[up]your opinion could have evolved. No need to get aggressive.

I'm not being aggressive. I'm just saying. And sure, my opinions can change over time but I recall that I've been pretty consistent with my views on here.

It's not that you were agressive, it's just that your way of saying was, kinda, a bit too direct/forward?

TacticalOchoa Since: Nov, 2016

Too direct/forward? I'm mostly, if not always, direct and straightforward with my opinions. I don't often hold back on my thoughts and arguments unless necessary.

[up]Then to put it as plainly as you did: do you believe I bother reading every single post in that thread and remembering the alias of every person in it? If you already stated your opinion multiple times, then I am afraid I either didn't notice or (if I did talk with you before) don't remember. I didn't want to tell you because I thought that was rude, but there you go.

It's a good thing that you express your opinion and thoughts, but you gotta be careful of the way you express them. Honesty is the best policy, but the way it's given can come off as negative to others, no offense. Ya gotta express what you think without going too strong on it, not everyone can keep up with that

Remember these shorts about alien worlds? There is part 2, sadly Upgrade doesn't get one.

There is one for Shock Rock but only in Italian.

In other news, pictures of new big villain and Forever Knights.

I thought the "slimes with bones in them" ones were creepy (anti-Goop, I guess?). Then I saw the plague doctor one. Yeesh!

Those look like the kind of things you would see in Men in Black: The Series.

That's what happens when you reduce the size of the format.

They released 35 episodes of season 2, they're even releasing 5 episodes this week in the US so that they'll be caught up for the season finale.

Speaking of reducing the format, did anyone else notice that "The 11th Alien", with the two parts put together, was almost as long as an OG episode?

Also, this is the first time the franchise ever had an episode with so many parts, I'm genuinely impressed.

Well, it turns out that the DNA for Upgrade in the Omnitrix was sentient, going by the name of Glitch, and it bonded with Ben's DNA as part of what happened in "Omni-Tricked". It filled the DNA gap this created in the watch with the Shock Rock DNA, which caused the Enhanced Forms for all of Ben's aliens.

Unfortunately, the Shock Rock DNA was a trap planned by the Shock Rock species, the Fulmini. Every time Ben uses it via turning into Shock Rock or the Enhanced Forms, a signal is sent to the Fulmini, growing stronger and stronger until it finally shows them the exact coordinates to Earth. Shock Rock goes rogue ala Ghostfreak, possessing Ben and making him construct a gateway to the Fulmini world, so that they can invade Earth.

Ben teams up with Vilgax to fight the invasion, while Gwen and Grandpa Max go inside the Omnitrix to defeat Shock Rock, and they end up meeting and teaming up with Glitch in the process. Eventually the Fulmini's leader, High Override, defeats Vilgax and sends him to the Null Void, only for Ben and his team to defeat him and send him there as well. Glitch is now out of the Omnitrix and has turned into a car, which now will be traveling alongside the Rustbucket as a new team member in Season 3.

So in short, we got the conclusion of a loose story arc that's been going on all season (Vilgax, Shock Rock and the Enhanced Alien Forms) which was a direct consequence of the Season 1 finale, a new villain (High Override, who like Vilgax is a Knight of Cerebus) and a new team member (Glitch) have been introduced, and the Null Void is now in play for this reboot.

If the Season 1 finale began Growing the Beard, the Season 2 finale finished the growth.

Hmm... and given that this season has pretty much established Zombozo, the closest thing to an archenemy in this show, has been completely Lord Hater'd and has no villain cred any more (even if he's still going), those two being sent to the Null Void means that there's a void in major baddie territory for a newer threat to fill.

Or in other words, here's hoping this leads to us finally getting Kevin.

I enjoyed the special and I liked Glitch although I would have preferred it if he didn't get trapped in the form of a car, also now that Shock Rock has gone rogue, is another alien going to replace him?

Eh, I didn't liked it as much as the first season finale. I think I will only skim trough third season once it comes out.

Don't get me wrong, it started pretty good. There was a real sense of stakes, and menace and mystery during first parts that were build-up to Fulmini attack. I also really liked scenes with Vilgax, especially when he was imprisoned. It was like better take on "Vilgax Must Croak" since rather then feeling silly and ineffectual, his presence just kept everyone on their toes. Also, this might the only time comedy actually worked with Vilgax.

But then invasion started and we went from "What's going on? Who are they? Can we stop them?" to "We can't stop them from coming? OK, it's time to punch Shock Rock forever." Fulmini are just really generic invaders who show no unique traits, single soldiers fall like they're made from styrofoam and have so little personality I thought there was some kind of hive-mind thing going on but it's unexplored, yet punching them makes most of the story. And their leader, High Override has less personality then Driscoll subtracted by Malware. (Is there a cleaner way of saying opposite of "put together"?) Doesn't help that he stands in place for the most time.

What there is interesting going on? Ok, most of finale that places inside of Omnitrix, neat. But for all that matters, for the most part it could be a Fulmini ship and it wouldn't make much difference. The important things that come from this is presence of Glitch - helpful if undeveloped creature, thought I guess seeing his Upgrade powers in action was neat - and those DNA tubes which allowed Gwen and Grandpa to transform and for Ben to turn into a hybrid (which I suspect was part of some toy promotion) Eh, it's there. I know it's not much of criticism, but all these elements were done before and they were done better.

Also, I like the new take on Null Void.

Saw the whole thing. Yeah, by the end of it Glitch is basically Ship + Kevin's Car. Could be interesting depending on what ideas they're planning for it. In fact, I'd actually be highly amused if Ship literally ends up literally becoming this continuity's version of Kevin's car.

With the whole theme of Ben not knowing anything about the Omnitrix, I'm also predicting we're going to get Azmuth next season.
