You pretty much summed it up.

Otherwise, and to reiterate my previous question, what role do you think Izabella would have if she somehow survived?
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo.I only skim Mangastream comments but yeah, I saw a lot of Internet cynicism, which probably means I should stop skimming them. I love characters like Norman, after all. As much as I don't like the "how dares Emma care about something I don't care about" attitude, I would hate it way more if the story ended up making Norman fail just to push the usual shonen "cynicism and prudence are wrong, always go for the best, lowest-chance scenario!" message.
Norman's plan is based on the assumption that the demons will simply starve if the farmed human meat supply is cut off. There's one problem with this: there's another large source of human meat, namely Norman's own stronghold. What's his plan to fend off an attack by a hoard of starving demons?
It IS (mostly) true though. Like, demons are designed from the ground up to be impossible to deal with any other way. This is no way comparable to real-life genocide and should never be conflated with it - the situations are far too different.
The fact that their exists an alternative to eating human meat only makes them worse. That guy with Musica outright wants to hunt humans. They're also much more powerful than humans, and if they have human intellect they're far more dangerous.
Like, I don't think Emma is an idiot and Musica proves demons don't have to be bad. But any possibility other than genocide has been ruled out based on the current information.
The other (realistic) option is to just not try to fix the problem and prioritize their own survival, which would be the most practical but also the least idealistic.
I think that's the idea of making the demons resort to infighting so they don't have the strength for that.

I don't really see how it makes them worse when most of them don't know about it. The royalty/nobility intentionally tried to kill off everyone who know/used the method to not need to eat humans.
I'd also doubt that most of them are actually aware of the conditions humans are kept in, or, even further, even know humans are sapient.
There obviously are some real difference between genociding human populations, and I understand why Norman and his group have come to the conclusion that they have. But, I don't think the parallels are as different as implied.

So at the very least they need to kill off all of the nobility and everyone involved for any hope of change.
And then it's a matter of combing the remaining population not to eat humans. It's true we don't know how they feel, but that makes them a huuuuuuge risk.
It also depends on Musica alone being able to sustain the entire demon population.
And this is their only method of killing off the nobility, who absolutely need to die.

Emma sounds like she wants to keep the nobility around to use their blood to make other demons like them. Would certainly make the process faster, anyway, but would obviously require force.
After that, you could talk about executing them or something, though I doubt she'd like that. Still, she's shown herself to be willing to kill when it's absolutely necessary, but she wants to look at every possibility before that.

I mean fundamentally the problem with demons isn't just that they need to eat humans to survive, but that getting human intelligence also has them act like humans.
From Nobility, the Rich refusing to give way to a better system because it'd mean losing their power, the way they mass produce and take care of animals for farms, persecuting demons who threaten their power, etc. They pretty much embody a number of terrible things humans likewise do on a daily basis. Minervas brother and the humans under him even profit from this system just as much.
In fact one animal, specifically, cows, helps worsen the environment but because we like eating their meat, milk, and cheese despite a good chunk of humanity being lactose intolerant we're not going to change our ways.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. If I understand it correctly, even if they just had Musica to start with the more demons that drank her blood, the more who would be able to spread it themselves. So it’s not reliant on just her.
Mind you, I do have a feeling that Sonju’s going to give them a bit of a nasty shock, should they run into him again.
Oh God! Natural light!Emma outright said that getting rid of the Nobility is fine, but the new nobility should not be taken out so the blood can be given to the rest of the Demon Populace.
Chapter's out.
I think I'm repeating myself by now, but I really like how manga is being mature about the thing they are doing. Like its not just "You are wrong and we are ethically right" or such, its "I need to do this or I won't be happy with results"
Hmm, so what are they doing at the end?
I've reread chapter 101, and they did indeed mention that the entrance was "nowhere and everywhere", but I don't think they ever mentioned a blood ceremony under the moon…

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Man, Ray just been reduced completely to Emma's sidekick, didn't he?
Its been like that sibce the escape. Makes it pretty clear how he was supposed to die.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. It definitely feels like he outlived his character arc.

Imagine how much deeper the current conflict would cut if Ray had died in his sacrifice back then...
Oh hey, demon royalty finally showed up
Uh, wondering if queen is same type of demon as Musica or if thats just result of all the eating of her clan plus humans
Huh… Hopefully Emma and Ray won't have to give an arm or a leg to meet the Truth. >.>
I'm not really surprised that the Queen looks so human (apparently being 3m tall aside). Depending on how long she's been on the throne, she might have gotten the biggest share of the miracle blood.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. They already gave an ear, so they should be fine.
Let's hope they don't have too much trouble sealing the Door to DARKNESS.
Secret SignatureSo it looks like all of the Goldy Pond group were all members of the high nobility, and Lewis was the Queen's younger brother if I'm reading this right? I have a feeling that the family members are going to be chomping at the bit to get after Emma and Ray when they find out about them.
What are comments on other places regarding the situation like? I imagine there's a lot of "Emma's just an idiot", "The only good demon is a dead demon" "genocide really is the answer" type stuff that's kind of trolling but also mostly serious.
