Apparently, I forgot to post this:

Hard Hitter

  • Anna Heinz, neutral, open secret, high risk
  • A TK-powered Flying Brick, one of the more powerful ones too. With a strength born of pure desperation, she actually managed to hold of Emerald in 1-v-1 long enough for her captors to obtain their objective and assist in her extraction. To note, she lacks much martial ability of her own, so she managed to hold off Emerald on raw strength and her own flight advantage. Mind, she was really pushing her limits at the time. Had she not been so desperate, and had Emerald had more time with her, she would have been overwhelmed.
    • To further elaborate, her TK is zero-range, limited to her body and things she can physically touch. She can imbue her psychic energy in an object, but it will only last a few seconds after she lets it go, normally long enough to chuck it as hard as she can.
  • Anna looks almost distressingly average. A plain faced woman who might be more described as handsome with a severe expression and short cut hair. She looks nothing like you'd expect a power house like her should.
  • Though she has no children or spouse of her own, the defining trait associated with her is that she is a family woman. Her siblings, her in-laws, her nieces and nephews, she'd do anything for them. She wants to live a normal life, enjoying such simple hobbies as reading and gardening. She has become a haunted woman, jaded by the crimes she has been forced to commit.
  • An Eastern European woman born without distinction to a family of five children. Anna developed her powers when she forgot to put her parking breaks on a steep hill, dived into her rolling car and happened to roll right into a speeding train. She should have died; she didn't. Powers born in a time of stress, she gained amazing abilities, a skin suit of her psychic will that proppeled, protected and propped her up.
    • A criminal organization got a hold of her family, kidnapping a few and putting other on crosshairs. The message to Anna was simple, work for us or they will die. For five long years she worked for them, forced to be their super powered muscle. She came to the attention of TALOS after a large spectacle of a fight against Emerald.
    • In a surgical strike, Anna's family was freed from their captors and placed under protective custody. Once informed, Ms. Heinz descended on her handlers with a vengeance, killing them in the various way they had forced her to carry out murders in turn. Will-O-Wisp had been the one on scene, and describes feeling pretty helpless to stop her, and disturbed by what he saw her do, but entirely unsympathetic. Afterwards, TALOS funded her trial and paid for her councelling.
    • Since then, the Heinz family has been on careful surveilance. However, their might come a time when TALOS's resources become stretched, the protection might lax and someone might think to bring her under their thumb again.

[up]You approved her before, back when I was PM-ing you profiles a while back since I had so many at the time. You basically said the same thing then too, actually. I just forgot to post her here.

But yeah, perhaps Fenris gets their hands on her family this second time around.

The new Sapphire, retconning the old one that's never been used yet:

Sapphire

  • Bailey "Shaquira" Bernadette, anti-villain
  • Sapphire bears the blue power crystal, originally wielded by the Blue Rakishi. Like many of the crystal users, the crystal canibalizes a wide variety and hefty amount of latent energies in the surrounding environment into its own personal store of energy. It exploits untapped genetic potential, such an inactive metagene complex, and simulates multiple possible permutations of its development to give its host a number of different powers, fueled by its stored energy.
    • Energizer (Electricity), Projection, "Electrogenesis": Sapphire can produce and project electricity. Lots of it, mostly through her hands. This is her strongest ability, rating up at lower-top tier of such energy projectors. A particular quirk of her electricity is that it is blue.
      • By focusing a ton of electricity in one spot with one hand at the end of her gunned fingers of one hand, she can fire a focused blue cutting beam.
    • Telekinesis: Mostly using her hands as foci, very middle tier in terms of raw power.
      • TK "Power Armor": Sapphire is very adept at sheathing herself in telekinetic force with almost thoughtless effort, but she does need to think about it. Through that, she can imitate the powers of a standard Flying Brick; speed, strength, flight, nigh-invulnerability. This sheathe has a tougher output than her normal TK, putting her somewhere between upper-mid, lower-top tier of flying bricks.
    • "Biokinetic Regeneration": She has a fairly speedy regeneration, but she has to think about it, focusing on the wounded area to mend and grow itself. When she does, blue electric sparks sizzle around the wound. She can also use this to supplement sustenance, allowing her to go on without eating, sleeping or breathing, and resist environmental extremities so long as she has the focus (and the the crystal has the energy).
      • Healing: If she's touching someone, and she focuses, she can lend them her own regenerative abilities and other benefits.
      • Emergency Astral Projection: In the case of death, as long as her body isn't totally destroyed, the crystal will keep what's left alive while her mind is shunted into an astral form. In this form, she can only work her Biokinetic Regeneration (as well as healing someone else if she's so inclined) to rebuild her body until it is suitable to inhabit once more. Note: She doesn't actually know about this power as she has never been "killed" before.
    • G.E.P.: Sapphire has a rather wide set of esper abilities, commonly known as the Generic Esper Package. She can read surface thoughts if she focuses while touching someone, feel intense nearby emotions, a blurry energy detection, a vague impression of a couple seconds into the future and vague impressions of the past if something particularly intense happened.
  • Sapphire is an African girl in her mid to late teens. Average height, curvy build, dark blue eyes brought about by the crystal. Her hair is made of a boquet of spikes, forming a pseudo-fro that almost resembles a kind of flower. It's colored a blue so dark to almost be black. The outward protrusion of her crystal runs all the way down her spine.
  • Bailey even before her empowerment, had a moral attitude comparable to your average D&D adventurer. She thought of herself as a hero, but in practice was more of a murder hobo. She was almost something of a vigilante, robbing from the wicked and keeping it for herself. While not incapable of empathy, forming connections and even being moved to action for a good cause, she is mostly in it for herself and for the thrill.
  • Pre-Sapphire, Bailey was a orphaned street urching turned thief and murderer, sometimes assassin, though by no means classically trained or even especially talented. She made up for it in boldness and willingness to do nearly whatever. She mostly limited herself to righteous hits, though she had her absolute limits to how low she was willing to dip, but she would lie, cheat, steal and kill for the funds to support her hedonistic life style.
    • Bailey got her powers while on the run after a job gone wrong. Days ago, the Blue Rakishi had met his end in a suicide attack against the Red Child and the blue crystal was in search of a new host. It found in her a moral apathy that was a dark reflection of the Rakishi's laziness but heroic bent. It empowered her and she quickly used it to take the fight to criminals that hunted her after her failed robbery against them. She slew them all, razed their headquarters to the ground and made off with all their stuff.
    • After this, she ran into Emerald. The veteran superheroine did her best to reign Bernadette in, but failed as the girl insisted in going off to do her own thing. The only thing Emerald imparted on the girl was her choice in alias, taking up the moniker of Sapphire.
    • Her history is unclear at this point. She may have been taken in by one of the villain schools, Raven College especially, or tempted over by Dunwhich Academy as long as she behaves herself under their tutelage. She might still be at large, possibly partnered with the red crystal bearer, Rubeous, hunting down evil doers and nicking their stuff.

I've been thinking about introducing another Parasite, but this one won't be focused on Rine. He may join TALOS along with Val'Ark.

Parasite One

  • Identity: Roken Eniq (goes by the name of Kol), Antihero. (no secret identity)

  • Powers and Abilities: Ability to manipulate Corrupted Hardlite like Val'Ark and the original Roken Eniq. He can create constructs of weapons, armour, and solid extensions of his body. However, he is limited to close-combat weapons only, and cannot create any projectile based weapons. He can also activate a perception filter, making him difficult to notice.

  • Weakness: Incredibly weak and unable to take many hits. This is unusual for a Parasite, as they are known to be well armoured and tough to kill without enhanced weaponry. However, due to the simultaneous Parasite mutations, Kol has been made much weaker than his fellow clones. His perception filter is also less effective than the original Roken, and can be bypassed by someone with even basic mental training.

  • Description: An eerily thin, tall figure, standing at around 7ft 2ins. Wears a dark tattered cloak to hide his Parasite features from the world. Black oily skin, although he has no chitin armour like Val'Ark. Also has a pair of batlike wings, however these are not suitable for flight, and only for gliding for short distances. Has a wide, permanent, shark-like grin, with two tiny red eyes.

  • Personality: A very unnerving character to be around. While Roken was fairly loud and vocal in his plans, Kol is a more quiet, reserved individual. He started out malevolent and beastlike, but due to regaining his memories of Kayden he has mellowed out since, and is more focused on discovering his purpose in the world. Another side-effect of him regaining the memories of Kayden is gaining a moral conscience, overriding his natural instincts to feed and destroy. As a result, he cannot stand injustices, but does not quite know how to end them humanely.

  • Background: Kol was the first Copy Roken created, and has witnessed Roken at the very start of his "career." However, during those times he was a mindless beast like the other Parasites, following Roken's directions loyally and without question. When the Parasites first arrived in Easton, they began to collectively mutate, with Kol being among the first. After the Shield fired their weapon into the Rift, subsequently destroying most of his kind, Kol has realised that this battle was to be an endless one, and as a result, has shifted focus onto more heroic deeds. However, he is not very good at it.

  • Identity: Roboto (Logan DeYoung), Villain/Hitman, Secret
  • Powers & Abilities:
    • Mobility - Roboto's greatest quality is that he's fast and agile, he's very run and gun type
    • Marksmanship - Good aim especially when mobile
    • Weapon of Choice: Pump Shotgun w/ Folding Stock and High Explosive shells, good for room clearing and even pushing back supers if need be.
    • Weapons Training: Can use anything as a weapon if needed.
    • Normal Human: Roboto is not augmented or super-powered in any way, he is a regular human being who just doesn't act like one.
  • Description: Domo Arigato.
  • Personality: Roboto is a sociopath through and through, he does not care about other people, nor does he truly wish to care, but he's not without morals and ethical standards. It's largely to give the professional image, but things become a lot harder when you're under investigation for wanton murder. In the end Roboto only looks forward to the next paycheck, he's good at killing and that's what he'll do for a long time. He prefers 80s style aesthetic but will still buy modern things, and even somewhere deep there may be some emotion and concern for others... but it's not coming out anytime soon. He also tends to speak entirely in pre-recorded messages when in the Roboto identity.
  • Background: Little can be said about Logan and who he was, he picked up a job that did involve killing, and from there, picked up job after job because he was good at it. Logan learned to be fast and agile, trained in weapons, and eventually picked up a identity for himself as a hitman, to the point that he's got a Delorean car to drive around in. The helmet was custom made to display LCD images as a way of non-audio communication.

Johnny Gatherer, an honorbound black ant samurai.

He is a hero, and his actions are almost always for the greater good.

He was at some point a Gatherer for his colony, but due to his backstory, he became a samurai. He has no one to keep it a secret from, except for humans most of the time.

His powers, which he gained from the blood of a samurai, include enhanced acrobatics, talented sword technique, speed, and amazing perception.

His weaknesses include foremost his size. If he is not always paying attention, he could be easily crushed. He also has an unwavable sense of honor, and the inability to cheat, or even kill someone from behind. This can give a bad guy willing to play dirty the upper hand.

My current profile picture is how Johnny looks. He is a 1/4 in. tall black ant wielding a gray sword with a green hilt.

Johnny is often kind, and his honor dictates his manners. He abides the laws of chivalry, and when faced with an enemy whom he decides he must kill, he will still do his best to treat the creature with respect in death.

Johnny was an average gatherer for his ant colony. At a young age, while out on a gathering mission, he was nearly swallowed by a dying toad. But the beast died before it could swallow Johnny. Johnny was able to escape its mouth, but he was forced to swim to land. This experience not only taught him to swim, a skill few ants knew, it also robbed him of his middle two legs, which the toad had ground up. Later in his life, his colony was under the feet of a battle between to samurai, clashing for the love of their life. One was killed, and bled into the anthill. This drowned every other ant, except Johnny, who was able to swim out. The blood of the samurai had, however, seeped into Johnny's soul, and he was since lead by the spirit and code of the samurai. He now wanders the Earth alone, hoping to help all those in need, be it the smallest mite, or the tallest human.

As I'm not having too much fun with Metallic Man I think I'll go with something more out there. I enjoy the more magical and mythic heroes, like The Mighty Thor, so I'm going with a godly hero in human form sort of like that.

Meet Quetzalcoatl:

  • Identity: Quetzalcoatl the Winged Serpent, Hero, god of the sky
    • Alternate Identities: Ramon de Quevedo (current preferred civilian name), Kukulkan, Gukumatz, Awanyu, Tohil, Muluc, Coatzin
  • Powers & Abilities:
    • Though his form is mostly human, Quetzalcoatl, in the form of Ramon, is still immortal, and he is much stronger, and more agile and durable than the average human. His "cape" is in actuality a set of wings that can unfurl so he can lift off into the air and fly.
    • Quetzalcoatl has control of wind and the weather in a localized area. Though in his human form his power is significantly limited compared to his true form's full power, he can still whip up tornadoes and gale-force winds with a flap of his multicolored wings.
    • Quetzalcoatl, being the god of knowledge and wisdom, is very intelligent. He speaks 15 different languages (including his mother tongue Nahuatl, Spanish, and English), and he is very well-read. He researches magical and cosmic phenomena, and being a god (even if diminished) he is attuned to the cosmic threads.
    • When needed, he can transform into his true winged serpent form. This gives him a significant power boost (roughly double his normal magical power), but at a price— his stamina drains much faster than in his human form, and if he stays in this form too long he could die.
  • Description: Lord of the West
  • Personality:
    • Quetzalcoatl is known to be wise and thoughtful, as well as kind to humanity. Despite this, his kindness does not mean he is weak, and he will stand firm against those that threaten others. In addition, he can be rather ruthless in combat. Quetzalcoatl is a learned man, who likes to observe and listen, learn as much as he can. He does not see himself as "above" humanity (humanity did slay the other Aztec gods), but instead equivalent to their true potential. He also has a deadpan sense of humor.
  • Background:
    • Quetzalcoatl is the Feathered Serpent deity of the Aztec people. He and the other Teotli ruled over the Aztecs, their strength granted to them by their worship (and blood sacrifice). After being tricked by a dark god to commit a grave sin, Quetzalcoatl left for the eastern sea, saying he would return. By the time he returned however, the Spanish had arrived in the New World, and preying on their belief that Hernan Cortes was the returned Quetzalcoatl, they conquered the Aztecs and the worship of the Teotli was banned.
    • Most of the other Teotli were killed by the lack of faith and blood, but as Quetzalcoatl never fed on blood, and he was away from Mexico at the time, he was merely weakened to almost human levels. Still immortal, he chose to hide among humans, and learn their ways.
    • He traveled the world, learning as much as he could. Eventually, he found his way to Easton in the United States, where he became aware of the existence of metahuman heroes in the city, and cosmic forces beginning to force themselves upon the mortal world. He also found he could access his powers, but in a weakened state. Nonetheless, he decided he would protect Easton and its people from threats.

Hey Sijo, I just had a thought; my character JJ/Julian doesn't get much time in the spotlight, being a college student and all(and that I love playing Xy). So I was thinking, if you and emily are okay with it, having her "transferred" to Facility Kappa to continue her studies AND work on her powers.

Identity: Blood Diamond (Damu Almasi, Villain, secret identity)

Powers & Abilities:

  • Diamond-Hard body: Damu is nearly invulnerable. While not super-strong, she can hit pretty hard and her nails and teeth can scratch through almost anything. She still needs to breathe, though.

Description: An African teenage girl in a sequined red bodysuit.

Personality: Utterly selfish- she cares only whether things do good or wrong to her.

Background: Damu is a Swahili girl whose family was slaughtered in one of Africa's many internecine racial wars. She survived only to be enslaved and be put to work on a mine collecting "blood diamonds" as the gemstones were known, not for their color but for the price paid to get them (human lives.) These experiences destroyed any empathy she might have ever had.

One day, however, she found a strange red crystal. Something in it called to her. She did not know it, but it was an ancient artifact of a long-forgotten African Empire. Its magic filtered into her body, giving her its powers. With them, she made a bloody escape from the mines, not without first taking some stones for her future.

With her powers and small fortune, she was able to escape Africa and this horrible life. However she soon spent all of it. Unwilling to make an honest living when she could just take what she wanted, Damu, drawing inspiration from the Crystal Bearers (to which she is not connected, by the way) created the identity of Blood Diamond and began a series of international gem robberies. Rumor is that her next target is located in Easton.

Name: Brass Lass

(Author’s note: read the following paragraph with an excited narrator’s voice.)

“A girl wearing a robotic armor, or a robot with the appearance of a girl? No one knows where this young lady came from, but her name quickly made it to the news as the next superhero of Easton city. She may be made of brass, but she strikes hard like iron and swiftly like lead. Bad guys beware, we have a new hero on the streets: Brass Lass.”

Powers and Abilities:

  • Made of Brass
    • The raison d’etre of Brass Lass’ name. Her armor — or body? — is made out of golden-colored brass. Therefore, she has all of its strengths and weaknesses. Mainly, Brass Lass easily resists physical abuse as well as extreme temperatures (high and low) that would seriously harm or incapacitate ordinary humans. She is also stronger than the average person — after all, she needs to carry her own weight around —, but usually not superhumanly so. Pushing a car our of her way is within her abilities, but lifting it with her bare hands isn’t.
Vulnerabilities of her brass constitution include electricity and (some kinds of) acid. Water is also a potentially huge problem for Brass Lass: while corrosion does require prolonged exposure… she just sinks to the bottom.

  • Ten Fingers and One Thousand Tools
    • Brass Lass also possesses limited shapeshifting capabilities. She can make cosmetic additions to her appearance at will, but they don’t go beyond what a change of clothes and ornaments is to an ordinary person (and, obviously, it’s always some shade of brass).
Nevertheless, she honed her skills to excellence when it comes to her hands. Her hands and fingers can become any tool or object that she has taken the time to observe, as long as it isn’t microscopically small or cumbersomely large.
Items she can produce effortlessly include, but are not limited to: a pair of scissors, a nail clipper, a hammer, wrenches of all sizes, a knife blade, a screwdriver, a wire stripper, a pair of knuckle-dusters, etc. Unique or self-powered items take more than a thought to turn into, such as power drills and keys (other than her personal ones).

Techniques:

  • Stunning Fanfare
    • Brass Lass grows tubes and valves spanning the length of her hand to her shoulders, turning her arms into musical instruments. The air that enters and flows through exits from the palms of her hands with enormous vibrating power, disorienting and stunning an enemy at melee or intimate range for a few seconds.

  • Spring like a Bee
    • By turning her forearms into loaded springs, Brass Lass gets ready to engage in rapid-fire fisticuffs at short ranges.

Appearance:
Covered in her namesake from head to toe, Brass Lass seems to wear a golden-colored armor composed of individual plates held together with nuts and bolts. In spite of its machinelike constitution, it vaguely resembles common clothing: the middle section resembles a blouse with elbow-length puffy sleeves, while the bottom sections resembles a bell-shaped, frilled skirt. She wears heavy boots. While her hands are humanlike, going so far to have (brass) nails, she has bolts on her knuckles.
Finally, Brass Lass’ head is like a helmet that vaguely mimics organic features. It has vertical slits where her mouth would be, and large visor that composes most of her face. The visor has headphone-like extensions on the sides, and also contains one of the few non-brass pieces of her entire outfit: two circular glass panes, each with an unblinking red light in the middle of a black backdrop. Above the visor, her head is sculpted like flowing locks of curly hair, that extend back to the top of her neck. Brass Lass also wears a decorative red ribbon tied around her neck like a choker.
Brass Lass isn’t known to be particularly stealthy, the clanking of metal plates and the stomping of her feet announcing her coming.

Personality:
A friendly and light hearted 15-ish years old girl. She’s idealistic and always assumes the best of people, for better or for worse. Brass Lass decided to become a superheroine to make the world a better place, but, deep inside, she really wants to prove herself (prove what? To whom?). As such, she’s always trying to please the people around her. She knows more about mathematics and mechanical engineering than other people her age — not enough to create anything new, but she could repair a normal machine or help a gadgeteer metahuman build something without that much trouble.

Backstory:''
(Author’s note: I’m planning on deciding the specifics of Brass Lass’ backstory during play. I’m thinking that Brass Las isn’t fully human in origin. Maybe she’s a metahuman made out of energy or a robot trying to become more human. I’m also thinking her current state is the result of experimentation by a benevolent super-engineer. Maybe a good guy who ran away with her from a government program he was working on, or Doctor Vega, hero turned anti-villain turned hermit. Either way, this person is her parental figure.)

Potential:
In no particular order, powers and techniques Brass Lass may come to develop.

  • Overwhelming Overture
    • Taking a few seconds to grow tubes and valves spanning her entire body, becoming a powerful musical instrument. She emits a loud and low-pitched noise like an uncoordinated band of trumpets, trombones and tubas all going at it at once. This horrible sound echoes and reverberates, stunning and briefly deafening anyone who can hear it up to medium range. The noise, however, can be heard from further away.

  • Ice Skates
    • Brass Lass grows blades on her boots for ice skating! But can the ice stand her weight?

  • Fortissimo
    • Brass Lass’ arms increase in size, as she turns her forearms into an array of hydraulic pistons that vastly increase her strength. This comes at the cost of speed.

  • (Unnamed) Armor
    • Multiple layers of armor surround Brass Lass, and she becomes a tad taller than before. She gains resilience at the cost of speed.

  • (Unnamed) Fly Like a Butterfly
    • She grows a jetpack.
