Anyway, in the end it doesn't matter what the canonicity of the events are, when a author invokes Rule of Funny, he's generally giving himself a carte blanche to ignore prior characterization for the sake of the joke.

If this was a different story referencing it sure, but the events themselves happen as seen in FGO. No Broad Strokes at all.
@Hail Muffins: Events and characters being played for Gags doesn't stop it from being canon in Nasuverse. Hell some of the stuff used as lore or refeenced is first used as jokes in other things. IE Shinji uses Friendmaker from Carnival Phantasm to make friends in Last Encore to stab his friend.

Muffins: No, every FGO event is canon in the sense that every story chapter is canon. Like Xuanzang referenced Go West and MHXA and Kiri and so on all show up in Salomon.
