A rather young boy awakens in the city, head throbbing with pain. Weakly, he stumbles to his feet, only to be brought back down to his knees by a sudden burst of lethargy.
...Jesus...what the hell is happen..ing?
Mustering what little energy he has, he shakily rises back up. Though he takes a couple awkward steps at first, eventually he manages to regain full coherency. He observes the area with golden, obviously inhuman, eyes.
"...Where the..?"
Confused, he starts to look around for answers.

Elsewhere in the city, in a city-centre type area, another light besides the sun is shining. It bounces off the buildings, sending an ever-changing dance of gleams and shimmers across the nearby blocks, a spectacular lightshow which would surely draw attention.
The entity at the lightshow's heart, however, doesn't seem to even notice as it extends unearthly and otherworldly senses around itself, apparently trying to get a feel for the area. Anyone who's nearby may feel the brush of another Will, another mind against their own.
Then again, the lightshow is far further spread than this effect, so barring unfortunate starting positioning, one would notice that first before they are subjected to it.

Though the boy isn't nearby at the moment, he groans and considers checking it out (having nothing else to do).
"...Maybe I can get some answers over there..?"
He tiredly begins to shuffle towards the light in the distance. Eventually, after around a minute of walking, he finds a unchained bike leaning against the wall of a nearby Mc Donalds.
"...Sweet."
He hops onto the bike, and takes off at greater speeds towards the light.

As he gets closer, he would see that the light is coming from a corona or halo around something in the distance, something not remotely human or even organic; what few shapes are visible are far too angular. Around the same time he gets in range to see it that clearly, though, he would also feel the disconcerting brush of another mind against his own. It doesn't seem to be invasive, or even willing or able to get anything out of him, though, more simply... reaching out to see if anyone's there, like a blind man.

In the same city, a golden figure materialises from thin air, floating upside-down above several buildings.
"Wait, what the—?!"

"...H-hello?"
He sees the floating figure, and seems even more confused than before.
"Uh...hi!"

"Uhh... hey."
The golden figure then frowns.
"...Why the hell am I floating upside-down?"

The entity senses the second being in a similar way, and he would also feel a similar probing brush against his mind. It appears to take notice, whether of the sound or the contact, and may have turned to face them; it's hard to tell. In truth, the entity has felt the soundwaves, as well as the mental contact, and somehow, some part of it has managed to translate them to useful sound. It tries to reply, but finds it has no lips. Of course, it gives no visible sign of this. Deciding to work with what it's got, it reaches out to both of them, and the mental contact becomes more...deliberate.
H-hello? Can you...hear me?
...I imagine the same reason I can no longer see, it also replies to the golden figure, after a moment's pause, possibly for thought.

"No, I've got no idea why you're floating, and I don't know how to get you down, either!"
Is this New York?
He shivers once again after the entity reaches out. He decides to try something reluctantly, and sort of imagines a voice saying yes, I can hear you, in an attempt to respond to the voice.

"...Yeah, I can hear you."
The figure frowns, before finally managing to flip himself to an upright floating position. He seems to be taking this quite well.
"Much better. Well, that was easy."
He looks at the young man.
"Well, looks like I managed to fix the upside-down problem... not the floating one, though."

I... hear your speech better, if you're... thinking at me...? I can get sounds...
Kinda new to this whole... telepathy business, or whatever it is... There is a sense of disbelief behind the words, as though the entity can hardly believe the situation it's been placed in. It wonders if it's in a dream, but dismisses the thought almost immediately; its thoughts are too coherent for that, it hardly ever dreams anyway in its normal state, and if it were waking up enough to realize it were in a dream, it would begin to feel its real body. But all it can feel are its strange senses of the world around it, and the other's minds.
Well, it seems your problems are easier to fix than mine, since I still can't see, it mentally mutters to the floating figure, but with almost no trace of bitterness, more in the tone of a neutral, objective observation. It tries to open its eyes, but finds it doesn't have any. Only the mysterious senses it's still trying to figure out. Besides the people, it thinks it can feel... shapes around it? And the movement of the air? Though that at a much shorter distance...
If the kitten is close enough, it may also feel the mental touch, like fingers on its mind instead of its physical head.

The entity may find the young man's thoughts odd, as if they aren't speaking to a human. It somehow seems more...wild, and primal. Maybe even a bit dangerous or angry, but it's faint, if anything.
"...Erm...what are your names?"
He stares at the cat. Despite being more of a dog person, he waves at it.

"Well... maybe you can try feeling stuff...?"
The figure's hand moves over to his eyepatch, before trying to remove it... only to be assaulted by very vivid images of things a normal human would not be able to see. Immediately, he moves to cover his eye with said eyepatch again, breathing heavily.
"H-holy fuck, I was not expecting... that..."
He takes a few more breaths, before calming down.
"I'm Glenn."
He then glances at the kitten.

The kitten mewls in surprise as she feels the Metatron's effects. "Mew! Wha-?" She waves back at Pastry.

I am... I was... Michael... it "says", slowly, uncertainly. It notices the oddities of the boy's mind, and recoils a little, but keeps the contact in place.
I can, but... it's weird... at least I can still talk, and be understood, kinda...
Guess I'll need some time to puzzle it out...
It begins thinking, possible hypotheses running through its head, only to be interrupted by Glenn.
A-are you okay? A sense of alarm, and more of its attention seems to focus on Glenn, as though it were trying to look at him. It feels and perceives his distress, but little else. What... happened? It then hears him name himself as Glenn, and noticeably freezes, mentally and physically.
Wait, Glenn? As in...? It pauses. Obviously, there were a lot of Glenns. But something weird was obviously going on, which made it not implausible that the others could also be involved... after all, if, hypothetically, a mysterious entity was seeking beings wishing to escape their earthly lives, or some such, such a group could possibly be its first port of call, especially if it worked through the EM spectrum...
Or, you know, he could have been in an accident and now be blind and speaking through some kind of machine. That could be a thing too. But that didn't explain why he could feel what he now suspected to be the shapes of buildings around him. Unless he was tripping balls hard. But he worked with the reality he could observe.
It noticed the kitten, and seemed confused. Its ability to sense shapes had apparently grown to the point that it could sense that it was, well, a kitten. Or at least, not human. But was it just... trying to talk human?

And then he turns to Michael again.

He just glances at the kitten, blinking at it.

A worried expression clear on his face, he looks around. Remembering the Mc Donalds from earlier, he has to resist the urge to take off towards it- though he's hungry, he'd much prefer some answers over a snack.
"...So, what the hell's going on, here?"

And then he blinks upon hearing Rylee.
"Rylee? ...Well, shit, this is a weird dream, isn't it?"
He just responds to DJ with a shrug.
"I honestly dunno what's happening here..."

Though the cluster of radiance has no body language, obviously, a sense of an emotion almost like a troll smirk begins to emanate from it.
