I know it was discussed and clean-up before, but it turn into a mess, again.

As with the previous clean-up thread, the same problems are back. Some of the examples are more fanfic than reality. Things like having a cameo of a character in one episode or one comic does not make it a shared universe. You need much more than that to ship shows into a share universe, even made by the same creator. Let’s see some cases:

  • Warehouse 13 and Eureka share a universe with Alphas.
ZCE, no reason given why this is as such, do they have crossover episodes? I’ve only watch Eureka and don’t remember even a mention of the other two shows.

  • The Nanny shares a Universe with Everybody Loves Raymond which also shares a universe with The King of Queens.

ZCE too. In other examples is more clear (yes, Friends and Mad About You due to Phoebe and Ursula been sisters or Frasier and Cheers and all the other spin-offs and franchises) but here there’s no explanation of why the troper says they are in the same universe. Again, I only watched The Nanny and I could be missing some episode when this is explained, but that’s why Context is required.

Western Animation is probably the worst part:

  • There are various background references that indicate Gravity Falls and Rick and Morty are set in the same Multiverse. As each show is owned by a different company, this is essentially just a subtle Running Gag spawn by crewmembers of each show being friends. (Series creators Alex Hirsch and Justin Roiland are long-time friends, and each has voiced a character on the other's show.) Star vs. the Forces of Evil also includes enough background cameos by minor Gravity Falls characters that it could possibly take place on the same Earth (and in this case they're both owned by Disney), but officially they're not a shared universe.
Even the example says they are not a shared universe. Having some Easter Eggs about other shows is hardly “sharing universes”.

  • Because of this crossover couch gag on the The Simpsons where a Slurm machine can be found on an alien station native to the series Rick and Morty, depending on how canon this is, means Futurama and Rick & Morty co-exist.
Same as before.

  • In a case of What Could Have Been, Gargoyles was designed by Greg Weisman to launch one of these, featuring numerous spin-offs including Dark Agesnote a prequel dealing with the gargoyles' lives at Castle Wyvern in medieval Scotland, Time Dancernote in which Brooklyn becomes Unstuck in Time and has adventures across the course of history, Pendragonnote , Bad Guysnote , The New Olympians note , Heroes of Ulsternote starring the reincarnation of Cu Chulhain in modern Ireland and Gargoyles 2199note . With the exception of Bad Guys, which had a short-lived comic, none of these were ever made.

Maybe my English is not the best, but I don’t see what this paragraph has to do with the trope. Then it mentions a series of unmade planned crossovers which make me wonder if that is no more of the What Could Have Been than here.

This are just some of the examples. There are more but I would like to see more opinions. Some sections seems fine for me, both film sections I think are correctly depicting what is a shared universe. The main issues are in television and western animation, this last one has more fans shipping together shows they like than actual canon.

PD: My efforts to made quotes failed miserably, so I hope it still can be understood.

Some of the ZC Es are this trope, though. Eureka and Warehouse 13 had crossover episodes. But I think your point still stands.

Maybe requesting a lock after cleaning is a good idea?

Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they pretty

Might be necessary, seem like a recurrent trope in the shop.

Alright, if no one opposes I would suggest to:

1- Put %% to the ZCE until context is added (two examples, as far I can see). Probably valid examples but hard to pick just by the description.

2- Eliminate all examples based only on cameos or easter eggs, which I think are mostly on the Western Animation. This was donde before by the way.

If there's no objection I will proceed in a few days.
