Speaking of, I still need another 33 bones level two of Gray's skills. Work, work.
Her 3rd skill battery doesn't change so you can honestly leave it be for a good while
I absolutely cannot help but adore handsome 2D boysHere's an odd one for you to consider, where game balance is concerned: consider how few team-wide defence buffs there are (and defence buffs in general are quite skimpy) and damage cuts, the amazing scarcity of temporary HP, and the total lack of any non-Guts revival skill in a game that technically has multiple dedicated healers and is all about these people being summoned spirits. And Lostbelt even refuses to let you have the best source of basic defence bonuses.
And yet there's still plenty of "ignores defence" things going around, so it's not like the developers have to avoid defence stacking.
Edit: Of every Servant released in the next two years, the following have any sort of self def buff: Galatea, Hajime, dinosaur, Odysseus, Mandricardo, Gareth, Paris. Brynserker has a damage cut. The only person who has a defence buff affecting someone else who comes out in the next two years is Chen Gong.
Maybe someone might have one on NP, I wasn't checking those closely. But still, that's... really few.

Avatar SourceMaxed out on QP, time to do some skill ups.
All of this point to the intended playstyle to be aggressive, attack orientated, damage race, where you have to kill opponents as fast as you can, because there's not much in the way of defense.
Except then they introduce Break Bars, which forcibly slow down battles, so that's confusing.
Bad idea, but I get the sentiment.

And 90+ nodes, which are designed to prevent easy steamrolling. And 90 nodes with only two enemies. At the same time, they like enemies with buff stripping or invuln pierce (to negate the far-more-common evade or invuln). What this really points to is no forethought or desire to innovate in mechanics, just reacting to nerf whatever players are using.
This isn't even getting into weird things like the Zeus fight or Ibuki.

Avatar SourceThat does seem to be the case, huh.
It's been fun.Bonus points, in terms of self-def buffs, I think†only Shapeshift (so like, Tamamo and Nursery Rhyme... maybe there's some other shapeshifters with it I've forgotten) and Galatea's are massively significant rather than just some mitigation. If the opponent doesn't have an atk buff (because of the way it's implemented that negates an equal percent of def buff, which is another problem with anything except absolute immunity...) then that can get up to 60% less damage for one turn, or Galatea basically has a 2-hit evade. Otherwise...
†That is, I didn't notice any huge values but I've only been skimming. There might be more.

For those low QP-numbers?
Let me tell you this.
Sometimes, I don't even get 300 000 QP after a kill... despite having two MLB Bella Lisa and a MLB Mona Lisa equipped on the hunting team.
And sometimes, I got 2.3 million for a kill.
So the drops are very irregular, to say the least.

I can concur that the mat and QP drop rate is very unusual, since it looks like QP is part of the overall RNG for mats.
[DATA LOST]I mean, I did say average. High variance should matter way less over 100+ runs.
Avatar Source43 million kills confirmed.
Barbatos is going to be dead in a couple of hours at this rate...
I wonder if anyone's graphing the kills/time.
Anyway, good; once Barbatos dies things can be finished.
Avatar SourceI think I found one at least.... and here's another too.
EDIT: We have less than 8 hours to kill Barbatos at this rate.

[DATA LOST]I am amazed over that the kill-rate has been consistent with its 200 kills/s ever since it was released.
I imagine it to increase once the remaining life bar gets lower and lower...
That feels too consistent. Like, there's only an average dip of 2 kills across early morning in NA?

Avatar SourceI think there's like 50 million Barbatoses (Barbati?), going by the kill number so far. And I've gotten everything I want from the store, so all that's left is to finish off the missions once Barbatos is done.

That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.That's correct. We started off the goal of the NA playerbase needing to kill Barbatos 50M times. That's the difference between NA and JP when they started at 20M and DW had to increase it since they went too fast.
I don't really see an issue with how consistent it is, but that might be due to opinions on how needed this raid was for players that need the materials.
[DATA LOST]We can probably assume most of the NA playerbase is in either the Americas or Europe, correct? Given that, you would expect the average kills to show some decline from peak (because of people sleeping etc.) anywhere from 2300Z to about 0900Z as things wake up. Even accounting for automation and different playtimes, this is weirdly consistent (that's not even getting into apples etc. or people just stopping).
Avatar Source44 Million dead.
This boss might not even last eight hours...
If you want to assume bots were involved, I could see it, but then there would be less drops in kills if that were the case.
[DATA LOST]The thing is that the drops in kills are very minor compared to the overall total, so it makes me wonder if there's just some base value boosting it to keep it on target. That honestly wouldn't be hard to do, especially because the raid HP has a perfectly linear graph: no early bump for EVERYONE trying to murder Barbatos, no sudden surge of people getting on it now it's dying...
Avatar SourceHm, that's possible as I've seen people/friends stopping to conserve apples or because of working hours (though that varies a lot if people are farming at work too.) It's also worrisome that I see people with nearly 1k in kills, but I'm assuming those are outlier hardcore farmers.
[DATA LOST]I'd probably be about 1.5k if I hadn't gotten to the point I don't really know what to do with the QP and wanted to conserve apples, but yeah. Definitely an outlier; either you're a monomaniac or automating.

It really isn't. The advantage of this raid is it gives near-or-better-than-doors QP whilst also giving you an elevated droprate for a whole bunch of mats and Assassin skill gems—basically, this raid is designed to let you max out Gray regardless of what you came into the event with. It's nothing that's worth spending quartz on if what you're after is QP alone.
Naturally, they've never repeated anything like it for any other event with a welfare. Hell, I think this is it for raids until GudaGuda 5 and that involves a raid option so bad even JP barely did it.
