(I lean a little closer to Marsha and brace myself to enter the room-not too hard, just ready in case something is wrong.)

Well, here goes.

(I say, waiting for Autumn to reveal her parents to us.)

"… Okay…" I reply, a little sad. "Mo- Ms. Autumn…" I wait for someone else to open the door.

Foxfell, near Hayes' Odds-n-Ends

Before they quite reach the store, Yukio turns to reply to Sarah.

"Perishables are our best bet. You'll find edible berries in the forests if you're lucky, but even then you can't guarantee they haven't been soiled by the... locals."

Seeing the store, he then addresses the party as a whole.

"Alright, so what is it you're each going to need?"

Treasure Hunters

I mean, food's important, isn't it? (Cam asks.)

[Ten thousand years? Goddamn... I feel the weight of those ten thousand years over me as we stop in front of the door. Not that metaphor really...means anything, it was just kinda something that came to mind, felt appropriate.]

[I glance down at Lucy, let out another deep, smoky breath.] "Y-yea...this'll be fun." [Seeing as everyone else is waiting so patiently for it, I take the initiative to open the door, pushing it forward, slowly but surely. As I do, I peer in...]

(Shit, it's been that long since humans? No wonder those ruins looked old. Still, it's impressive that this tech lasted this long, albeit with some wear and tear. I see the lizard poke his head in and I followed, keeping my composure in check. Hopefully, Autumn, or whatever she wants people to call her, wasn't embellishing her parents, or at the very least their rule.)

Hayes' Odds-n-Ends

The cheapest food I can find...totally...and a couple ropes are what I'm getting. Can't really afford much else... *Sarah says, before browsing the wares...she then asks the Herdier* I'm looking for like...price cheapness and junk... *her diction clearly not returning yet, then she says* ...what do you have that's cheapest by the kilogram?

(Lucy peers in alongside Eliot.)

Well, no turnin' back now... (Marsha says, a bit quietly.)

Treasure Group

(Hayes turns to see the large party walking up.) You're lookin' fer low prices? (He asks. His voice is slightly quiet and has a slight southern drawl (though not as pronounced as, say, Benji's natural speaking voice.) Well, you've come to the right place. One of 'em, anyway. Anyway, I sell Berries for cheap here. Get 'em from a small farm outside of town. Cheapest by the kilogram? Well, Wikis are about 2500 a kilogram right now. Can I start ya with that, or are ya lookin' fer somethin' else?

"Okay..."

She opens the door, clearly worried herself.

And sure enough, in the room is two large thrones. And sitting on those thrones are two elderly looking Delphoxes, with notably long ear tufts. The king in particular's tufts seem to reach down to the floor, almost.

King Winter and Queen Summer. Rulers of Foxfell.

"... Mom... Dad..."

"... Autumn...?" The Queen says, clearly shocked. "You're... y-you're back?"

The Queen jumps from the throne and leaps at Autumn in a very tight hug, as the King gets up and approaches, joining the hug.

"Who are these friends of yours?" The King asks.

Noriaki kneeled respectfully as the group entered the presence of the king and queen.

"I am honored to be in your presence, Your Majesties", he said, "I am known as Noriaki."

[Seeing them, I can't help but let out a giant sigh of relief, free of any smoke this time. I can't help but smile when...Autumn goes to hug her parents. In fact, I think I'm crying a little... I decide to let the others go forward and introduce themselves first as I try and compose myself.]

"N… Niles…" I reply. I'm very tempted to say 'your grandson,' but I get the feeling I shouldn't.

*Sarah's face goes a paler shade of purple upon hearing the prices* (2500 a kilo...that's like, $11/pound...not to mention all the wasted water content normally found in fruit.) *and remembering that her funds are down to a meager 1200, she asks* Uh err...let's change the subject for a moment, what about ropes? please tell me ropes are affordable...

Mila stands back while Autumn has her reunion, not wanting to do something to ruin it for her. When her father raises the question of who they are, however, Mila responds almost instinctively, having wondered in the back of her mind what she'd tell them since getting on the boat to Foxfell.

"Mila. I'm, or I guess we're, the mons she came across on Denalsi. We've been sticking together, since we don't really have anywhere else to be. Well, except for your daughter, of course. I guess you could say she's my closest friend."

Though she tries to keep a more formal tone when addressing them, the fear of being in the moment causes her to struggle, taking each phrase slowly to ensure she doesn't trip over her words or imply things she doesn't mean to. Here most of all she can't mess up, for Autumn or the group's sake.

(I just barely manage to catch myself from crying out "WHOA!" when I see the king and queen...particularly over how long their ear tufts are. I don't think even Darnell's were that long and I'm guessing that he's only about ten years younger than Autumn's parents.)

Uh...h-hi... (I say, stepping inside the room.) I'm...uh...I'm Goobert S-...Scales...I'm a friend of F-...Autumn's. Sorry if I'm kinda nervous, I'm just not used to being around royalty. (Well, there is Manaphy, then again, but even that gets a little crazy when he's having a bad day.)

Delilah Langley. (Delilah introduces herself.) It's a pleasure to meet you both, your Majesties. (Man, Delilah sure is holding herself together better than I am.)

Hi! I'm Lucy! You're Ms. Autumn's parents and your king and queen? That's so cool!! (Lucy chirps, nearly running up to them before Marsha quickly holds the young Riolu back.)

Easy, kiddo! (Marsha says, looking up at Autumn's parents.) Uh, Marsha Guilford. Nice ta meet da two of yas.

Oh, those are 500 Poké a foot. (Hayes tells Sarah.)

(Cam shakes her head.) Gosh, Sarah, not even my store sold Berries for that much...

It's unlikely the rulers of Foxfell have met many people who react to royalty as impassively as Róisín. Her expression is as cold and distant as usual as she decides to join in with the name-sharing.

"Róisín O'Keeffe. I s'pose it's an honour to have an audience with royalty."

(Jeez...even the rope is expensive. Usually would add up to about 80 cents a foot back home...) *Sarah then grins awkwardly and backs out of the store...then falls into a dejected heap* Guess I'll be foraging...

Throne Room

*the sisters enter the throne room and Tilly immediately offers a respectful bow...then noticing her sister staring in awe, she underground-nudges Lilly who then herself bows*

"And I assume you helped her when she was lost... you have our thanks, travelers." The King does a small bow, before looking to Róisín. At first he gives a sort of menacing gaze... one that breaks into a chuckle. "I like you! You're the type who doesn't quite care about authority. That's good. Unhealthy when a country is just blind followers."

The Queen smiles at everyone. "We're so thankful to have you all stop by! But why are you here at all?"

"Well... is everything okay?"

"... Whatever do you mean?"

"I had dreams you were in danger. I came all this way to make sure everything was safe. Is everything alright?"

"... Well... our closest advisor turned out to be planning an assassination... but we already took care of that!"

"... Huh?"

"Well, I get the feeling she helped me more than— huh?"

Mila cuts herself off when the mention of an assassination is made so offhand. She's curious, but at the same time she can already feel the same emotions as from Slak Rock clawing at the back of her mind. As much as she knows they're probably trying not to worry the group, recent events can't help but to set her off balance.

"H-how do you mean 'took care of that'?"

(Ooooooh shoot...) Well...uh, wow, good thing you got that taken care of, right? (I say to them. Gosh, imagine what a mess it would have been if that had been what we were getting into coming here.)

Assassination? What's that? (Lucy asks.)

Um...we'll tell you later, Lucy... (Delilah tells the Riolu.)

Dang, Marly, not sure I want ta hear about anotha one 'a dose afta Slak Rock... (Marsha whispers to Marlon.)

Hey, don't be too down, Sar, maybe there's somewhere less pricey around here? (Cam offers.) Not like this place is the only place to get supplies around here.

(I introduce myself to the monarchy, with a causal tone.) Grigori Vergil Strel. An owl of no consequence really. (I've met with royalty before I got here, sometimes with and sometimes against. Come to think of it, I did meet with people from many different walks of life: royalty, politicians, criminal bosses, warlords and private armies, even a concerned citizen every once in a while. The point is, I've seen plenty enough to not be fazed by many things. Well, keyword being many if the Frenzy were any indication, but that's not important now.)

(What's important is what they said about an assassination attempt. That got me to ask.) Who would do this sort of thing and why?
