I don't know if anybody knew it, but Emiya's NP was originally Arts.

Are we sure Medb doesn't have Mad Enhancement or Mental Pollution? She seems to be in her own little world and is incapable of thinking in any manner that isn't all about her. I'd say that's just being a narcissist, but even Gilgamesh, the biggest narcissist in the Nasuverse, is capable of appreciating things outside of himself as evident by his Caster self. It's like Medb is on a completely different wavelength.

Locomoco sauce is kind of sweet, I would say. It's a brown sauce.

Vanity is one hell of a drug.

Medb is fully capable of appreciating things beyond herself. But, much like Gil's ego when he's around as Archer, she has absolutely no interest in it for basically everyone.

I mean, Medb was recorded in the collective subconscious of humanity as an immortal and perfect champion of the human spirit... specifically because of how good she is at sex.

I'd be at least a little vain if that was me, just saying.

Fairy blood is helluva drug. Don't ask how much fairy blood she actually has, I have no idea about her lineage.

So someone got all of Caster Artoria's bond lines out on the wiki. Gareth, Merlin, herself as Saber...

And Medb. Medb.

She actually has a ton (she's like Abigail; her third ascension has completely separate lines) and not all of them for third ascension have been put on the fandom wiki yet, but at least it got that one.

So, her way of acting is resembling that of a fae? Not exactly a good sign.

Who cares about who Medb acts for a second, that seems like a suggestion that the fairy in the trailer is probably Mab (also known as Titania). The Fairy Queen.

Going with Spencer's work would also be super appropriate because IIRC that's why Excalibur keeps getting made into a laser sword. I think he did some Arthurian stuff?

Correcting my derp above: yes, Edmund Spenser wrote the Fairy Queen. The blinding light thing was originally in Mallory. I don't know if it came up in that, though.

Now that you mention it, she does have a bunch of lines. I was checking them out and they sound so interesting, they give me a post-LB 6 feel.

Checking in-game, she only has a special line for Merlin in third ascension. I'm guessing they'll add more after LB 6 then and the wiki is just unfixed formatting after copying a template.

Saber got a new extra attack that goes with a triple-buster chain. Also a third buster anim obviously. EXCALIBAAAAAH!

Huh, the wiki actually shows lines for Merlin in both Ascensions. They're different too.

Edit: Unless you meant that she has a line for Merlin alone and I misinterpreted Yup, thought so lol.

Yes, that's what I mean. Merlin is the only one who has a special line for her third ascension, going from both the translated lines on the wiki and looking at the in-game menu.

Bonus discovery on the above: if Saber finishes a battle with a triple buster chain, she's posing with her back to the camera.

That line Castoria has for Medb is "So that's Medb? Wow... Not only in looks, but in personality and tone of voice too... she's so much like the fairy I know that it's actually kind of uncanny. Maybe I'll invite her out for cheesecake sometime."

New Nasu diary update. The summer event will be horror-based, as expected. Nasu wrote the scenarios for Emiya and Kiara.

The way she reacts to Gareth is stupidly adorable. I can only imagine Gareth being flustered at seeing her King acting like this.

Why should she have it? Mad Enhancement and Mental Pollution are about inherent flaws in self-awareness, which is the exact opposite of Medb's MO. Medb's crazy bitch reputation is very intentional and carefully calculated.

The contrast between Stage 1-2 and 3 is interesting. In the earlier stages she's just like an apprentice mage, but in the 3rd stage she suddenly goes king-mode. She calls herself "a nameless king without a throne who calls out to the twilight sky" and says that she's "the desired form that girl couldn't reach".

Is there some split identity going on?

It's more likely that the different stages represent different points. Rather than trying to spread it across two Servants, they made her ascensions cover it all—again, reference Abigail. Or Kama.

With that small animation update to saber artoria I'm willing to bet that castoria will evolve into saber over the course of lb6
