Timeskip

-After many hours of mustering up the will to get out there (i.e. convincing each other this isn't an elaborate prank), you guys have gotten to the planet that this note originated from-

-Do you land right at the coordinates provided, or somewhere close by where you can feasibly park your landing aparatus?-

-Oliver makes the rather pragmatic suggestion of scouting out the co-ordinates before landing, to see if there is a landing zone there-

-Well Oliver, you don't see much civilization around, so an actual landing strip is out of the question. But it looks like there's enough open space near that lake that you could probably land your vehicle without crashing and burning-

Oliver: ...huh.

Well, I guess we could land there.

-scratches head-

>Land?

Y/N

Lisa: Y. I mean, yes.

-Oliver looks around the inside of the ship at a few places, though it sorta looks like he's looking past the hull, at something else-

-God only knows what's caught his eye-

-After a few seconds of peering into the void like that, he groans-

Oliver: Fuck it, I've waited for long enough. Let's just put her down already so we can go earn our cash.

Oliver: -to Suzu- It's going to be the hardest thing all of us have ever done. Specifically because you asked just now.

Lisa: Well, I'm ready!

Ground Level

-Merv was having a good day. A nice, calm, relaxing day, just fishing for giant carp to bring back for dinner. Life is good for a goblin. Little worries, aside from...that...but otherwise a pretty good day-

-And then suddenly...he noticed a strange, sudden breeze. A breeze strong enough to blow away the straw hat he spent a good long while making. The breeze was accompanied by a strange large shadow that seemed to be getting bigger by the moment. Which is weird, because shadows belong at night. And there's only suntime out here-

-Merv looked up, wondering what the fuss was all about-

-A massive aloft iron body, flying like the giant hawk and floating like a dandelion upon the breeze but somehow obviously too shiny and heavy to be either, is coming down over the field above you like a massive foot ready to crush an ant-

-Merv reacted the only logical sane way a goblin could-

-Total, complete, blind & deaf, shirt-pulling, pantaloons-destructing panic-

Now also Ground Level

-You all manage to land safely in the field. Compared to the technological wonders and barren wastelands you have had to constantly deal with in this line of work, this untamed wildness around feels almost novel. Heck, it feels really nice out here. Most of you feel invigorated, like the very air itself was filled with life-

-You may notice some kind of green blur running off accompanied by a scream, but it's not running TOWARDS you, so it's probably not a threat-

-In thy immediate surroundings are a lake, several trees near the lake, and a very poorly built dirt road with a sign-

-Looks around-

-Then looks back into the ship-

Oliver: This is where we're supposed to land, right?

Suzu: Yup.

-As a reassurance, the coordinates on your star map were correct. This is the area you were told your client is at-

-...But there is a fair chance you might need to readjust your expectations regarding the locale-

Oliver: ...I don't think we're getting paid.

-Starts heading towards the house-

Roy: "...At least the place look nice to look at, right?" >_>

"...Oh who am I kidding, this smells like a scam."

-I think you need some better eyes, Oliver, because there's no house. How could anyone live in a completely empty nature-filled place like th-

-Oh, what do you know. You actually can see a house. Several of them, in fact, up that really old dirt road. These houses do not look very well-built or sturdy, or...much like a home a normal human would live in. But they have a kind of homely appeal to them. The kind you get after a family's lived in it for five generations-

-If you want to opt to, you can roll a d20 and test your Perception-

-Nope, nothing odd about those houses, no siree-

-You see movement as one of the doors opens and closes. You see someone super...super old, green, and covered in a lot of stifling clothing very slowly walking towards you while supported by a staff. A face covered in wrinkles and greener than pea soup, bundled up in a plethora of garments that were clearly patched by hand, the ancient creature moving out of the dilapidated house and into the front lawn(?) looks almost like someone mixed together Yoda with your collection of Christmas sweaters from grandma-

-Well, Oliver, you have approached the wizened creature. It's staring right at you...at least, you think it's staring at you. It's squinting so hard it's a bit hard to tell, but you feel confident in saying it's making eye contact with you-

-Oliver is bopped on the head with the staff in response-

-The creature than speaks to Oliver in a very old and croaky voice...although to everyone but Oliver, all they hear is something that sounds like a drunk Russian trying to curse in German-
