(@Auron) Hastur: Hm? "Spira"? ~rubs his chin and looks aside, his eyes perpetually squinting~ Can't say I do, indeed. ~hears the splashing from the streets and sees a man sinking his head in a trough~ See? Told ya, really desperate. This one even tries to drown himself!

-The girl named Asagi notices the man sticking his head in the trough...and blinks for a bit, and decides that as desperate for water as she feels, she's not yet on the level of a horse. Quietly wishing the man well, she kicks the door to the saloon open and stumbles on in. She sits at the counter and asks for a tall glass of...-

Asagi: Milk, please.

-After being stared at by the bartender, she sighs and says-

Asagi: Just give me whatever. >.<

-She glances at Hastur as she waits for her drink-

Asagi: I think he was just raised in a barn. ._.;

Auron: -to Cindy and Hastur- "Hmph, thought so. That's...unfortunate."

-after a moment's thought, and a flash of annoyance on his face, he places another gil on the table, ordering another glass of "Moogle piss"-

-he then glances over his shoulder at the man sticking his head in the water, and shakes his head; to Hastur- "...That man's getting water. You would know if he were trying to drown himself. Trust me."

Cindy: I'm from....a rather far away planet, myself.

(@Asagi) Hastur: Makes sense. But who knows what did he go through. ~shrugs~ And, by the way, you shouldn't try "whatever" in places like... this one. Take something like this instead. ~points at his mug of beer, now again half-empty, then overhears Cindy~ Hmm? Far from this one? Mind telling me what system is it in? I might've heard of it, even though my place can't be called a planet, even.

Cindy: Chrysalis system.

Asagi: Uh...whysat?

Auron: -to Cindy- "Mm. I could tell. And I suppose the giant sword on my back gave me away, too."

-muttered under his breath- "Another planet, then...quite the twist to my tale."

-He takes a swig of his newfound glass of pisswater-

"...and what's a 'Chrysalis system?'"

-He takes note of the new girl that's entered and thrown her life to the whims of the geriatric bartender, as well, especially the fact that she's clearly not from around here, either.-

[Middle of Nowhere]

(The blue-haired woman◊ makes her way inside the saloon. She awkwardly smiles, and heads over to the bar.)

Cath: So... Um.

(She clears her throat.)

Cath: I'm... Kind of new here. Can anybody tell me where I am?

Cindy: Uh, it's a solar system. You know, planets, ice, nuclear fusion. All that good stuff.

(@Asagi) Hastur: Cuz you look tired and thirsty, that's why. And anything aside beer will make you even more thirsty, but just as tired. Try it, you'll see. ~offers a sip of the beer~

(@Cindy) Hastur: ...And I can say I've heard of it. It was even mapped out in Carcosa... only that I didn't bother to study the map, finding it insignificant. ~glances aside, blushing... and then notices Cath~

(@Cath) Hastur: Oooh, a Deep One! How come? ~stares, amazed~

Auron: -chuckles, unabashedly; to Cindy- "You say that like I know what any of that means."

-to Cath- "The middle of nowhere."

Roy: *Hearing about the man being desperate for water, he glaces back at the man outside then notices Cath.*

"Yep, looks to me that he went through hell out there."

@Cath "Not making this up but...your in a town called the Middle of Nowhere."

"...."

-*He noted the torn dress*

"Got into a scuffle earlier?"

-*The man's thirst has been quenched thus he rises out the through. He then grabbed a rag on his power armor to dry his hair. With that done, he puts away the rag, closes and locks up the armor like someone would do with an automobile. He then enters the saloon, expecting either ridicule or pity for this guy.*

Cath: @Roy: Er, no. It was just too hot. Just tore it so that I wouldn't die from heatstroke or something.

Asagi: ...Kayyyy.

-She drinks the swill served to her by the apathetic bartender, and doesn't seem to notice nor care that it smells like petrol-

*Cough* Myeh...doesn't even have much taste to it.

-She just dumps out the rest-

Roy: @Cath "Understandable."

"So... what brings you here?"

Liberty: *Takes a seat. Just orders a beer. Looking a bit ashamed for earlier.*

Auron: -to Cindy- "And the arrogance of youth even more dangerous."

-he takes a sip of his drink, staring her down for a moment- "I got taken here by magic. That's all I know. The fanciest thing we have looks like that machina making all the noise outside. Or...whatever you call it here."

"I'm a little out of touch, so to speak."

(@Cindy) Hastur: Hey, one can't blame a man for not having a grasp of basic astrophysics. As well as nuclear physics or any other physics... I've seen people who gasp at the sight of fire, even though Auron here is much smarter. ~he says all that without any strings attached, oblivious to possible connotations of his words, then looks at Liberty and doesn't even muffle his voice~ Oh, did he decide to drown himself in beer now? That should be a much more pleasant death.

(@Asagi) Hastur: Told ya. Maybe just some water? That Deep One over there might need some as well in this heat. ~looks at Cath, genuinely bothered by her well-being~

(She looks at Asagi, and one of her canteens. She then takes off the canteen, and offers it to Asagi.)

Cath: Would, uh, plain water taste better?

Asagi: Yeah...yeah, it would. Thanks a bajillion, lady.

-Takes a sip of the water provided by Cath-

Ah...I'm Asagi. Who're you?

Auron: -amused, again; to Cindy- "Hmph. You think you smell magic? Interesting. Interesting that you smell anything odd about me at all, actually. Most can't even tell."

-to Hastur; dryly- "Fire still surprises me, sometimes. Usually whenever someone throws it at me."

"...You're an odd one yourself, aren't you?"
