needs to hear what exactly this warning supposedly is.

"The warning I bring is this: Beware the Winged Army, lead by a 'vector' calling himself Ragnarok." Aria warns Autumn withma solemn tone that still carries a hint of danger.

I kneel, then begin to speak; "The Viral Agression he carries brought down my lady's kingdom.

Foxfell (Castle Front)

Oh, wonderful, there's at least one more vector out there somewhere... (Delilah groans, overhearing what Daniel has said.)

Foxfell (Castle Clinic)

Uh...that doe'nt look good.... (Marsha says.)

No, absolutely not! (The Braixen doctor says.) We need to get you to the hospital immediately or you will have even more problems!

(He disappears down a hallway for a moment and returns holding one end of a stretcher (with a Chansey holding the other end of it).) Please lay down here and we will be off.

The North Wing

Aaaaahhhhh, shit. I knew this was coming. I feel the nerves tick up even more as I climb aboard the stretcher and prepare to be shuttled off to the hospital. Nerves (and pain) enough to where I feel almost on the verge of tears yet I feel relatively calm as I lay onto the stretcher.

This....please promise me this won't get any worse...

Foxfell Castle

"Is that... a threat, or? We've had to deal with vectors here before, but I haven't heard of any new ones attempting to make their way here..."

Autumn continues to watch the two with concern. She can't tell how to feel given these individuals that she hasn't heard of before bringing this warning. She wants to take it seriously, but without background knowledge of where they're from and the scale of the threat they're suggesting, she feels like she still needs more. At least she hopes that the others can find their way to what they need in the palace in the meantime.

"It is not a threat, but more of warning to keep you kingdom safe from them. I lost my own due to that hellish bird bringing that foul virus in the kingdom which has held something from the time of humans." Aria sounded a little upset. "Sorry for the out burst."

I say nothing to futher confuse the Royal Braixen.

(You've got to be kidding me. We busted our asses to stop not one, not two, but three magic-using crazies, and now we have a vector to worry about. Is this group a magnet for psychopaths? I made my thoughts known.) If we know next to nothing about them or where they're headed, there's not much we can do. Sorry, but we can only do so much.

"Another Vector..."

"I am sorry, but if you have no idea where he is, for the time being we can only keep our eyes peeled for this nefarious flier you speak of" said Noriaki, "But we can promise at least that."

How easy is it to miss a big black army of death birds? Braixen notices the absol's glare but chooses to ignore it. She's just about out of her shock stage now.

...more words he doesn't know.

"Okay, so. Pardon my absolute ignorance on literally everything, but what's a Vector, when it's at home? If it can level an entire kingdom I'm presuming it's something quite bad."

Foxfell (Castle Clinic)

It won't get any worse if we can treat this infection as soon as we possibly can! (The Braixen says.) Let's go.

(The Braixen and Chansey assistant leave the clinic carrying Marlon, with Marsha following close behind.)

Foxfell (Castle Front)

To make a long story short, it's someone who is carrying... something that makes Pokémon act very angry and aggressively. (Delilah explains to Seth.) Most people we've met call it the Viral Aggression. We saw someone with it try to infect mine and Marsha's town several weeks ago.

(The more I hear about this guy and his cronies, the more I begin to feel inadequate in my abilities as a Goodra. I feel like every time I've gotten in a fight with a vector since this all started, I've been knocked out just like that. And even when it hasn't been a vector, I've ended up getting defeated just like that, like with Phoebe. Gosh, just thinking about her makes me shudder...)

(Before I can keep dwelling on that, though, I see Marlon and Marsha already coming back from the north wing...and Marlon's on a stretcher. What's going on?) Umm...

Foxfell Front Hall

My recent events-induced fragile state of mind breaks once I feel myself getting carried back into the front where the others are. It hits me. I could've died if this went on anymore than it did. It's finally starting to come back together again. This gung-ho style of fighting, I can't really go on like this. Trying to do this while crippled was a mistake. It nearly killed me this time.

Guys...I....my leg...hospital...

I feel the emotions (and pain) rush in as I burst into tears. I realize now more than ever that I need these guys more than I've ever had. My way of doing things, it needs to change somehow. For my sake, and everyone else's.

I...what have I done? I could've died...can't do it like this anymore...

I fumble my hand around to try to grab hold of Marsha's, as the tears just stream.

Not really understanding (or caring about) all the Thor jargon or whatever, I notice Marlon come back looking absolutely miserable…
It's that bad? Damn, I thought Hikari's abilities could've at least done something. Did they just not work, or…?

Hikari held a claw close to her chest as she and Noriaki watched Marlon pass by, crying on the stretcher.

"Poor boy... Heal Pulse is effective at stabilizing damage, but it needs to be maintained. For such a severe injury especially, it would have been better if he didn't push himself and sought a doctor sooner."

"I suppose that is just how Marlon goes about his way, for better or for worse" said Noriaki, holding his hat to his chest. "But it sounds as if he's re-thinking that. Painful, I know. But he'll move past it and come out wiser."

(When I looked at Marlon as he's carried away, I lowered my head. Just like how I was when I first fought L'Arachel: broken, hopeless. Seeing that out of Marlon, a guy willing to take a bullet for us, it's just... I'm not sure if words can describe it. Whole damn thing made me feel powerless. All I can do now is just watch and listen and hope that this whole thing doesn't get any worse.)

I've trying to located the flock, but I've had no luck. However, he seems to visit place of historical value as if he's searching for something. I state to quell some questions.

(Geez, is that what Marlon's leg look like?) I'm a like squiked out by the sight of the leg, as I've always been by those kinds of things.

Well, shit, another thing out there waiting to kill him. If they wanted this world to seem like a friendly, accommodating place, they're doing a piss poor job so far.

Seth's contemplation on how objectively fucked he is gets interrupted by the entrance of Marlon. The sight of the Gallade's leg causes Seth to flinch back, the parts of him that aren't already white seeming to visibly pale. The subsequent emotional breakdown only heightens Seth's own distress, so that the Absol now looks ready to turn tail and run as far away from the scene as he can.

Foxfell (Castle Front)

(I think this is the first time since this all started that I've ever seen Marlon so upset to the point of tears. It makes me feel really upset that this ended up happening to him.)

Oh, dude, h-hang in there, man, keep us posted! We'll come by as soon as possible. (I tell him.)

Yeahs! We'll keep yas all posted! (Marsha says. They keep going out of the castle.)

(I plunk down onto my haunches.) Man, this is awful, guys...I hope whatever is wrong with Marlon's leg isn't too serious...

(The thought of Marlon outright losing one of his legs briefly enters my mind, and I quickly try to shove it out. Surely it's not going to be THAT serious, right...?)

(Meanwhile, Delilah notices the increasing panic on Seth's face.) Seth?

Dana winces a little as Marlon passes by.

"A new vector, Marlon's leg... We can't catch a break can we?"

It is at this point I really just let the emotions flow. I nearly died for this. I nearly lost my only friends, the group I consider my brothers and sisters. I hope this all goes well....I continue to feel the tears flow as I get escorted out.

Shit shit shit, did this really affect him badly enough to get people worried? God no, he doesn't deserve that kind of attention, the poor sod with the decimated leg does!
