ITT: We Have All Become Pokémon

-Milo pauses, then pokes with a paw-

I tuck in my legs and roll myself bpforward so when I tuck them back out I am already standing up straight I then look towards the umbreon and sighs. "Hello, I am James. Please don't do that again."

...I'm Milo and I won't.

"Good." With that I follow the rest of them towards the beach.

Marlon, Marsha

(We begin to both head on to the beach with the others.)

[I walk along as well, clutching my bagstrap as I had been earlier. There is something peculiar about Sarah, perhaps alluring to an extent. Maybe it's her musing about VA that intrigues me, but I can't quite place my draw otherwise. It's certainly not romantic, I get that much...maybe it's just the pleasant insatiability of her character.]

"...y'know, continuing off of the whole Pokéball thing, Voltorbs're pretty big...a'don think you'll have much trouble finding out which is which, heh." [Actually, I may be thinking of their evolution...though even then, from the art I've seen of Voltorb, they haven't been tiny, certainly not as small as a Pokéball...wait, fuck, we had a Voltorb with us, didn't we? I don't fucking know...]

At the docks, a noticeably sizable boat is manned by a six-man strong squadron of Slaking militia. At the helm, a familiarly bespectacled Slakoth and a ripped Teddiursa, conversing with a Hitmonchan and Caterpie. Neighboring the ship, a Wailord.

-Milo also follows-

I nervously follow the others "So um, how long exactly are we going to be on a ship? I'm not sure that I do so well in ships..."

[Okay wow, that sounded so bad. A Piplup that gets sea sick? No no no, uh, say something else]

"By that I mean... When I was human I would get sick at sea really bad. But maybe since I'm a Piplup that has changed? *gulp*"

"Look, I..." Finley gets up and begins dragging Mila by the hand.

"We gotta go now, alright?"

Quickly, she follows behind the others.

Marlon

I think you guys are actually referring to Electrodes. You know, they are like Voltorb but much bigger and reverse color schemes.

(I tell Eliot and Sarah.)

I don't know, dude. I hope it's just a nighttime trip over.

(I tell Light.)

(As we get closer to the docks we see that the scammers are there again.)

Streets to Docks -> Docks

*"Sarah" too is headed along, duffel pack securely closed and slung around her shoulder, still a bit amazed most of the party has managed to like...keep their things without any kind of underground storage or anything else...thoughts again start to stray toward their methods, which are graciously interrupted by Eliot's words of wisdom, as well as Marlon's addendum*

So, you're saying they're like...smaller than a Voltorb? Alright, though...I've totally thought about it and I'll probably just ask first anyway. Wouldn't want to mess that up, y'know? *she shrugs off the notion anyway, figuring it is pretty unlikely...not impossible, but unlikely*

*she then asides to James, saying quietly* Oh, one thing about that archaeologist...he's like, super terse. You might have to like ask detailed questions to have any luck with him...

Lilly

*Lilly's already at the docks even before Andy. She dirt-waves to everyone and says* Heeeeeeey! Glad y'all can make it!! *before joining them on board*

Tilly

*Cart!Tilly also made good time, and she boards the ship on-cart*

Richard and Lucille's

*having delivered the other packages, the courier heads at last to the Garlands' mansion after the humanmons leave. A knock can be heard on the door, along with a* H-hello? Is this the right address? *she recites the address* I have a special delivery!

*if someone were to open the door, they would see female Farfetch'd, saluting with her stick*

"Even an archaeologist, you guys seem to have a lot of roles covered." I say as we all approach the docks. "My first time on a boat is gonna be as a pokemon in another world. Best part is I'm a golett so there is no chance of me being sea sick."

"Right, right."

Mila follows as best she can, noting that she spaced out once more, probably from the sickness giving one last gasp of symptoms for the night. Once they're at the ship, though, Mila finds a quiet place to sit, and faces Finley head-on.

"Finley, I saw how stressed you were today. Don't worry about what might have happened, alright. Let's just focus on what's here now. Like the water rocking the ship."

As she says this, she goes quiet and tries to listen for the rhythm of the waves, weak due to the tide but still present, shifting the ship slightly underfoot with each motion.

Boat

Dieter gets on board as well, being sure to stay near the ship's interior.

Sarah -> Boarding Ship

*"Sarah" nods to Marlon, albeit with a slight snicker, as she boards the ship. She turns to James to say* Reading about it and living it are like...two different things. That body totally has to function somehow, so don't be surprised if something weird happens...y'know?

Come to think of it, though...I don't really know where I fit in, not yet... *harkening back to an earlier conversation, she remarks* It's not like I've ever actually picked locks, and you guys totally aren't relic hunters, but I've like...lived a pretty ordinary life for a traveler up until now...

Richard and Lucille's

Ah, you're not a...mmm... *the courier pulls out a little card with instructions, and states* Oh, s-sorry sorry — it's not for you. I thought a um...Braixen named Finley might live here? *Finley's name is indeed on the package — though oddly, there is no return address of any kind*

[I stare at our two employers as I board the ship...I get the distinct feeling I'm giving them a stinkeye and I honestly couldn't care less about it. Leaning against the railing of the boat, I ask Sarah,] "So y'went to uni, eh? What was yer degree?"

Marlon, Marsha

(We settle down somewhere near the middle of the boat. Marsha tightly grips my hand as we settle in.)

Richard

She's with a group of drifters who I think are off to Slak Rock. I'm going there too on assignment tomorrow, though. Want me to hold on to this?

(He asks.)

"I thinok I already didone weird thing by putting a pizza inside of me and it just burned within seconds. I guess it's my core." I say placing my hand over my crest.

(Or it could just be my soul or something. Though why does a soul burn?)

When Sarah seems to start talking herself down I just shrug as I board the ship. "Fitting in is pointless if you don't know the picture. Don't try to think to hard. When it comes, it'll come so fast you won't have time to blink."

*"Sarah" nods to James, cracking a smile she remarks* Words of wisdom from the new guy, y'know? Maybe you can be the team optimist — though now that I've said it I'll totally find out that role has been filled.

*turning to Eliot...she was expecting this question eventually. Her earlier internal debates on the subject settled on one thing: Don't overextend. No biology, no botany, nothing wilderness related...which sucks because she had some wilderness object as a human. Having earlier decided there's one topic she does have some passing knowledge on, she declares to Eliot* Music studies... *but then downplays it heavily* ...but, like...I learned I totally wasn't cut out for it...plus I was high most of the time...

I guess I'm like, more into following music than composing music...

Richard and Lucille's

*Mixy shakes her head rapidly* N-no no no no no, I have uhm...EXPLICIT... *she starts twirling her stick as she recalls from memory* ...instructions to deliver it to this woman, at this precise time and date, here...this package from, err... *getting a sheepish look, she admits* ...well, that's classified...and um...if she isn't here...

*her lower beak drops* SLAK ROCK?! That's way too far to fly...but um... *she cradles the package defensively* No no...it's for Finley, and Finley only. *she looks up to Richard and asks* C-can I still make it to them on time?

"Thanks." I say, feeling like I should be blushing right now but know that I can't anymore. "Beats just being all emo you know?" When I hear Sarah talk about music it suddenly clicks that I will never be able to listen to my music or any new soundtrack coming out ever again. "Aww man, I'm gonna miss The Seatbelts... And the pillows... And... Well loads more. If there was one thing I could bring into this world with me it would be my mp3."
