We get more information on the the anomaly that's been chasing them down the whole time...the ever-approaching, unstoppable hunger also known as John. Also Magnus has a really fun bit.

Yeah I've been feeling like these episodes are speaking for themselves, though I've gotta say I'm glad Griffin added a human face to The Hunger. I was afraid it was just going to be a horde of evil for a bit there. (my favorite minor gag in the episode was Taako spending years weightlifting while Magnus learns magic)

The Stolen Century Part 5 (of 2 lol). We meet a very familiar friend. Aphorisms by Taako really stole the show in this episode imo.

Based on prior hints I had assumed the IPRE had negotiated to take one of the voidfish with them. Apparently Magnus just up and kidnapped a child instead. Welp.

Here's a rather sad implication: the Voidfish broadcast creative works it finds good enough, but the Bureau Voidfish never did that to any of Johan's works. Does that mean Johan is not that good after all? Or is the broadcasting ability something that particular voidfish never learned?

Last episode of the Stolen Century. the last fifteen or so minutes are heartbreaking, and damn, Griffin's audio editing is on point here.

this one panel fucks me up the absolute hardest.◊ Obviously spoilers.

Lately I've been preoccupied with two separate TAZ ideas. At least when I'm not stockpiling taz links like winter is coming.

The first is thinking about a cast swap so that the IPRE peeps swap with several NP Cs that had been met throughout the Balance arc. Last time I thought about it I had decided on Sloane, Hurley, Carey, Killian, Ango, Roswell, and Magic Brian. Possibility to swap in a Lucas.

Inspired by my friend who managed to speculate that Roswell and Angus were one of the Red Robes despite blazing through the podcast at breakneck speed.

I was starting to consider which of the original IPRE would then replace who in the individual arcs and got as far as Magnus in Roswell's spot before it occurred to me that the arcs would probably have to be rewritten to better fit Magnus, Merle, Taako, Lup, Barry, Lucretia and Davenport. You can't really just jam someone into Petals to the Metal and have it be the same thing.

Idle thoughts, anyway.

My second preoccupation is that I really, really, really want to see The Adventure Zone: The Adventure Game. Either adapted from Eleventh Hour because its basically one already or taking place during one of the Stolen Cenutry loops we didn't see.

Switch between the Tres Horny Boys like the three vikings but more adventure game puzzle solving and less platforming. Talk to people, enlist the aid of the other four IPRE members, try to reach the light of creation, maybe pursue a bunch of optional side goals. Different dialogue options for each of the boys.

Not really sure how you'd do the one year time thing. Maybe its only a few days before the hungering and they've spent the year tracking down the Light of Creation and now just some inane puzzle shit stands in the way. Like, welcome to the plane of people who really like puzzles.

Basing it on Stolen Century also means you can make it episodic and cover more loops.

Anyway, it would be neat. And I've been antsy waiting for the next episode.

Double posting for some Lup thoughts.

So I'm half convinced that at some point, Lup is just going to jump out of the umbrastaff but I thought of a possibly equally possible occurrence. Lup and Taako are twins so they can put some Taako in the cloning pod and make Lup a new body. Since obviously her consciousness still exists in some form.

I think the Istus bag is gonna have something to do with it.

Oh yeah I remember being disappointed they didn't use it in the Eleventh Hour, but it's probably part of the long game. They still have that reset button item too, right?

All of this art referring the the seven as the IPRE makes me realize I forgot what that stood for after the first Stolen Century episode.

By the way, if you need something to tide you over while waiting for Adventure Zone episodes I've been passing the time listening to Friends at the Table. I'm a few episodes into COUNTER/Weight now and really enjoying it.
