Yeah, even though Fumino has been established as the lead girl by now, that's still a lot better at keeping things interesting than, say, Nisekoi where it was 100% clear that Chitoge is going to win before even chapter 1, or Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san where the main girl is also the title character. At least here it took some time to establish things.

Yo, quick question. Have they adapted this◊ wonderful little moment on the anime yet? 'cause that's all I want out of it.
Yes
E.T technically is a Isekai movieAh, wonderful! What episode was that?
newest one.
Great. Thanks.
Next chapter spoilers: Rizu's finally getting her arc.
Do you guys and gals think that part of what leads to Rizu’s arc is her growing conscious of the increasing distance between her and Nariyuki?

Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, we should find the absolutes that tie us.Man, I wish we heard more about Rizu and Fumino first meeting and their friendship prior to Nariyuki. That sounds like a cool story.
We Never Learn, where even the male MC is allowed to be cute.
That "just kidding gag" startled me. Rizu made a joke. Rizu made a joke. It's like the universe was thrown off-balance.
Maybe in a volume omake. Hopefully.
Watched the first episode.
Maaaaan. Currently I'm reading and obsessed with The Quintessential Quintuplets. It also has MC who became good at studying by sheer effort, comes from an impoverished family (complete with one missing parent and little sister who's good at household works), and becomes a tutor for a bunch of girls who are in the same grade as him and suffers from poor grades.
Obviously, I can't help myself but to compare. However, I can see that this manga has plenty of difference to make the two series distinctive.
I have a feeling I will suffer less frustrations with girls in this manga. At least they are at least excelling at some fields...
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Well, this series is a lot more episodic and comedy-focused, so you can enjoy it more leisurely. There's a tad more fanservice too.
Funnily enough, the similarities are apparently purposeful: the two authors are friends who would discuss their manga ideas over drinks. So we have two harems with a poor male tutor who wants to support his family, confirmed to marry one of five girls, purposefully skewing First Girl Wins (one by having two first girls, one by avoiding developing the obvious choice).
Yuiga isn't confirmed to marry any of the girls in his harem. Hell, who he's going to end up with is fairly obvious at this point and quite frankly hasn't been in question in ages.
It's confirmed that he'll end up with the girl who held his hand at the festival, which basically is the same as saying he'll get married.
New chap out, again centered on Rizu. It was nice to have some character moments between Rizu and Fumino independently of the male MC.
…Actually this chapter felt very… Hanayome-ish? More serious than usual.
Except for the ending where Rizu sounds suicidal.
Read last chapter.
I guess my worries were right, somewhat, Rizu is aware at least that Nariyuki and Fumino are growing closer, and she doesn't like that she can't properly act in response.
Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, we should find the absolutes that tie us.Heh, my wish has been granted, we get to see Rizu and Fumino flashback. Fumino is such a good friend, everyone should have a Fumino in their life.
Even Rizu can notice how well Yuiga and Fumino get along.
It seems Rizu situation is more serious than it looked. It's really interesting direction for her character, especially since it's something that's been in plain sight, just not noticed because it was not focused on. While Fumino follows her path because it's something she loves, Rizu has deep seated issues with herself. She feels deficient as a person and has problems dealing with it. That's some heavy stuff for a romcom.
It's not like Nisekoi's endgame was any less dramatic.
Rizu kinda got shafted here I think, arc wise.
Secret SignatureIt was good as far as developing her as a character, but did nothing for the Nariyuki/Rizu ship. I'd go as far as to say that Rizu is the one that Nariyuki has the demonstrable least romantic feelings for of the main five.
That was sweet but I feel like her strong-willed response in the flashback was almost out of character…
PS: To bury Rizu's chances a little more, the anime's first season ends on the chapter that cemented Fumino as the frontrunner.
…Also, the anime will go for another round in October.

i concede these are fair points...though after -SPOILERS FOR UNRELATED SERIES AHEAD- ookami shonen never count out the volume 4 girl totally.
